Please read this user manual BEFORE installing your seat.
Incorrect installation could endanger your child.

WARNINGS + SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONSEN
IMPORTANT! KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
• NOTICE: For an “i-SIZE enhanced child restraint
system”, the user shall also be referred to the
vehicle manufacturer’s handbook.
• Keep this user manual with your MESA i-SIZE
Carrier at all times.
• The MESA i-SIZE system should only be used for
children 40 – 78 cm and a maximum weight of 13 kg.
NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED.
• You are personally responsible for the safety of
your baby at all times.
• Always secure your baby with the harness belt
system properly adjusted to your child, even when
you are not using the carrier inside the vehicle.
• Before each use, make sure the harness is not
damaged or twisted.
•Makesureyoucantnomorethanonenger
between the harness and your baby (1cm). If there
is more than 1cm of space, pull the belt tensioner
strap to tighten the harness further.
WARNING: NEVER place the UPPAbaby MESA
i-SIZE Carrier on an elevated surface (such as a table
or chair).
• This (infant) car seat is not intended for prolonged
periods of sleep.
• DO NOT use the carrier as a reclined cradle once
your child can sit unaided.
• This carrier does not replace a cot or a bed. Should
your child need to sleep, then it should be placed
in a suitable cot or bed.
• DO NOT use the carrier if any components are
broken or missing.
• DO NOT use accessories or replacement parts
other than those approved by UPPAbaby.
WARNINGS + SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS EN
• Never use the carrier without the fabric cover. The
cover is a safety feature and may only be replaced
by an original UPPAbaby MESA i-SIZE cover.
• Always cover the carrier when exposed to direct
sunlight in the car as the cover, metal and plastic
parts can become too hot for your child’s skin.
• The carrier MUST NOT be installed in a front
passenger seat WITH AN ACTIVATED AIRBAG.
• In the vehicle, make sure all luggage and other
objects are secured.
• DO NOT use second hand products if you do not
know their history.
• Use only original parts approved by the
manufacturer.
• Replace the MESA i-SIZE Base and Carrier after
an accident.
WARNING: DO NOT make ANY changes to the
UPPAbaby MESA i-SIZE Base or Carrier, as this could
affect the performance of the car seat and render
it unsafe.
• Make sure to closely follow the installation
instructions provided by the manufacturer.
• When installed in the vehicle, make sure the
fold-down rear seat is locked into position.
• Prevent the seat from becoming trapped or
weighed down by luggage, seats and/or slamming
doors.
• In the vehicle, the carry handle must be in the full
forward position.

EN WARNINGS + SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
• The MESA i-SIZE Carrier installs
differently on airplane seats.
• Installing the MESA i-SIZE Carrier
with a 2-point safety belt is only allowed when
used in an aircraft.
• The MESA i-SIZE Carrier can only be installed on
forward-facing seats on an aircraft.
• The MESA i-SIZE Carrier is only approved for use
on an aircraft seat authorized by the airline.
• The MESA i-SIZE Carrier must remain belted on
the aircraft seat, even when unoccupied.
• The MESA i-SIZE Base cannot be used on an
aircraft seat.
Remove infant insert when the
child is 60cm or approximately
3 months old for additional room
and comfort.
INFANT INSERT AIRPLANE USAGE
The headrest provides the highest
level of protection and safety
when adjusted to the proper
height for your child. NOTE: The
headrest may align with the top
of your child’s shoulders. The
optimum height position of the
shoulder belts is reached when
the belts are at or slightly below
the baby’s shoulder height.

CLEANING + GENERAL MAINTENANCE
CLEANING CANOPY, SEAT COVER, BUCKLE COVER AND SHOULDER PADS
The MESA i-SIZE seat cover is machine washable. Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle with mild detergent.

CLEANING INFANT INSERT
The infant insert can be spot cleaned using warm water with a mild detergent and damp cloth. NEVER use aggressive
cleaning agents. DO NOT soak. Air dry completely before re-use or storage.
CLEANING PLASTIC PARTS
The MESA i-SIZE Carrier’s plastic parts can be cleaned with a mild detergent or with a damp cloth. NEVER use
aggressive cleaning agents. (e.g. solvents). Towel dry completely before re-use or storage.
CLEANING HARNESS WEBBING
The belt system can be spot cleaned using warm water with a mild detergent and damp cloth. NEVER use aggressive
cleaning agents. DO NOT soak. Air dry completely before re-use or storage.
CLEANING BUCKLE AND LOWER ANCHOR CONNECTOR HARDWARE
The buckle should fasten with a ‘click’. If not, rinse under warm running water and towel dry. DO NOT use lubricants
or detergents.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR:
• Only UPPAbaby replacement parts should be used. It may be unsafe to use parts supplied by another manufacturer.
• Contact your UPPAbaby distributor with any repair questions.
DO NOT USE BLEACH, SOLVENT OR HOUSEHOLD
CLEANERS AS THEY MAY WEAKEN THE PLASTIC
PARTS AND HARNESS WEBBING.
DO NOT USE SOAPS OR LUBRICANTS ON BUCKLE
OR HARDWARE AS THEY MAY CAUSE THE PARTS
TO MALFUNCTION.

• Guarde este manual con su Transportador MESA
i-SIZE en todo momento.
• El sistema MESA i-SIZE solo se debe utilizar para
niños de 40-78 cm y con un peso máximo de 13 kg.
NUNCA DEJE AL NIÑO SIN VIGILANCIA.
• Usted es personalmente responsable de la
seguridad de su bebé en todo momento.
• Asegure siempre a su bebé con el sistema de

• NO use accesorios o piezas de repuesto que no
estén homologados por UPPAbaby.
• NUNCA use el transportador sin la funda de tela.
La funda es un elemento de seguridad y solo debe
reemplazarse por una funda original MESA i-SIZE
de UPPAbaby.
• Proteja la piel de su niño en el coche, cubriendo
el transportador siempre que esté expuesto al
sol directo, ya que la funda, las partes de metal
y plástico pueden alcanzar temperaturas muy
elevadas.
• El transportador NO se debe instalar en el
asiento delantero del pasajero CON EL AIRBAG
ACTIVADO.
• En el vehículo, asegúrese que todas las maletas
y demás objetos estén sujetos.
• NO use productos de segunda mano sin conocer
su historia.
• Use sólo piezas originales homologadas por el
fabricante.

COJÍN REGULADOR USO EN AVIONES
El reposacabezas proporciona el
máximo nivel de protección y
seguridad cuando se ajusta a la
altura adecuada para su hijo/a.
NOTA: El reposacabezas puede
alinearse con la parte superior de
los hombres del niño/a. La posi-
ción de altura óptima de las correas
de transporte se consigue cuando
las correas están a la
altura, o ligeramente por debajo, de

MESA i-SIZE es lavable a máquina. Lávela a máquina en agua fría en un ciclo suave y con detergente suave. Seque sobre

LIMPIEZA DEL COJÍN REGULADOR El cojín regulador se puede limpiar usando agua tibia con un detergente suave

• Conserva sempre il presente manuale dell’utente
insieme al Seggiolino MESA i-SIZE.
• Il sistema MESA i-SIZE deve essere usato solo per
bambini di 40-78 cm e con peso massimo di 13 kg.
NON LASCIARE MAI IL TUO BAMBINO
INCUSTODITO.
• Sei sempre personalmente responsabile della
sicurezza del tuo bambino.
• Assicura sempre il bambino con il sistema di
cinghie per imbracatura cinture regolato
correttamente, anche quando non utilizzi il
seggiolino all’interno del veicolo.
• Prima di ogni uso, verifica che l’imbracatura cinture
non sia danneggiata o attorcigliata.
• Accertati di non poter infilare più di un dito tra
l’imbracatura cinture e il tuo bambino (1 cm).
Se c’è più di 1 cm di spazio, tira il tendicinghia per
stringere ulteriormente l’imbracatura cinture.
AVVERTENZA: NON posizionare MAI il Seggiolino
MESA i-SIZE UPPAbaby su una superficie elevata
(come un tavolo o una sedia).
• La seduta dell’auto (per bambini) non è destinata
all’uso per periodi prolungati d sonno.
• NON utilizzare il seggiolino per auto come culla
reclinata quando il bambino può stare seduto da
solo.
• Questo seggiolino per auto non sostituisce una
culla o un letto. Se il tuo bambino dovesse avere
bisogno di dormire, deve essere messo in una culla
o in un letto adeguato.

• Copri sempre il seggiolino quando è esposto

poiché la copertura e le parti in metallo e in
plastica possono scaldarsi troppo per la pelle
del tuo bambino.
• Il seggiolino NON DEVE essere installato su un
sedile passeggero anteriore CON AIRBAG ATTIVO.
• All’interno del veicolo, accertati che tutti i bagagli
e gli altri oggetti siano fissati.
• NON utilizzare un prodotto di seconda mano se
non ne conosci la storia.
• Utilizza esclusivamente parti originali approvate

dopo un incidente.

si installa in modo diverso
sui sedili degli aerei.
• L’installazione del Seggiolino
MESA i-SIZE con una cintura di sicurezza a
2 punti è consentito esclusivamente quando
utilizzato su un aereo.
• Il Seggiolino MESA i-SIZE può essere installato
|esclusivamente sui sedili rivolti in avanti i un
aereo.
• Il Seggiolino MESA i-SIZE è omologato
esclusivamente per l’uso sulla seduta di un
aereo autorizzato dalla compagnia aerea.
• Il Seggiolino MESA i-SIZE deve restare fissato
dalle cinture sul sedile dell’aereo, anche
quando non è occupato.
• La Base i-SIZE MESA non può essere utilizzata
su una seduta dell’aeromobile.
Rimuovere l’inserto del neonato
quando il bambino misura 60
cm o ha circa 3 mesi per avere
ulteriore spazio e comfort.
INSERTO PER BAMBINI USO IN AEREO
Il poggiatesta offre il massimo
livello di protezione e sicurezza
se regolato all’altezza corretta per
il bambino. NOTA: il poggiatesta
può essere allineato con la parte
superiore delle spalle del bambino.
La posizione ottimale in altezza
delle cinghie sulle spalle viene
raggiunta quando le cinghie si
trovano all’altezza delle spalle del
bambino o leggermente al di sotto.
IL POGGIATESTA
ISTRUZIONI PER LA PULIZIA E LA MANUTENZIONE
CAPOTTINA DI PULIZIA, COPRISEDILE, INSERTI PER NEONATI, COPERCHIO CON FIBBIA E SPALLINE La copertura
della seduta MESA i-SIZE è lavabile in lavatrice. Lavare in lavatrice in acqua fredda con un ciclo per capi delicati con
detergente neutro. Asciugare in piano e lontano dalla luce diretta del sole prima di riutilizzarlo o riporlo.
PULIZIA DELL’INSERTO PER BAMBINI L’inserto per bambini può essere smacchiato con acqua calda, un detergente
neutro e un panno umido. NON utilizzare detergenti aggressivi. NON mettere in ammollo. Lasciare asciugare
completamente prima di riutilizzarla o di riporla.
PULIZIA DELLE PARTI IN PLASTICA Le parti in plastica possono del Seggiolino MESA i-SIZE possono essere pulite con
un detergente neutro o con un panno umido. Non utilizzare detergenti aggressivi. (ad esempio solventi). Tamponare con
un asciugamano prima di riutilizzarlo o di riporlo.

• Das MESA i-SIZE System sollte nur für Kinder
mit einer Größe von 40 - 78 cm und einem

Sie am Gurtspanner-Riemen, um den Gurt fester
