For your safety, do not attempt to disassemb e the R100 Remote
Contro . There are no user-serviceab e parts inside. Use on y the
micro USB charger and rechargeab e ithium po ymer battery
supp ied with the unit or proper rep acement batteries. Do not
expose for extended periods of time to excessive heat, moisture
or direct sun ight. C ean on y with a soft, dry c oth. Changing the
physica ocation of this unit to a p ace other than where origina y
insta ed may negative y affect performance.
About Rechar eable Lithium Polymer Batteries
If you wi not be using your remote for an extended period of
time, remove the battery. Do not attempt to disassemb e, puncture,
a ter or app y heat to the battery. Use care to avoid dropping
battery or subjecting it to severe impact that cou d damage the
case. Battery shou d not be immersed in water. Risk of exp osion
if battery is rep aced by an incorrect type. P ease recyc e dep eted

Your Hom S t R100 R mot Control works with th Hom S t
C100 Control Hub for asy, handh ld control and automation of
l ctronic compon nts in your hom (audio/vid o and hom
nt rtainm nt d vic s such as lights, th rmostats, s curity syst ms
and mor ) to mak lif mor njoyabl . Th R100 is a wir l ss
r mot that is install d as part of a Hom S t syst m by your smart
hom prof ssional.
Th R100 is a Wi-Fi bas d R mot and do s not us “lin of sight”
infrar d (IR) or low fr qu ncy RF. It’s th p rf ct acc ssory
companion for your TV room or b droom.

an l ctronic compon nt (such as a N st Th rmostat), data is also

Before Gettin Started

Th Hom S t R100 R mot Control is d sign d for us on your
local wir l ss n twork similar to how your phon , tabl ts or
comput rs work. Us d in conjunction with a Hom S t C100 Bas
Station, th R100 can also control your hom ’s A/V d vic s. By
using a local wir l ss n twork conn ction, th R100 can control
your syst m without b ing in lin -of- sight of th quipm nt by
s nding commands ov r your hom n twork.
●Programmab e via a web page interface by an authorized
programmer
To fully automat your hom nt rtainm nt, comfort, and s curity
syst m your prof ssional programm r will gath r knowl dg of
d vic s in your hom , and s ttings of your local Eth rn t n twork
in ord r to g t things r ady for your installation. Th y’ll th n us
Hom S t’s w b-bas d programming softwar to download and

To Get Started Installin
●Inserting the Lithium Po ymer Battery
Pr ss th spring lock down to unlock and r mov th batt ry
cov r. A batt ry is includ d in th box. Plac th batt ry into th
batt ry compartm nt, making sur to align th contacts on th
batt ry to th contacts on th R100. Th batt ry snaps into plac
wh n align d prop rly. R plac th cov r.
●Using the Micro USB Charger
Plug th micro USB charg r into a pow r outl t and into th
bottom of th R100 R mot . Th r is no harm in l aving th
R100 plugg d in and charging wh n it is not in us .
●Communication via Wi-Fi
To us th R100 with any companion product that can
communicat in a two-way fashion, it must b configur d to b
part of a Local Ar a N twork (LAN) via a Wi-Fi b/g/n acc ss point
or rout r.

Note: The higher the brightness, the faster the battery dep etes.

scr n buttons of th R100. This can sav R100 pow r. Pr ss th

Pickup
You can s t th R100 to turn on wh n th r mot is pick d up.
Simply s l ct Low, Med, or High (Turn ON) or Off. Aft r Pickup has
