lights).

Install doorbell batteries
1. Use a slot type screwdriver to loosen the
screw at the bottom of the Audio Doorbell.
2. Pull the wall mount cover of the Audio
Doorbell downward, and then detach it
from the doorbell.
3. Insert the supplied batteries into the
battery compartment, and match the
polarity markings (+ and -) inside it.
Add and register a doorbell
Add your new VS013 doorbell to your
telephone base. Each new doorbell must be
registered with the VTech telephone system
before use.
Register a doorbell:
1. Make sure the doorbell is powered on
with batteries before registering it to the
telephone base.
2. Place your telephone base into pairing
mode as per the instructions in your
telephone user guide.
3. Press and hold the pair button on the
back of the doorbell until the LED light
flashes. The Audio Doorbell is now
registering to the telephone base.
Replacing a doorbell
If you have purchased this new VS013
accessory doorbell to replace an old doorbell,
you must deregister the registered doorbell
first, and then register this new doorbell to
your telephone base.
Deregister a doorbell or all doorbells:
• Refer to the User’s manual of your
telephone system to deregister a doorbell or
all doorbells.

Wall Mounting
Install Doorbell Wall Mount Cover
Attach the wall mount cover to the
wall:
1. Use a pencil to mark two holes on the
desired location. Then remove the wall
mount cover and drill two holes in the wall.
Check for reception strength before drilling
the holes.
2. If you drill the holes into a stud, go to
step 3.
-OR-
If you drill the holes into an object other
than a stud, insert the wall anchors into the
holes and tap gently on the ends with a
hammer until the wall anchors are flush
with the wall.
3. Align the holes on the wall mount cover
with the holes on the wall (or stud). Tighten
the screws into the holes to secure the wall
mount cover onto the wall.
Install Doorbell
Attach the doorbell to the wall mount
cover on the wall:
1. Align the doorbell with the slots on the wall
mount cover.
2. Attach the doorbell to the wall mount cover,
and then push the doorbell downward
gently until it is sealed tightly.
3. Tighten the screw into the threaded socket
at the bottom to secure.
General product care
Taking care of your doorbell
Your doorbell contains sophisticated electronic and
optical parts, so it must be treated with care.
Avoid rough treatment
Place the doorbell down gently. Save the original
packing materials to protect your doorbell if you ever
need to ship it.
Electrical storms
Electrical storms can sometimes cause power
surges harmful to electronic equipment. For your
own safety, take caution when using electrical
appliances during storms.
Cleaning your doorbell
Your doorbell has a durable plastic casing that
should retain its luster for many years. Clean it only
with a dry non-abrasive cloth. Do not use
dampened cloth or cleaning solvents of any kind.
Storage
When you are not going to use the doorbell for
some time, remove the battery from the doorbell.
Store the doorbell in a cool and dry place.

unauthorised modification, loss of parts, tampering
or attempted repair by a person not authorised by

Where a valid claim is made under this Voluntary
Product Warranty, VTech will, at no cost to you,
repair or replace the product within a reasonable
time. Subject to your Statutory Rights, if your claim
under this Voluntary Product Warranty is not valid,
you may be charged a fee under this Voluntary
Product Warranty for the service and for any direct
costs associated with having the product delivered
for service.

Wall Mounting
Install Doorbell Wall Mount Cover
Attach the wall mount cover to the
wall:
1. Use a pencil to mark two holes on the

Install Doorbell Wall Mount Cover
Attach the wall mount cover to the
wall:
1. Use a pencil to mark two holes on the
desired location. Then remove the wall
mount cover and drill two holes in the wall.
Check for reception strength before drilling
the holes.
2. If you drill the holes into a stud, go to
step 3.
-OR-
If you drill the holes into an object other
than a stud, insert the wall anchors into the
holes and tap gently on the ends with a
hammer until the wall anchors are flush
with the wall.
3. Align the holes on the wall mount cover
with the holes on the wall (or stud). Tighten
the screws into the holes to secure the wall
mount cover onto the wall.
Install Doorbell
Attach the doorbell to the wall mount
cover on the wall:
1. Align the doorbell with the slots on the wall
mount cover.
2. Attach the doorbell to the wall mount cover,
and then push the doorbell downward
gently until it is sealed tightly.
3. Tighten the screw into the threaded socket
at the bottom to secure.

Where a valid claim is made under this Voluntary
Product Warranty, VTech will, at no cost to you,
repair or replace the product within a reasonable
time. Subject to your Statutory Rights, if your claim
under this Voluntary Product Warranty is not valid,
you may be charged a fee under this Voluntary
Product Warranty for the service and for any direct
costs associated with having the product delivered
for service.
To make a claim under this Voluntary Product
Warranty you must call the TecHelp Information
Line on 1300 369 193 or contact VTech by e-mail
Service Representative will inform you of the product
return process. You will need to ensure that:
You provide proof of purchase;
Your product is suitably packaged (original
packaging is not required); and
You have included all components from the original
purchase.
