VTECH 17450 ADDITIONAL HANDSET
REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
This additional handset has been designed to operate with a VTech
17450 cordless telephone. Please refer to your VTech 17450 for
instructions on general functionality.

The package contains the following items:
• VTech 17450 handset
• VTech 17450 charger
• 3 x AAA rechargeable batteries
SETTING UP YOUR VTECH 17450 ADDITIONAL HANDSET
The position in which you place the VTech 17450 charger could have an
effect on the range and performance of your VTech 17450 handset.
1. Plug the power cable into the charger base.
2. Plug the other end into a mains power wall socket.
Note: Ensure power cord is fed through slot on base so unit sits
ush with the desk.

3. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
4. One by one, insert 3 AAA batteries into the battery compartment,
according to the polarity.
5. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place, until you
hear a click sound.
REGISTERING A VTECH 17450 ADDITIONAL HANDSET
The display of an unregistered VTech 17450 handset shows
REGISTER.The additional handset must be registered to the base
station before use.To register a cordless handset to your VTech 17450
telephone system, follow the process as detailed below.
Register a VTech 17450 additional handset to a VTech 17450 base
station:
1. Press and hold on the base station for about ve seconds, the
base station is entered into registration mode.
2. Press MENU/OK and / to select HS SETTINGS.
3. Press MENU/OK and / to select REGISTER.
4. Press MENU/OK to initiate the registration.

6. Place the handset in the handset charger to charge.
Note: If the handset registration is successful, the handset will
automatically be allocated the next available handset number.This
handset number is shown in the handset display in standby mode.
