INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing VTech® Switch & Go Dinos®Chaser the
Therizinosaurus! With a few steps, Chaser the Therizinosaurus
can switch into a police car and back again! Press the Action Button
to see Chaser move its claws. By interacting with Chaser, your child
can learn fun dinosaur facts as they play!

GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure Chaser is turned OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the
bottom of the panel.
3. Use a screwdriver to open the cover.
4. Install 2 AAA batteries following
the diagram inside the battery box.
(The use of new alkaline batteries
is recommended for maximum
performance).
5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
NOTE:If there is no response when Chaser the Therizinosaurus
is switched on, please insert new batteries and try
switching it on again.

Disposal of batteries and product
Thecrossed-outwheeliebinsymbolsonproductsand
batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates they
must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain
substances that can be damaging to the environment and
human health.
The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked,
indicatethatthebatterycontainsmorethanthespecied
value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) set out
in Battery Directive (2006/66/EC).
The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the
market after 13th August, 2005.

PRODUCT FEATURES
1. OFF / LOW VOLUME / HIGH VOLUME SWITCH
Slide the OFF / LOW VOLUME /
HIGH VOLUME SWITCH to the LOW
VOLUME ( ) or the HIGH VOLUME
( ) position to turn Chaser ON. To
turn Chaser OFF, slide the switch to the
OFF ( ) position.
2. TALK BUTTON
Press the TALK BUTTON to hear fun
phrases and cool dinosaur facts.
3. SOUND EFFECT BUTTON
Press the SOUND EFFECT BUTTON
to hear cool dinosaur and police car
sound effects!
4. ACTION BUTTON (DINO MODE
ONLY)
Press the ACTION BUTTON to see
Chaser’sclawsmoveandmouthlightup.
5. LCD SCREEN
The LCD SCREEN will display dinosaur eyes and driver
animations.
6. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve battery life, Chaser the Therizinosaurus will shut
off automatically after several minutes without input. Chaser the
Therizinosaurus can be turned on again by pressing any button.

2. Close the tail.1. Dino mode.
Note: If Chaser the Therizinosaurus repeatedly shuts off, or has
abnormal responses when switched on, please install brand
new batteries and try switching it on again.
ACTIVITIES
1. Dino Mode
In dino mode, pressing the TALK BUTTON will play fun phrases
and cool dinosaur facts. Pressing the SOUND EFFECT BUTTON or
moving Chaser will trigger dinosaur sound effects. Press the ACTION
BUTTONtoseeChaser’sclawsmoveandmouthlightup.
2. Vehicle Mode
In vehicle mode, Chaser will say fun and encouraging phrases when
the TALK BUTTON is pressed. Pressing the SOUND EFFECT
BUTTON or moving Chaser will trigger police car sound effects.

Note:
To switch Chaser back into a dinosaur, follow the above steps in
reverse order.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat
source.
3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended
period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit
to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working, please follow
these steps:
1. Turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit back ON. The unit will now be ready to play with
again.
5. If the unit still does not work, insert a brand new set of batteries.
