1. Introduction

Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle
could harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal
waste; it should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be
returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental
rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.
Thank you for choosing Vellight! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into
service. If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Safety Instructions
Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.
Indoor use only. Keep this device away from rain, moisture, splashing and dripping liquids.
Never put objects filled with liquids on top of or close to the device.
Do not crimp the garland and protect it against damage.
Do not switch on the garland when it is still in the box.
3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
Note that the LED lamps are not replaceable.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications
to the device is not covered by the warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the
warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and
the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
Keep this manual for future reference.
4. Use
1. Inspect the insulation before each use of the garland. If you notice any damage, do not install the
garland and contact your local dealer.
2. Slide open the battery compartment and insert 2 x AA/LR6 1.5 V batteries (not incl.). Mind the
polarity. Close the battery compartment. Do not switch on the garland yet.
Warning: Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not
attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance
with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.
3. The garland is suitable for indoor use only. Start mounting the garland at the side of the battery
compartment.
Make sure the garland cannot be damaged, for example by sharp edges, swinging windows,
doors, etc. Also make sure the garland cannot cause any hazardous situation if it accidentally comes
loose. For example, avoid crossing passageways. Damage caused by inconsiderate mounting is not
covered by the warranty.
4. Use the on/off switch on the battery compartment to switch the garland on.
5. Always switch the garland off after use.

1. Inleiding

Belangrijke milieu-informatie betreffende dit product
Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt
weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele
batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf
terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal
recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.
Hebt u vragen, contacteer dan de plaatselijke autoriteiten betreffende de
verwijdering.

2. Veiligheidsinstructies
Houd dit toestel uit de buurt van kinderen en onbevoegden.
Gebruik het toestel enkel binnenshuis. Bescherm het toestel tegen regen, vochtigheid en
opspattende vloeistoffen. Plaats geen objecten gevuld met vloeistof op of naast het toestel.
Zorg ervoor dat de slinger niet gekneld of geplooid is en bescherm hem tegen beschadigingen.
Schakel de slinger niet in als hij nog in de doos zit.
3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.
Bescherm het toestel tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de bediening.
Opgelet: de ledlichtjes zijn niet vervangbaar.
Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat gebruiken.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen aan het toestel. Schade door wijzigingen
die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel, valt niet onder de garantie.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt automatisch bij ongeoorloofd
gebruik.

De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze handleiding en
uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks
verband mee houden.
Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.
4. Gebruik
1. Controleer voor elk gebruik of de isolatie van de slinger intact is. Als de slinger beschadigd is,
installeer hem dan niet en contacteer uw dealer.
2. Schuif het batterijvak open en plaats 2 x AA/LR6 1,5 V batterijen (niet meegeleverd). Let op de
polariteit! Sluit het batterijvak. Schakel de slinger nog niet in.
Waarschuwing: U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het vuur gooien (explosiegevaar).
Herlaad geen alkalinebatterijen. Gooi batterijen weg volgens de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.
Houd batterijen uit het bereik van kinderen.
3. De slinger is enkel geschikt voor gebruik binnenshuis. Begin met bevestigen aan de kant van het
batterijvak.
Zorg dat de slinger niet beschadigd wordt door scherpe randen, dichtslaande vensters, deuren, enz.
Zorg dat de slinger geen gevaar kan opleveren als hij per ongeluk loskomt. Bijvoorbeeld, hang de
slinger niet boven deuren of doorgangen. Schade veroorzaakt door een onachtzame installatie, valt
niet onder de garantie.
4. Gebruik de aan-uitschakelaar op het batterijvak om de slinger in te schakelen.
5. Schakel de slinger altijd uit na gebruik.

local. Il convient de respecter la réglementation locale relative à la protection de

l’appareil. Si l’appareil a été endommagé pendant le transport, ne pas l’installer et consulter votre
revendeur.
2. Consignes de sécurité
Garder l'appareil hors de la portée des enfants et des personnes non autorisées.
Utiliser cet appareil uniquement à l'intérieur. Protéger de la pluie, de l’humidité et des
projections d’eau. Ne jamais placer d’objet contenant un liquide sur l’appareil.
Ne pas replisser la guirlande et la protéger contre tout endommagement.
Ne pas brancher la guirlande tant qu'elle se trouve dans la boîte.
3. Directives générales
Se référer à la garantie de service et de qualité Velleman® en fin de notice.
Protéger l’appareil des chocs. Traiter l'appareil avec circonspection pendant l’opération.
Les lampes LED ne sont pas remplaçables.
Se familiariser avec le fonctionnement de l'appareil avant de l'utiliser.
Toute modification est interdite pour des raisons de sécurité. Les dommages occasionnés par des
modifications par le client ne tombent pas sous la garantie.
N’utiliser l'appareil qu’à sa fonction prévue. Un usage impropre annule d'office la garantie.
La garantie ne s’applique pas aux dommages survenus en négligeant certaines directives de cette
notice et votre revendeur déclinera toute responsabilité pour les problèmes et les défauts qui en
résultent.
Garder ce mode d'emploi pour toute référence ultérieure.
4. Utilisation
1. Vérifier l'isolation de la guirlande avant chaque utilisation. Si vous constatez un endommagement,
n'utilisez pas la guirlande et contactez votre revendeur.
2. Ouvrir le compartiment à piles et insérer 2 piles AA/LR6 1,5 V (non fournies). Tenir compte de la
polarité. Fermer le compartiment à piles. Ne brancher pas encore la guirlande.
Avertissement : Ne jamais perforer les piles et ne pas les jeter au feu (danger d’explosion).
Ne jamais recharger des piles alcalines. Se débarrasser des piles en respectant la
réglementation locale relative à la protection de l’environnement. Garder les piles hors de la
portée des enfants.
3. La guirlande convient pour uniquement pour une utilisation à l'intérieur. Commencer le montage de
la guirlande du côté du compartiment à piles.
S'assurer que la guirlande ne peut être endommagée par un objet ou un bord tranchant, une
fenêtre ou une porte mal fermée, etc. Veiller à ce que la guirlande ne puisse causer aucune situation
dangereuse si elle se détachait accidentellement. Par exemple, éviter de l'installer à un endroit où il
y a beaucoup de passage. Tout dommage occasionné par un montage incorrect ne tombe pas sous
la garantie.
4. Utiliser le bouton marche/arrêt sur le compartiment à piles pour allumer la guirlande.
5. Toujours débrancher la guirlande après utilisation.
