For your convenience, your system includes a Wrist Strap, Belt Clip, and Lanyard accessory. When using these
accessories, please be sure to wear your Personal Wearable Device facing outwards, in order to opmize call quality.

System Description and Controls
Your Personal Emergency Response System gives you a simple way to stay connected
to SureResponse Care Agent. The Docking Staon Charger connects your Personal
Wearable Device to help through your home telephone line. The Personal Wearable
Device connects to your Docking Staon Charger through a remote connecon.

5Reset Buon: If the Personal Wearable
Device is not operang correctly, you can
reset it by pressing the RESET buon with

6Volume Key: Use to adjust the Personal
Wearable Device's ringer, call volume or
call alert. (ring, vibrate, silent)
7Charge Contact Points: The Personal Wearable
Device connects here on the Docking Staon
Charger or Travel Charger to charge.

1Power Light: A steady green light indicates the Docking Staon Charger is
connected to an electrical outlet and operang properly. A steady amber
light indicates the Docking Staon Charger is operang via back-up baery.
2Phone Line Light: A steady green light indicates when a telephone line is
properly connected.
NOTE: Currently not supported. Please visit sureresponse.verizonwireless.com for availability.
3Acvity Light: A blinking green light
indicates there is a call or the Docking
Staon Charger is pairing with the
Personal Wearable Device.
4Charging Light: A steady green
light indicates that the Personal
Wearable Device is fully charged.
5Charging Pins: The charging pins connect to
the contact charge points on the Personal Wearable
Device to aach to the Docking Staon Charger when docked for charging.
6Center Light: This light illuminates to show the docking locaon of the
Personal Wearable Device.
NOTE: To turn the Docking Staon Charger off, separate wall charger cable from the Docking Staon Charger and
press the RESET buon for about 2 seconds with the p of a pen or paper clip.

7Page Buon: Pressing the PAGE buon causes the Personal Wearable Device
to ring for easy locang. (see page 17)
8Pair Buon:
Pressing the PAIR buon iniates the Personal Wearable Device
pairing with the Docking Staon Charger. (see page 16) The Docking Staon Charger
comes paired with the Personal Wearable Device. If you repurchased the Docking
Staon Charger or Personal Wearable Device, the pairing process will be needed.

To adjust the Personal Wearable Device's ringer, call volume or call
alert (ring, vibrate, silent), press Volume Key on the leside of the
Personal Wearable Device to the desired seng. (see page 6)

Turning Your Personal Wearable Device On
Press Call Buon.
NOTE: Even if you press the Call Buon again, the Personal Wearable Device will not turn off. Make sure that your
Personal Wearable Device is always sufficiently charged and ready for use in the case of an emergency.
Standby Mode (Airplane Mode)
1Press and hold Volume Key. (for about 5 seconds)
• You can also request Standby Mode by calling SureResponse Care Center.
2"going into standby..." will be seen on the display followed by "set to
standby" and will then disappear to show the me. Your device is now set to
Standby Mode.
• When you set Standby Mode, "OFF" is displayed in the Status bar.
• Press and hold Volume Key again to turn Standby Mode off. Your signal
strength indicator will reappear when Standby Mode is turned off.

Set Up Your Personal Wearable Device
Your system will not funcon unless it has been set up properly. You must first set up
your Docking Staon Charger, charge your Personal Wearable Device’s baery, and
correctly acvate your Personal Wearable Device. Follow the procedures below to
ensure the correct operaon of your system.
Set-Up Your Docking Staon Charger
1Insert the small end connector of the wall charger cable into the plug labeled
"DC IN 5V" found on the rear of the Docking Staon Charger and plug the
other end into a standard outlet.
2Insert the telephone cable into the port labeled "TEL. LINE" found on the
rear of the Docking Staon Charger and insert the other end into a
telephone wall jack (if you have telephone service).

If you have only 1 telephone wall jack, insert the telephone cable into the
port labeled "TEL. LINE" found on the rear of the Docking Staon Charger,
and insert the other end into a telephone wall jack (if you have telephone
service). Then, keeping your exisng telephone cable connected to your
home phones' base unit, connect the other end into the second port labeled
"TEL. LINE".
NOTE: • The Docking Staon Charger performs a self-diagnosis. The Power light (see page 7) will indicate that the
power is on.
• Under normal usage, the Docking Staon Charger relies on the external power adapter for its power supply.
Insert the wall charger cable into the wall charger cable connector, and plug the unit into a standard outlet.
• Back up baery power will only be used during power failure or if the external power adapter is not in use.
The Docking Staon Charger will not charge the back-up baery when the Personal Wearable Device is
docked.
• The Personal Wearable Device and telephone cable are for indoor use only.

Docking Your Personal Wearable Device
1The Belt Clip and holder come aached to the Personal Wearable Device.
Remove the belt clip from the holder by pressing down on the buon and
sliding downward unl removed.
2Ensuring that the Belt Clip holder is sll aached, insert the Personal
Wearable Device into the Docking Staon Charger for charging by
aligning the Personal Wearable Device’s charge contact points with the
Docking Staon Charger connectors. Push down firmly unl you hear the
“click.” The Call Buon will light up and a message will appear on the
Personal Wearable Device.

NOTE: In order to charge the Personal Wearable Device, one of the accessories will need to be aached.

Acvate Your Personal Wearable Device
1Before acvang your Personal Wearable Device, ensure that it is adequately
charged by docking. The Call Buon will light up and a message will appear
on the Personal Wearable Device. The LED on the Docking Staon Charger
will light to indicate the charge status for the Personal Wearable Device,
which displays a message: “dock to charge” and then change to “charging”.
2When the Personal Wearable Device reaches an adequate charge level, it
displays the message: “press call buon” When you press the Call Buon
you will hear a voice prompt and the Personal Wearable Device will begin
the acvaon process. (this process may take several minutes) Once the
acvaon is complete, the Personal Wearable Device then connects to the
SureResponse Care Center.

Provide the personal informaon requested by the SureResponse Care Agent.
This informaon is crical to beer assist you in case of an emergency.
4Register on SureResponse Online at sureresponse.verizonwireless.com. Once
registered, you can add your personal informaon, add caregivers and other
required informaon.
NOTE: • Charging could take a few hours based on the current charge level.
• If the Personal Wearable Device is not acvated during the third aempt:
A voice recording will inform you that the Personal Wearable Device failed to acvate and you should either
retry using an alternate cellular or landline phone in an outside locaon or call Verizon Wireless Customer
Support at 800-922-0204.
• The Docking Staon Charger comes paired with the Personal Wearable Device at the me of purchase. If you
need to pair your device, see page 16 for instrucons.

Making an Emergency Call
To Make an Emergency Call With Your Acvated Personal Wearable Device
1Press Call Buon to connect to the SureResponse Care Center.
2The SureResponse Care Center agent will contact either emergency
management services or responders you have designated as
points-of-contact for emergencies.
3You can not end the emergency call, only the SureResponse Care Center can.
NOTE: You can make an emergency call when roaming. It may incur addional roaming charges.

Common Procedures
Pairing Your Personal Wearable Device
1The Docking Staon Charger comes paired with the Personal Wearable
Device at the me of purchase. If you repurchased the Docking Staon
Charger or Personal Wearable Device, pairing process will be needed.
Personal Wearable Device needs to be inserted in an accessory before being
inserted in the Docking Staon Charger.
2A voice prompt will be played aer pressing the PAIR buon located on the
leof the Docking Staon Charger. (see page 8)
3The Acvity light will flash, indicang the Docking Staon Charger is ready to
pair.
4Dock the Personal Wearable Device while the Acvity light is flashing (within
30 seconds).
5The device will confirm pairing is complete with a message on the display
that reads “paired with dock”.

Paging Your Paired Personal Wearable Device
1Pressing the PAGE buon on the Docking Staon Charger causes the
Personal Wearable Device to ring for easy locang.
2When paged, your Personal Wearable Device will emit a ringing alert sound.
3Press the Volume Key to turn offthe Personal Wearable Device’s alert sound
or the alert sound will stop automacally in approximately 60 seconds.
NOTE: Do not press the Call Buon to cease the paging alert as this will iniate a call to the SureResponse Care
Center.
Resetting Your System
If the Personal Wearable Device fails to operate properly, you can reset it.
To Reset Your Personal Wearable Device
• To reset the Personal Wearable Device, turn it offand on by pressing the reset
buon (see page 6) with the p of a pen or paper clip.
To Reset Your Docking Staon Charger
• To reset the Docking Staon Charger, turn it offand on by pressing the RESET
buon (see page 8) with the p of a pen or paper clip.

How to Use Accessories
Using the Wrist Strap accessory
1Slip the accessory aachment band into the backside of the Personal
Wearable Device holder and then press down firmly to aach the band to
the velcro wrist strap.
2Align the Personal Wearable Device's
three alignment grooves (located at
the boom) with the boom curved clip
of the Wrist Strap holder and push down
firmly unl you hear it click. Slide the
locking switch to the right to lock the
Personal Wearable Device into place.
3You are now ready to wear the Wrist Strap
accessory. Overlap and adjust the Wrist Strap for a comfortable fit.
4To remove the Personal Wearable Device, slide the locking switch to the le
to unlock and release it from the Wrist Strap holder.
NOTE: • If the Personal Wearable Device is not properly locked into place, it may slide out and drop.
• If you wear the Wrist Strap accessory for extended periods of me, you may experience some occasional
discomfort in your wrist.
• While wearing the Wrist Strap accessory, avoid bumping your Personal Wearable Device into other objects.
• While wearing the Wrist Strap accessory, you may experience some skin irritaon. Please consult your
physician if condion persists or worsens.
• Avoid pressing other buons on the Personal Wearable Device when removing it from the Personal
Wearable Device holder.
