VCR, or fabricate a RG-179 coaxial cable

Press Spot Monitor to toggle the monitor selection
between the spot and main display monitors.
There are three monitors for the AurorA2000 system, the spot monitor and two main display monitors. The spot monitor is used as a monitoring station
and does not have the capability of multi-picture display. Use the main display monitors to take advantage of all AurorA2000 features.
The video will sequence or
remain fixed, depending upon
your programming choices.
Note: Multi-picture display
formats are not available
on the spot monitor.

Acknowledging Alarms
When an alarm is active, the LED of
the camera number key will flash and
the buzzer will sound if it is enabled.
Press to switch to a full
screen display of the first
camera with an alarm.
Duplex units continuously
record. No action is necessary
at the AurorA2000. Press the
RECORD button on the VCR.
Press the RECORD

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the basic function of the AurorA2000 multiplexer?
The AurorA2000 can display up to 16 cameras on the main display monitors in up to 16 small windows. It can also switch very
quickly between these cameras so that a VCR can record full screen images of the video, one after another.
How do I access the AurorA2000 help system?
Simply press to access information on the currently active keys and the available menu choices. Press again to exit
the help system.
Why are there two main display connectors?
There are two main display connectors so that you can use a VGA monitor for best picture quality or you may use a standard
CCTV composite monitor. Optimize your display using the setting in the Easy Setup Menus.
What is the purpose of the spot monitor?
The spot monitor is used to display one camera at a time in full screen format. You may display the time, date and titles on the
spot monitor.
What is mechanical pan/tilt/zoom (mptz)?
Mechanical pan/tilt/zoom allows you to control receivers from your AurorA2000 front panel after selecting the receiver’s camera
on the main display or spot monitors.
Do I need to terminate video inputs?
No. The AurorA2000 terminates each video input with 75 ohms.
What is the purpose of the looping connectors?
The two looping connectors are used to loop out the video from cameras 1-8 on one connector and cameras 9-16 on the other
connector. You must terminate with 75 ohms at the devices that you are looping out to, but not at the AurorA2000 connectors.
What can I do with a PC keyboard connected to the AurorA2000?
This lets you use a wireless or standard PC AT keyboard to easily type camera and macro titles. You can also perform any
function from the PC keyboard that you can from the AurorA2000. Use the following tables.
