austauschen
Sicherheitshinweise
Bitte befolgen Sie diese Sicherheitshinweise genau, um Gefahren und
Schäden für Menschen und Sachwerte auszuschließen.
Erläuterung der Sicherheitshinweise
Hinweis
Angaben mit dem Wort Hinweis enthal-
ten Zusatzinformationen.
Montage, Erstinbetriebnahme, Inspek-
tion, Wartung und Instandsetzung müs-
sen von autorisierten Fachkräften (Hei-
zungsfachbetrieb/Vertragsinstallations-
unternehmen) durchgeführt werden.
Bei Arbeiten an Gerät/Heizungsanlage
diese spannungsfrei schalten (z. B. an
der separaten Sicherung oder einem
Hauptschalter) und gegen Wiederein-
schalten sichern.
Bei Brennstoff Gas den Gasabsperr-
hahn schließen und gegen ungewolltes
Öffnen sichern.
Die Instandsetzung von Bauteilen mit
sicherheitstechnischer Funktion gefähr-
det den sicheren Betrieb der Anlage.
Bei Austausch ausschließlich
Viessmann Originalteile oder von
Viessmann freigegebene Ersatzteile
verwenden.
Softwaretool „Service-Assistent“ anwenden
Austausch des Elektronikmoduls BCU
und anschließende Inbetriebnahme
unter Anwendung des Service-Assis-
tenten durchführen.

Vorderbleche abbauen
1. ■ Vitodens:
Netzschalter ausschalten und
gegen Wiedereinschalten
sichern.
■ Vitovalor PT2:
Nur Netzschalter des Gas-Brenn-
wertmoduls ausschalten und
gegen Wiedereinschalten
sichern. Netzschalter des Brenn-
stoffzellenmoduls nicht ausschal-
ten.

Hinweis
Je nach Typ des Wärmeerzeugers
befindet sich das Elektronikmodul auf
der rechten oder linken Seite des
Geräts.

1. Elektronikmodul HMU ausrasten
und nach vorn schwenken.
2. Verriegelung drücken und Elektro-
nikmodul mit Leitungen abnehmen.
3. Verriegelungen rechts und links an
der Abdeckung betätigen. Abde-
ckung abnehmen.
4. Alle Leitungen vom defekten Elekt-
ronikmodul abziehen.
5. Alle Leitungen am neuen Elektro-
nikmodul aufstecken.
6. Abdeckung aufstecken.
7. Elektronikmodul an der Halterung
aufstecken.
8. Elektronikmodul HMU hochklappen
und Vorderbleche anbauen.
9. Wärmeerzeuger mit nach den wei-
teren Anweisungen des Service-
Assistenten in Betrieb nehmen und
Funktion prüfen.

Replacing the BCU (burner control unit)
electronics module
Safety instructions
Please follow these safety instructions closely to prevent accidents
and material losses.
Safety instructions explained
Note
Details identified by the word "Note"
contain additional information.
Installation, commissioning, inspection,
maintenance and repairs must only be
carried out by an authorised, competent
person (heating engineer/installation
contractor).
Before working on the appliance/heat-
ing system, isolate it from the power
supply (e.g. by removing a separate
mains fuse or by means of a mains iso-
lator) and safeguard against unauthor-
ised reconnection.
When using gas as fuel, also close the
main gas shut-off valve and safeguard
against unauthorised reopening.
Repairing components that fulfil a
safety function can compromise the
safe operation of the system.
For replacements, use only original
spare parts supplied or approved by
Viessmann.
Using the "Service Assistant" software tool
Replace the BCU electronics module
and then commission it using the Serv-
ice Assistant.
1. Start the "Service Assistant" soft-
ware tool.

2. Open the "Spare part replacement"
area and follow the instructions.
Removing the front panels
1. ■ Vitodens:
Turn off the ON/OFF switch and
safeguard against reconnection.
■ Vitovalor PT2:
Only turn off the ON/OFF switch
of the gas condensing module
and safeguard against reconnec-
tion. Do not turn off the ON/OFF
switch of the fuel cell module.

Note
Depending on the type of heat genera-
tor, the electronics module is located on
the right or left side of the appliance.

1. Unclip the HMU electronics module
and pivot it forwards.

2. Press the interlock and remove the
electronics module together with
the cables.
3. Operate the left and right locks on
the cover. Remove the cover.
4. Remove all cables from the faulty
electronics module.
5. Connect all cables to the new elec-
tronics module.
6. Attach the cover.
7. Attach the electronics module to
the retainer.
8. Pivot up the HMU electronics mod-
ule and attach the front panels.
9. Start up the heat generator accord-
ing to the further instructions in the
Service Assistant and check it is
working.
