Advice to owner
Once work is complete, the heating contractor must
familiarize the system operator/ultimate owner with all

service at least once per year.

Codes
The installation of this unit shall e in accordance with local
codes. In the
a sence of local codes, use:
CSA C22.1 Part 1 and/or local codes in Canada
National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70 in the U.S.
Always use latest editions of codes.
Please carefully read this manual prior to attempting
installation. Any warranty is null and void if these
instructions are not followed.

Working on the equipment
The installation, adjustment, service, and maintenance of
this product must e done y a licensed professional
heating contractor who is qualified and experienced in the
installation, service, and maintenance of hot water oilers.
There are no user servicea le parts on the oiler, urner, or
control.
Ensure main power supply to
equipment, the heating system, and all
external controls has een deactivated.Close main oil or
gas supply valve. Take precautions in oth instances to
avoid accidental activation of power during service work.
The completeness and functionality of field supplied
electrical controls and components must be verified by the
heating contractor. These include low water cut-offs, flow
switches (if used), staging controls, pumps, motorized
valves, air vents, thermostats, etc.

Important regulatory and installation requirements
ower supply
Install power supply in accordance with the regulations of
the authorities having jurisdiction or, in the a sence of such
requirements, in accordance with National Codes.
Viessmann recommends the installation of a disconnect
switch to the 120 VAC power supply outside of the oiler
room. The installer must provide maximum 15 A
overcurrent protection for the 120 VAC power supply (fuse
or circuit reaker).
Working with an open control
No static discharge to the internal componentry must ever
occur when working with opened control equipment.

Specification
Setting range: 0 to 80ºC / 32 to 176ºF
Switching differential
Immersion thermostat: max. 11ºC / 22ºF
Contact thermostat: max. 14ºC / 27ºF
Electro-mechanical limit aquastat, according to the liquid
expansion principle, switches the heating circuit pump
OFF, when the set value has een exceeded.
In such cases the supply temperature reduces only
slowly, e.g. it may e several hours efore the system
restarts again automatically.

For underfloor heating system, install an aquastat to limit the maximum temperature downstream of the mixing valve and

Update the user list at that control unit, which is
programmed as fault manager, and implemented a
participant check.

Connecting control unit to Viessmann 2-wire BUS system
The Viessmann 2-wire BUS communication module (accessory) must e plugged in (see parts list).
ACommunication module
BRotary dial
1. Set the rotary dial on the communication module in
accordance with the system version etween 4 and C
(the rotary dial must not e set the same as the rotary
dial of another control unit).
Please note!
For wall-mounted boilers, if an actuator kit (Part No.
7133 392) for one mixing valve controller is used, the
default rotary dial position is #4. When connecting extra
itotronic 200-H, set the rotary dial such that 4 is not
duplicated.
2. In conjunction with a oiler control unit for wall mounted
oilers or Dekamatik system:
Adjust the differential temperature at the a ove control
unit.
On Vitotronic 200-H, set coding 9F: 0.
Set coding 97: 1, if the outside temperature is to e
taken from an outside temperature sensor which is
already connected.
