INTENDED USE.
This Freestanding Outdoor Patio Heater is intended
for outdoor, domestic use. Do not for heavy duty
commercial or industrial use. The unit is not safe for
use on building sites, or in greenhouses, barns or
stables where there is flammable dust.
This Patio Heater should only be used by children
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning its use in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved.
Do not use this Patio Heater to dry clothes, towels,
etc.
Do not use this Patio Heater as a sauna heater.
POSITIONING YOUR PATIO HEATER.
Set up the Patio Heater outside, or in a large open
area, well away from any obstructions such as tree
branches. Do not use the Patio Heater near any
objects that can be affected by heat such as furniture,
curtains or other flammable objects (minimum
distance 1 metre).
Only use the Patio Heater on a firm, flat area.
NOTE: This Patio Heater is fitted with an “auto cut-
off” safety feature which will switch the Heater off if
tilted.
The appliance must not be located immediately below
or in front of a socket outlet.
Do not use where gas, petrol, paint, or flammable or
corrosive goods are stored.
Do not use this Patio Heater in the immediate
surroundings of a bath, shower, sauna or swimming
pool.
Do not use in unventilated areas.
CABLES AND PLUGS.
The Patio Heater must be securely earthed during
operation.
Do not wrap the power supply cord around the Power
Heater.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by a qualified electrician in order to avoid
danger.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION FOR USE.
Keep away from children and pets.
Avoid sitting directly underneath the Patio Heater.
The indication of the different positions of switches
should be visible from a distance of 1m.
Do not use this appliance with any type of external
timer.

OVERTURN PROTECTION
This Patio Heater is fitted with an anti-tip over switch
safety feature.
If the Heater is accidentally overturned during use, the
Heater will automatically shut off.
NOTE: Two dark points may appear on the surface of
the heating elements during the first few minutes after
the Patio Heater is turned on. This is normal and will
not affect the performance of the unit.
WARNING! Do not push any items through, obstruct,
or cover the grill of the Heater Head.
WARNING! In order to avoid overheating, do not
cover the Patio Heater.
Do not immerse this unit in water.
Although the Patio Heater is splash- and rainproof,
avoid getting the unit wet.
WARNING! Do not touch the Heater Head when in use
or still hot. Be aware that the Heater Head will remain
hot for some time after use.
The Heater Head reaches high temperatures during
operation. Unplug the unit and wait until it cools before
cleaning.
Do not move the Patio Heater when connected to the
electrical supply. Always wait for the Patio Heater to
cool down before cleaning or storing.
Store in a cool, dry area when not in use or in damp
weather conditions.
Only replace with the correct bulbs mentioned in this
manual.
If you have any doubts about the safety or installation
of this Patio Heater, please consult a qualified
electrician for guidance.

ASSEMBLY

1. Secure the Base Plate (O) to the Base Weight (P)
using a screwdriver (not supplied) and the 3 Base
Screws (A).
3. Place the Base Cap (H) over the Lower Pole (N)
to enclose the Base Screws (A) and keep them
weatherproof.
Using 4 M5X8 Screws (B), attach the Central Pole (M)
to the Lower Pole (N) by aligning the 4 holes. Ensure
the Screws are tightened for stability.
Slide the Cable Clip (E) over the Central Pole (M) and
position at the required height before tightening the
small screw to secure in place.

2. Once securely tightened, turn over the assembled Base
Plate/Base Weight (O,P) and attach the Lower Pole (N)
using the Torque Screw (C) and Base Washer (F). Turn
clockwise to secure.
IMPORTANT: Ensure the Lower Pole (N) is adjusted so that
the larger holes align with the heads of the Base Screws (A).
4. Insert the Extending Pole (K) into the Top Pole (L),
making sure that the end appears through the threaded
ring. Screw on the Extending Lock (G).
NOTE: Do not overtighten as this may damage the thread.
Attach the assembled components (K,L,G) to the Central
Pole (M) using the 4 remaining M5X8 Screws (B).

ASSEMBLY
5. Position the Heater Head (I) onto the end of the
Extending Pole (K) and lock into place with the Heater
Head Locking Bolt (D). Turn clockwise to secure.

lowest heat setting,
pull the cord once.
1350W - Pull the
cord a second time
for the medium heat
setting.
2000W - For the
maximum heat
setting, pull the cord
3 times.
To switch the Patio Heater off, simply pull the
cord until the indicator reaches ’0’.
NOTE: Once the Patio Heater has been plugged in and
a heat setting has been selected, it may take some time
for the bulbs to illuminate and heat. This is completely
normal and is not a fault with the product.
WARNING! Do not touch any part of the Heater Head
once powered on. Surfaces will become extremely hot.
6. Before plugging in the Patio Heater, adjust the
angle of the Heater Head (I) by unscrewing the nut on
the side (circled). Slightly pull the Heater Head forward
or push it back to the angle preferred. Tighten to
secure in the desired position.

BULB SPECIFICATION
CAUTION: Ensure the plug is disconnected from
the mains before changing the bulbs.
1. To gain access to the bulbs, remove the 4 screws
(circled) and detach the grill from the front of the
Heater Head (I).

2. Remove the metal plate surrounding the end of
the bulbs as shown. The use of a flathead screwdriver
may be needed to open up the small metal tab on the
top. Repeat for the other end.
3. Slide the rubber caps off the bulb connectors and
press the small tab (circled) to disconnect from the
bulbs. Repeat for the other end.
IMPORTANT: Ensure all connectors are correctly
removed before attempting to remove a bulb.
Twisting or bending may result in a bulb shattering
and cause injury to the user.
4. Carefully remove the bulbs and replace with the
correct quartz bulbs.
WARNING! Do not touch the bulbs with your bare
hands. Handle using the plastic connectors either end
or wear protective gloves.

CAUTION: Before carrying out cleaning or maintenance,
disconnect the unit from the mains and allow to cool completely.
WARNING! Never immerse the Patio Heater in water or any other liquid to clean.
• Once removed from the mains, wipe the unit with a slightly damp cloth.
CAUTION: Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents as this may damage the surfaces of the unit.
• Any maintenance or repairs, including replacing the quartz tube, should only be carried out by a qualified
electrician or recommended service centre.
