Intended Use
The VWR Mini Bead Mill is intended for milling and homogenising of a
number of substances. Not intended for medical or diagnostics purposes.
Made in USA
Warranty
VWR warrants that this product will be free from defects in material and
workmanship for a period of one year from date of delivery. If a defect is present,
VWR will, at its option and cost, repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of this
product to the customer, provided it is returned during the warranty period. This
warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse,
or misapplication, or from ordinary wear and tear. If the required maintenance
and inspection services are not performed according to the manuals and any local
regulations, such warranty turns invalid, except to the extent, the defect of the
product is not due to such non-performance.
Items being returned must be insured by the customer against possible damage or
loss. This warranty shall be limited to the aforementioned remedies. IT IS EXPRESSLY
AGREED THAT THIS WARRANTY WILL BE IN LIEU OF ALL WARRANTIES OF FITNESS
AND IN LIEU OF THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY.

The customer is responsible for applying for and obtaining the necessary regulatory
approvals or other authorizations necessary to run or use the Product in its local
environment. VWR will not be held liable for any related omission or for not
obtaining the required approval or authorization, unless any refusal is due to a
defect of the product.

Equipment Disposal
This equipment is marked with the crossed out wheeled
bin symbol to indicate that this equipment must not
be disposed of with unsorted waste. Instead it is your
responsibility to correctly dispose of your equipment
at life cycle - end by handing it over to an authorized
facility for separate collection and recycling. It is also
your responsibility to decontaminate the equipment
in case of biological, chemical and/or radiological
contamination, so as to protect from health hazards
the persons involved in the disposal and recycling of

Unpacking
Lift foam from box.
Lift unit up and off of the box bottom.
DO NOT LIFT THE UNIT BY HOLDING THE LID.
Remove Tool Kit and Power Cord
Place the unit on a stable surface.
Remove the 2 screws from the bottom of the unit.
Connect power cord

General Operation
1. Power
- Plug in the power cord and move the On/Off switch on back of the unit to the On position.
2. Set Speed
- Adjust speed using up and down buttons.
3. Set Timer
- Adjust run time using up and down buttons from 1 sec. to 5 min.
4. Start
- Press Run button.
5. Pause/Stop
- Press Stop Button to Pause.
- Press Stop again to reset timer and cancel run

Use the supplied 3 mm
Allen wrench to loosen tube
carriage holder screw
Caution: Turn unit off and
unplug power cord.
Use the supplied 3 mm Allen
wrench to tighten tube
carriage holder screw

Slide the new neck gasket
onto the pivot shaft and
housing

Secure the new neck gasket
using the restriction tie with
the clamp positioned toward
the bottom of the instrument.
Tighten central screw.

Use the supplied 3 mm Allen
wrench to loosen the central
screw and remove restriction
tie and old neck gasket.
Use the supplied 3 mm Allen
wrench to tighten the central
screw and secure the tube
carriage.

Caution: Turn unit off and
unplug the power cord.

Turn off the unit. Wait 30 seconds.
Turn the unit back on.

Check main voltage.
Check that the voltage of the unit
(100V-240V) matches what is being delivered
by the main power supply.
Make sure the unit is plugged in properly.
Check and replace fuses if blown.
Faulty display

Turn off the unit.
Contact manufacturer for assistance.
Error 3
Unit powers on but
motor does not
turn

Transporting the Mini Bead Mill
The Mini Bead Mill must be shipped in its original packaging.
Before transporting please follow these steps.
Remove all tubes, and cover the unit in its plastic bag.
The tube carriage will slide back. Lift the tube
carriage to align the motor mount holes to the
holes in the base plate.
Insert screws with Allen key until you feel them
engage (It may take some adjusting to get them
aligned with the threads in the unit).
Tighten screws until completely seated.
