1. Veiligheid
Lees eerst de volgende veiligheidsinformatie door om mogelijke
elektrische schokken of brand te vermijden. Om potentiële gevaren
te voorkomen, mag u het instrument alleen op de gespeciceerde
wijze gebruiken.
Symbolen op de EazyPhase:
Gevaar voor electrische schok.
Waarschuwing voor gevaar, raadpleeg de handleiding.
Gevaarlijke spanning.
Beschermd door dubbele of versterkte isolatie.
Batterij.
Aarde.
AC of DC.
Geeft de conformiteit met de Europese richtlijnen aan.
Overspanningscategorie III, vervuilingsgraad 2 per IEC
1010-1. Verwijst naar het beschermingsniveau tegen
CAT III piekspanningen. Overspannigscategorie III zijn onder-
delen van vaste installaties zoals elektriciteitsmeters en
primaire overstroom beveiligingen.
Voer dit product alleen af volgens de lokale regelingen.
Niet gebruiken met open behuizing
Zet om verwonding te voorkomen, het instrument nooit onder
spanning als de behuizing van het instrument niet goed dicht-
geschroefd is.
Elektrische schokken voorkomen
Om ongevallen te voorkomen, mag u geen meetsnoeren aansluiten
of loshalen terwijl ze zijn aangesloten op een spanningsbron.

Gebruik het instrument alleen zoals omschreven in deze
handleiding. Houd u aan de lokale en nationale veiligheids-

Individuele bescherming maatregelen moeten worden
gebruikt om schokken en verwondingen te voorkomen.
Gebruik van het instrument op een manier die niet door de
fabrikant wordt voorgeschreven kan de veiligheid in gevaar
brengen van het instrument en de gebruikers.
Vermijd alleen werken.
Beschadigde snoeren dienen vervangen te worden.
Gebruik de EazyPhase niet als deze beschadigd is.
Let op bij het werken van spanningen boven de 50 VAC en
120 VDC.
Bij gebruik van de snoeren, houdt de vingers uit de buurt
van contacten. Houd uw vingers achter de vinger-
bescherming op de snoeren.
Metingen kunnen nadelig worden beïnvloed door
impedanties van andere circuits welke parallel aan het te
meten circuit liggen. Controleer de werking voordat er
gevaarlijk spanningen worden gemeten.
Gebruik het instrument niet in de buurt van explosieve
gassen of dampen.
Reduceer het gevaar op elektrische schokken of brand door
het instrument niet bloot te stellen aan regen of vochtig-
heid.
Gebruik het instrument alleen zoals omschreven in deze
handleiding. Houd u aan de lokale en nationale veiligheids-
voorschriften.

2. Introductie
De EazyPhase is een draagbaar, batterijgevoed instrument speciaal
ontworpen voor het bepalen van het draaiveld van 3-fase systemen
en het bepalen van motorrotatie richting.

3 Werking
3.1 Bepalen draaiveld
1. Verbind de meetsnoeren met de EazyPhase, controleer dat de
juiste snoeren op de juiste aansluitbussen zijn aangesloten
2. Verbind de krokodillenbekken met de andere zijde van de
meetsnoeren
3. Verbind de meetsnoeren met het 3-fase systeem. Druk op de
aan toets. De groene LED zal oplichten als de EazyPhase
gereed is voor testen
4. De draaiveld indicator zal oplichten, zelfs als de Nul (N) is
aangesloten

3.2 Contactloze rotatieveld detectie
1. Verwijder alle snoeren van de EazyPhase
2. Plaats de EazyPhase parallel aan de lengte van de motoras.
De meter moet op maximaal 1 cm van de motor worden
geplaatst, zie guur 2
3. Druk op de aantoets. De groene LED geeft aan dat de tester
klaar is voor gebruik
4. De rechtsdraaiende of links draaiende LED zal oplichten

Let op!
De EazyPhase werkt niet indien de motor via een frequentie sturing
wordt aangestuurd. De onderzijde van de EazyPhase moet richting
de as van de motor worden geplaatst. (zoals aangegeven op het
oriëntatie symbool op de tester).

3.3 Bepalen motor aansluitingen
1. Verbind de meetsnoeren met de EazyPhase, controleer dat de
juiste snoeren op de juiste aansluitbussen zijn aangesloten
2. Verbind de krokodillenbekken met de andere zijde van de
meetsnoeren
3. Verbind de krokodillenklemmen met de motor aansluitingen,
L1 op U, L2 op V, L3 op W
4. Druk op de aan toets knop, de groene LED geeft aan dat de
tester klaar is voor gebruik
5. Draai de motor een halve slag naar rechts
6. De rechtsdraaiende of linksdraaiende LED zal oplichten
Let op!
De onderzijde van de EazyPhase Moet richting de as van de
motor worden geplaatst. (zoals aangegeven op het oriëntatie
symbool op de tester).
3.4 Magnetisch veld detectie
Plaats de EazyPhase bij een spoel om het magnetisch veld te
detecteren, Indien een magnetisch veld aanwezig is zal een van de
richting LED’s oplichten.
De onderzijde van de EazyPhase Moet richting de as van de
motor worden geplaatst. (zoals aangegeven op het oriëntatie
symbool op de tester).

5 Onderhoud
Bescherm de tester tegen slechte weersomstandigheden.
De meter is niet waterdicht.
Let op: Om schade aan de meter te voorkomen, dient u
de meter niet bloot te stellen aan sprays, vloeistoen, of
oplosmiddelen.
Reinig de buitenkant van de meter met een pluisvrije
doek. Om schade aan het oppervlak van de meter te
voorkomen, dient u geen schuurmiddelen of chemische
schoonmaakmiddelen te gebruiken.
Batterij vervangen
1. Plaats de EazyPhase op een niet krassende vlakke ondergrond
en maak de schroeven los
2. Verwijder de achterzijde van de EazyPhase
3. Controleer de polariteit van de batterij zoals aangegeven in het
batterijvak
4. Plaats de achterzijde terug en monteer de schroeven weer
De EazyPhase bevat alkaline batterijen. Gebruikte
batterijen dienen te worden verwerkt door een erkend
recyclingbedrijf.

2. Introduction
The EazyPhase is a handheld, batteryoperated instrument designed
to detect the rotary eld of 3-phase systems and determine motor-
rotation direction.

3 Operation
3.1 To determine the rotary eld direction
1. Connect one end of the test leads to the EazyPhase. Make sure
the L1, L2, and L3 test leads are connected to the corresponding
input jacks
2. Connect the test probes to the other end of the test leads
3. Connect the test probes to the three mains phases. Press the
On/o button. The green ON indicator shows that the
instrument is ready for testing
4. Either the clockwise or counter-clockwise rotary indicator
illuminates showing the rotary eld direction present
5. The rotary indicator lights even if the neutral conductor, N,
is connected instead of the test lead input jacks

3.2 Non-contact rotary eld indication
1. Disconnect all test leads from the EazyPhase
2. Position the indicator on the motor so that it is parallel to the
length of the motor shaft, the Indicator should be maximum 1
inch close to the motor (gure 2)
3. Press the on/o button, the green ON indicator shows that the
instrument is ready for testing
4. Either the clockwise or counter-clockwise rotary indicator
illuminates showing the type of rotary eld direction present

Note!
The indicator will not operate with engines controlled by
frequency converters. The bottom of the EazyPhase should be
oriented towards the drive shaft (see the orientation symbol on
the EazyPhase).

The indicator will not operate with engines controlled by

3.3 Determine the motor connection
1. Connect one end of the test leads to the EazyPhase. Make
sure the L1, L2, and L3 test leads are connected to the
corresponding connector
2. Connect the alligator clamps to the other end of the test leads
3. Connect the alligator clamps to the motor connections, L1 to
U, L2 to V, L3 to W
4. Press the on/o button. The green on indicator shows the
instrument is ready for testing
5. Turn the motor shaft half a revolution towards the right
6. Either the clockwise or counter-clockwise rotary indicator
illuminates showing the present rotary direction
Note!
The bottom of the EazyPhase should be oriented towards the
drive shaft. See the orientation symbol on the EazyPhase
3.4 Magnetic eld detection
To detect a magnetic eld, place the EazyPhase to a solenoid valve.
A magnetic eld is present if either the clockwise or the counter-
clockwise rotary indicator illuminates.
