Introduction
C on your choice of a Walkabout Mother Bin to complement your farming operation. The Walkabout
Mother Bin (WMB/Walkabout) is an important piece of farm equipment that has the ability to dramatically increase your
harvest productivity. The WMB is the missing link between the grain cart and the trucks. It allows combines to keep mov-
ing in the event of any delays in the grain delivery chain. The WMB is totally mobile once unloaded and able to move from

taining it, read and fully understand the manual. This is to ensure that the operator has the knowledge to understand;
Safety, Operation, Maintenance and Troubleshooting information contained within this manual.
Keep this manual handy for frequent reference and to pass on to new operators or owners.

OPERATOR ORIENTATION - The directions left, right, front and rear, as mentioned throughout the manual, are as seen
from the tractor driver’s’ seat and facing in the direction of travel.

It is required that anyone towing, operating or maintaining this bin read and understand this manual and the other
manufactures manuals supplied with the bin.

1.1 GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNING
Safe practices must be followed when working on or operating this equipment. All personnel involved must:
Read and understand the instructions and manuals for this machine.
Be instructed in the safe use of pumps, motors and nozzles in the operations of this equipment.
Clear the area of all personnel not involved in the operations of this machine.

the Walkabout Mother Bin, and at least annually thereafter per OSHA regulation 1928.51.

1.3 SAFETY DECALS
Safety decals are used to identify and communicate the potential for personal injury hazards. The appropriate safety decal
for each safety message is chosen based on the following guidelines:
1. Keep safety decals clean and legible at all times.
2. Replace safety decals that are missing or have become illegible.
3. Replace parts that displayed a safety decal should also display the current decal.
4. Safety decal are available from your dealer parts department or the factory.
How to install safety decals:
NOTE: See section 1.12 SAFETY DECAL LOCATIONS for the correct location and positioning of the decals.
1. Be sure that the installation area is clean and dry.
2. Be sure the temperature is above 50°F (10°C).
3. Decide the exact position of the split backing paper.
4. Remove the smallest portion with the exposed adhesive backing in place.
5. Slowly peel back the remaining paper and carefully smooth the remaining portion of the decal in place.
6. Small air pockets can be pierced with a pin and smoothed out using the piece of decal backing paper.

1.4 GENERAL SAFETY
1. Read and understand the Operator’s Manual and all safety signs before operating,
maintaining or adjusting the Walkabout Mother Bin.

1.5 MAINTENANCE SAFETY
1. Review the Operator’s Manual and all safety items before working with, maintaining or operating the Walkabout
Mother Bin.

adjusting, repairing or unplugging.
3. Keep hands, feet, clothing and hair away from all moving and/or rotating parts.
4. Clear the area of bystanders, especially children, when carrying out any maintenance and repairs or making any
adjustments.

1.10 OPERATIONAL SAFETY
The following safety items are for the safe operation of the Walkabout Mother Bin during loading and unloading.
Failure to meet or exceed any of the following safety procedures will result in damage to the bin, towing vehicle, other
vehicles, property damage as well as serious injury or death.
- Prolonged or repeated contact with grain dust can cause eye and respiratory irritation. Repeated exposure can
cause permanent damage.
Be sure the tow vehicle is in PARK, the park brake set and remove the key from the ignition.
