WASP3D printer has a24month warranty fromthedate written onthelast page of thismanual
for private customersand a12month warranty for companiesor workerswith VATnumber,
unlessotherwise stated in writing.
The warranty covers allmanufacturingandmaterial defects.Replacementsandrepairoperations
are covered only if carriedout by our company and at ourservicingshop.
In caseofreturn forrepair under warranty,the customer must always send to WASP the whole
printer or,if possible,onlythe placewhich must bereplaced.
The material to be repairedwill have to be sent CARRIAGE FREE.
Oncethemachinehasbeen repaired,it will be senttothe customer CARRIAGEFORWARD.
The warranty covers neither the technicians' intervention on sitenor the machine disassembly
from theinstallation.
If for practicalreasons,one of ourtechniciansis sentonsite, the customer will be charged the
costsplus the travelling expenses.
The warranty does notinclude:
+failure caused by wrong use or assembly,
+failure caused by external agents,
+failure caused by lackof maintenance or carelessness,
+ the use of non suitable materials and of printing laments which can notbe usedwith Delta
2040printers.
WARRANTYFORFEITURE:
+Incaseof arrearage or other breachesof contract,
+Wheneverchangesor repairs arecarried outon our printers without our prior authorization
+Wheneverthe serial number is tampered with or cancelled,
+Wheneverthedamageis causedby improperuse,badtreatment, bumps,fallsandother
causesnot due to normal working conditions,
+Wheneverthe machineseemstampered with, dismantled or previously repaired byunau-
thorized staff.
+Whenever theprinteris sentback to thecompanyinside adifferent packaging from the one
provided atthe time of purchase.
+Whenevercomponents notproduced by WASP are added or mounted onthe printer.
The repairs under manufacturer's warranty donot interruptit.
All disputes will besettled in the court of justice of Ravenna (Italy).

WARNING
Totransport the 3D printer only themethodbelowcanbe used.Make surethemeansof transport
andthe lifting device canbear the weight of the machine with its packaging(about 25 Kg):
+Transport in cardboard box.
The staff incharge of handling must use protective gloves.
Whilelifting or handling the 3D printerorany of its parts, cleartheworking area, by leaving
asuf cientsafetyarea around ittoavoid injuringpeople or damaging objectsthatcouldbe
inside it.
Alltheoptionsorderedwiththe printerarepackedseparatelyorinserted inthesamepackaging.
Theprinteris insertedinsideacardboard boxwiththefollowing
dimensions 51cm x58cm x100cm(see picture1). In order
toavoid anymovement oftheprinter,two casings madeof
polyethylene foamare addedinside theboxtomaketheprinter
morestable and to protectitfrom any impact.
The printer iscovered inside byacellophane tape.In some
cases for thedelivery thestrapping is needed.Theboxcan
also beliftedmanually (sincetheweighthas alowvalue)but
atleast bytwopeople.

If theprinter issentinacardboard box, unpackitby meansof acutter.Liftthe fourupper
cardboardwings,thenlift the printerand extract it from the packaging.
Beforeremoving theprinter,extract theupperpolyethylene foam casing andthe two cardboard
corner protectors.
+Keep theoriginalpackaging in order to useit in case theprinter mustbe sentbacktothe
company.
+Always pay attentionto theglass surface.
+The packagingmustbe delivered to associations in charge of itsdisposal andrecycling.
+Checkfrom aboveto seeif anyunits or accessories havebeeninsertedintothe sides ofthe

The printer is provided with anheated extrudermountedon adeltarobotstructure,aworking
surfaceand areel unit.
The material is unrolled from thereel and led towardstheheated nozzle, whereitmelts and
drips through anozzle which leaves extra-small quantities of material on the working surface.
The materialgoes out fromthe printing headlayer on layerand each "layer" is de ned by the
lecreated by meansof aslicing software.Thereforeitispossibletocreate anyform and any
object accordingtothe limits ofthistechnology.
DeltaWASP guaranteesthe best results in nal printing thankstotheheated surface, the con-
trolled temperature environment and theshock absorbing bowden.

Beforeusing theprintermakesureit hasnotbeendamaged during transport or storage.Check
alsothat all the orderedoptionalelementsandall the standardcomponentsare inside thepacka-
ging.In caseof damage,informtheforwardingagent and themanufactureror thedealer.While
checking,pay attentionto thecorrectconnectionof the nylon tube located between lament
puller and extruder, because eventual schockscan compromise the functioning of theprinter.
The installation of the printerdoesnot requirespecialcareand it must be carried outbyspe-
cialized personnelonly.Pleasereadthe following instructionscarefully.
Keepthe printer away from heat, water or other fluids.
Do notinstall theprinter withoutthe suitableprotections.
The printer mustbeplaced on atable(notsuppliedwith the printer) which can bearits weight.
I Placethe printer in anarea withagood air circulation inorder to avoid exhalations when
using some experimental laments.
I The printer hasbeen designed to be placedon a tableor ona desk.
I Observe the freespaces required and speci ed in this manual.
I The printer must be as much as possibleprotectedfromdust,noxious vapours and humi-
dity.
I The printersurface issupplied with aheatingsystem.For aperfectworking result, the
external temperatureshould be keptataround 20°C. Higher or lower temperaturescould
damagethequalityof the printed elements.

The printer is suppliedwith asmall display and a
menunavigation button,which areplaced on the
upper part of the printer.
Withreference topicture5, button "1"is available
for menunavigation, display "2", SD card "3"and
USBportof typeB"4"areplaced onthe upper part
as well.
4.0 Use
REEL HOLDER
According tothe lament reeldimensionsthe reel can
beplaced inside the seatonthe upperpartofthe printer
or by means of the plexiglass bracketssupplied with
the printer,which must be inserted intoproperseats
"A"(see picture6) on the lamentholdercircular plate.
Screw"B"placed onthe lamentholder circularplate
allows the heightadjustment(see picture 6).
Reel"C"can be placed insidethe seatin printer upper
part "D" (see picture7).
Usually the seatallows loading standard reels with
maximum heightof100mm andmaximum diameter
of 200mm.
For bigger reels,the externalsupport can be used,as
describedon thefollowing page.

LARGE-SIZE REEL PLACEMENT
In order toplacereels withdiameterlargerthan 200mm orhigherthan 100mm, install the
externalsupport supplied with the machine.
Insert support brackets"A" intoseats "B" onplate"C" (see picture8).
Then insertreel"D"on crossbar "E"andplace it in one of theseatson brackets "A"(see
picture 9).
Bracket "A"is supplied withfourseatswhich allowinstalling reelswith diameter from 100mm
to150 mm andwithheight from 20to 100mm.

FILAMENT LOADING
In theprinter side with theseatfor the lament reel,a
small transparentteflontube "A"is located. Insertthe
lamentand push it until itgoesout fromthe lower
part.Thenplace thereelinside the seat(seepicture10).
Openthe printer frontdoor and takethread "A", press
levers "B"of the lament pullerand slide the thread
until it enters completely inside thedragging unit(see
picture 11). A

Turn knob"C"andslide thethreadthrough transparenttube "D"until it reaches the extruder
(see picture12).Enable the heating,wait until thedesired temperatureis reached, turn knob
"C" and check that thematerial goesout from nozzle "E" (see picture13).

PRINT TEST
Printing objects isreally easy and doesnotrequireanyparticularprecautions. The settings
describedbelow can be followedalso onceand themaintenancecan be checkedafteracon-
siderable time.
Spray somelacquer provided withthe printer onthe glasssurface.In case ofdeliveries abroad
use the stick glue supplied with the printer.
FILESETTING
Bring theprinter up to temperature.
Pushthebutton next to the dispaly.
In themenu which appears on thedisplay selectPrepare
by turning the button and pushing it.
According tothe lament type,select thecorrect pre-heating
function (theABSoption iscorrect also for different laments
suchas Nylonor Polystyrene).

The zero ofthebed may sometimes needto
be adjusted sothatthe lament canstick cor-
rectly.Useexternal wheels "A"placed under
the printer bed.
For model 4070thezero of thebed isadju-
sted by screwing/unscrewing the threescrews
locatednearthe extruder placementduring
calibration, by menas of ascrewdriver which
isnot supplied.
Atthe end oftheprintcollectthepiece by
means of apalette knifewhich isnot supplied.
WARNING
MakesurethattheSDcard withgcodehasbeeninserted inthe printer. Intheprovided card,
in the "gcode" folder therearesome les which are ready to be printed.
From theLCD display select "menu_print from sd" and choosethe desired le by pushing the
button.
The lacquer must be sprayed ontheglasssurface, keepingit outof the printer to preventda-
mages to the extruder and to the handling axis.
