Inthismanual,qualifiedpersonnelare defined as people that

1. Install, ground, power up and operate the CFW-10
according to this manual and the local required safety
procedures;
2. Useofsafetyequipmentaccordingtothelocal regulations;
3. Administer FirstAid.
DANGER!
Theinvertercontrolcircuit(CC10,DSP)andtheHMI-CFW10-
Parenotgrounded. They are highvoltagecircuits.
DANGER!
Always disconnect the supply voltage before touching any
electricalcomponentinsidetheinverter.
Manycomponentsare charged withhighvoltages,evenafter
the incoming AC power supply has been disconnected or
switchedOFF. Wait atleast10minutesforthe totaldischarge
ofthe power capacitors.
Alwaysconnecttheframeoftheequipmenttotheground(PE)
atthesuitableconnectionpoint.
ATTENTION!
All electronic boards have components that are sensitive to
electrostatic discharges. Never touch any of the electrical
componentsorconnectorswithoutfollowingpropergrounding
procedures.Ifnecessarytodoso,touchtheproperlygrounded
metallicframeor use asuitable ground strap.
NOTE!
Inverterscaninterferewithotherelectronicequipment.Inorder
toreducethisinterference,adoptthemeasuresrecommended
inSection3“Installation”.
NOTE!
Read this entire manual carefully and completely before
installingoroperating the CFW-10.
Do not apply High Voltage (High Pot) Test on the Inverter!
If this test is necessary, contact the Manufacturer.

It is important to note the Software Version installed in the
CFW-10,sinceit defines the functionsandthe programming
parametersof theinverter.
This manual refers to the software version indicated on the
insidecover.Forexample,theVersion1.0Xappliestoversions
1.00 to 1.09, where “X” is a variable that will change due to
minorsoftwarerevisions.

2.3ABOUT THE CFW-10 TheCFW-10frequencyinverter isfittedwiththeV/F(scalar)
controlmethod.
The V/F (scalar) mode is recommended for more simple
applicationssuchaspumpandfandrives.Inthesecasesone
can reduce the motor and inverter losses by using the
"QuadraticV/F"option,that results in energysaving.
TheV/F modeisalsousedwhen morethanonemotorshould
be driven simultaneously by one inverter (multimotor
application).

technicalinformation

CFW100040S2024ESZ = standard 4.0A CFW-10 inver-
ter, single-phase at 200V to 240V input with manual in
English.
If the CFW-10 is equipped with any optional devices, you
mustfill out all fieldsin the correctsequence up tothe last
optional device, the model number is completed with the
letterZ.

The CFW-10 is supplied in cardboard boxes.
Thereisanameplateontheoutsideof the packing box that is
identicalto that one onthe CFW-10.
Please check if the CFW-10 is the one you ordered.

Theequipmenthasnot been damaged during transport.
Ifanyproblemisdetected, contactthecarrierimmedately.
If the CFW-10 is not installed immediately, store it in a clean
and dry room (storage temperatures between -25°C and
60°C). Cover it to protect it against dust, dirt or other
contamination.
