2 Description
2.1 Intended purpose
The ULM CASE is for carrying drugs, dressings and other items.
2.2 Function
The ULM CASE has been ideally equipped for its sphere of
application. The compartments in the interior and the ampoule
strips are permanently fixed in position.

3 Safety Information
Please note the following for your own safety and that of your
patients.
• Please observe these operating instructions. They are a part of
to the case and must be kept available at all times.
• Thorough knowledge of and compliance with these operating
instructions are essential when using the case.
• Please comply with section "5 Hygienic preparation" on
page 8 to prevent infection or bacterial contamination.
• The case is intended solely for the designated purpose
described.
• If third-party items are used, functional failures may occur and
fitness for use may be restricted. Please note that in such cases,
any claim under warranty and liability will be voided if neither
the accessories nor genuine replacement parts recommended
in the instructions for use are used.
• Make sure that any leakages of liquids, e.g. from ampoules, are
cleared up immediately. Observe the relevant manufacturer’s
warnings and disposal instructions.

4 Assembly
4.1 Fitting a wall bracket
If you want to fit the case to a vehicle panel, only use wall bracket
WM 15370 (see "8 Product and Spare Parts", page10).
If you want to fit the case to the wall of a building, you may use
the appropriate wall bracket WM 15731 (see "8 Product and Spare
Parts", page10).
1. Mark the position of the drill holes.
You can use the wall bracket as a template.
2. Drill the fixing holes:
• In vehicles: with a 3 mm drill.
• In buildings: with a suitable drill for the wall plugs used.
3. Attach the wall bracket firmly.

Hygienic preparation
5 Hygienic preparation
Clean the inside and outside of the case simply by wiping with
disinfectant. Recommended disinfectant:
• terralin®protect. See also the instructions for use for the
disinfectant used. It is recommended that suitable gloves (e.g.
household or disposable gloves) are used for disinfecting.
Remove all equipment and materials from the case.
Equipment components
Follow the instructions for cleaning, disinfecting and, if
appropriate, sterilizing provided in the associated instructions for
use.

Functional Check
6 Functional Check
You should perform a functional check after every use (at least
every 2 years in the event of non-use).
If the functional check reveals a defect, the emergency case must
not be used again until the defect has been remedied.
Perform the functional check as follows:
1. Check that the inserts, cover plate, ampoule strips, case corners
and case handle are undamaged.
2. Check that the case fasteners open and close easily.
3. Check the hinges of the case and of the cover plate. They must
move easily and be properly attached.
Replace any defective parts.
7 Maintenance
7.1 Intervals
The emergency cases need no maintenance. However, please
observe the intervals for regular functional checks (see "6
Functional Check", page9).
We recommend having any repair work carried out by the
manufacturer, WEINMANN Emergency, or by expert personnel.

7.2 Sending in parts
1. Remove parts
2. Clean and disinfect parts (see "5 Hygienic preparation" on
page 8).
3. Send parts to WEINMANN Emergency, or to a technician
specifically authorized by WEINMANN Emergency.
7.3 Disposal
Do not dispose of the therapy device in domestic waste. To dispose
of the therapy device properly, contact an approved, certified
electronics scrap dealer. You can obtain the address from your
Environment Officer or your local authority. The device packaging
(cardboard and inserts) can be disposed of in paper recycling
facilities.
8 Product and Spare Parts
8.1 Standard equipment
Risk of infection due to contaminated parts during
maintenance work!
The device, accessories and other parts may be contaminated and
infect technicians with bacteria and viruses. Parts sent in which are
obviously contaminated will be disposed of by WEINMANN
Emergency or by technicians authorized by WEINMANN
Emergency, and the sender charged for this.
Clean and disinfect parts required for maintenance work.
Do not send in parts which are potentially contaminated.

To replace the following fittings it is necessary to drill out the rivets
securing the parts to be replaced. Then fix the new parts with a
pop riveter.
* Including mounting parts
To replace the following inserts it is necessary to dismantle the
entire shell of the case. For this purpose the rivets of all fittings such
as fasteners, hinges etc. must be drilled out. After positioning the
new inserts, use a pop riveter to attach the fittings again.

warranty on new original WEINMANN Emergency products and
any replacement part fitted by WEINMANN Emergency in
accordance with the warranty conditions applicable to the product
in question and in accordance with the warranty
periods from date of purchase as listed below. The warranty
conditions can be downloaded from
www.weinmann-emergency.com on the Internet.
We can also send you the warranty conditions on request.
In the event of a claim under warranty, contact your specialist

2.1 Destination
La VALISE ULM est destinée à accueillir des médicaments, des
pansements et d'autres éléments.
2.2 Fonction
La VALISE ULM a été équipée de manière optimale pour les
interventions. Les compartiments intérieures et les porte-ampoules
sont montés de manière fixe.

Pour assurer votre propre sécurité ainsi que celle de vos patients,
veuillez observer les consignes suivantes .
• Avant de manipuler la valise, il est indispensable de vous
familiariser avec les consignes données dans ce mode d’emploi.
• Pour éviter toute infection ou contamination bactériologique,
veuillez observer le paragraphe « 5 Préparation hygiénique » à
la page20.
• La valise ne doit être utilisée qu’aux fins auxquelles elle a été
conçue (cf. Domaine d’utilisation).
• L'utilisation d'articles d'autres marques risque d'entraîner des
pannes de fonctionnement ainsi qu'une limitation de l'aptitude
à l'emploi. Veuillez noter que, dans ce cas, tout droit relatif à la
garantie et à la responsabilité sera annulé, si ni les accessoires
recommandés dans la notice d'utilisation ni les pièces de
rechange d'origine ne sont utilisés.
• Si un liquide s’échappe, d’une ampoule p. ex., veillez à
l’éliminer immédiatement en observant les mises en garde et
les prescriptions du fabricant du produit.

4 Montage
4.1 Montage d’un support mural
Si vous souhaitez monter la valise sur la paroi du véhicule, utilisez
uniquement le support mural WM 15370 (voir « 8 Gamme de
produits » à la page22).
Si vous souhaitez monter la valise sur la paroi du bâtiment, vous
pouvez utiliser le support mural approprié WM 15731 (voir « 8
Gamme de produits » à la page22).
1. Marquez l’emplacement des trous à l’endroit prévu pour la
fixation.
Vous pouvez vous servir du support mural comme gabarit de
perçage.
2. Percez les avant-trous comme suit :
• Dans un véhicule : avec une mèche de Ø 3 mm.
• Dans un bâtiment : avec la mèche qui convient pour les
chevilles utilisées.
3. Vissez solidement le support mural.

Préparation hygiénique
5 Préparation hygiénique
Nettoyez l'intérieur et l'extérieur de la valise en désinfectant
simplement les surfaces par essuyage. Désinfectant recommandé :
• terralin®protect. Respectez également le mode d'emploi du
désinfectant utilisé. Il est recommandé de porter des gants
appropriés (gants de ménage ou gants à usage unique) lors de
la désinfection.
Enlevez tous les appareils et produits contenus dans la valise.
Équipements
Respectez les consignes de nettoyage, de désinfection et, le cas
échéant, de stérilisation mentionnées dans les notices d'utilisation
correspondantes.
