Operatingguidelines
Always place the soldering tool in
the safety rest while not in use.
Prevent the soldering tip from becoming seized. A
thin graphite layer applied to the thin end of the
soldering tip, plus frequent withdrawal of the
soldering tip, prevents unpleasant seizure.
During soldering breaks, always ensure that the
soldering tip is well tin-coated.
Always use the correct soldering tin. For normal
electrical connections, use a solder with as low an
acid content as possible together with a mild uxing
agent.
When working with the soldering tip, ensure that as
large an area as possible is used for transfer of heat
onto the workpiece.
WARNING!
The following safety regulations must be observed to
protect the health of personnel and to prevent electric
shocks, injury and the risk of re and explosions. Failure to
observe the safety regulations results in a risk to life and
limb.
These Operating Instructions and safety information must
be kept well visible in the vicinity of the soldering tool.
Applied directives
This device conforms to the specications of the EC
Declaration of Conformity with Directives 2004/108/EC,
2006/95/EC and 2011/65/EU (RoHS).
Specied Conditions Of Use
Use the soldering iron exclusively for the purpose
indicated in the Operating Instructions of soldering and
desoldering under the conditions specied here.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for damage resulting
from misuse of the machine or unauthorised alterations.
Safety instructions
Caution! Risk of injury through burning.
After the soldering process, the soldering tool and the
workpiece holder are still hot.
The soldering tip heats up during operation and if not
handled properly can result in burn marks, dimples and at
worst, burn wounds.
Due to the high temperatures, it is recommended that the
workpiece be xtured.
Risk of burning through liquid solder.
Wear appropriate protective clothing to protect yourself
against burns. Protect your eyes by wearing eye
protectors.
Take account of environmental inuences. Do not use the
soldering tool in a damp or wet environment. Keep all
combustible objects, liquids or gases well away from the
hot soldering tool.
Untidiness at the workplace increases the risk of
accidents. Always place the soldering tool in the safety
holder provided. Make sure the safety holder is stable.
Caution! Covering the soldering iron or the safety holder
poses a re hazard. Always keep objects well away from
the soldering iron and safety holder.
Protect yourself against electric shocks.
Avoid touching earthed objects such as pipes, heaters,
cookers and refrigerators.
Never work on voltage-carrying parts.
Valid safety provisions and accident-prevention
regulations must be observed.
Avoid abnormal posture. Arrange your work station in an
ergonomically correct way.
Before use check machine, cable, and plug for any
damages or material fatigue. Repairs should only be
carried out by authorised Service Agents.
The soldering tool must be operated only in perfect
technical working order.
Do not overload your soldering tool.
The mains cable must only be plugged into the mains
socket or adapter approved for this purpose.
Check that the mains voltage is compatible with the
connected load of the soldering iron.

scratching).
Dry clean the LEDs without water.
Disposal
Do not dispose of electric tools together with
household waste material! In observance of
European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste
electrical and electronic equipment and its
implementation in accordance with national law, electric
tools that have reached the end of their life must be
collected separately and returned to an environmentally
compatible recycling facility.
