1. General items
1.1 Introduction
When using permanent securing methods, beware not to cause damage to the sensor.
This product is a contact thermometer combining an indicator with a contact-integrated temperature
switch.
A handle for adjusting the external setting value is provided on the window.
Before using the product, make sure to fully familiarize with the user manual that indicates how to
handle each part for the correct use.
1.2 Application
When it reaches the target temperature, the product can be used for On-Off signal-based process
control, alarm, or warning displays, etc.

1.3 Product Characteristics
1) Contact thermometers are most suitable for cases where temperature indication and a switch
feature are needed.
2) A contact thermometer has individual measuring elements for indication and contact. This provides
accurate indication after switch assembly.
3) A contact thermometer has separate settings for the indication and setting markings, making
settings extremely easy.
4) A contact thermometer is simple to use, as the setpoint of the indicator can be set externally.
1.4 Warranty
If one causes damage to the product due to failures to comply with the user manual, or if one arbitrarily
remodels it, changes or repairs the product, the manufacturer will not be responsible for it, and the
product warranty period will expire.

2. Warning
Guide on handling for safe use
For the safe and correct use of the product, make sure to read the handling guide carefully before use.
Handling errors can cause device malfunctions, and it can lead to injury, accidents, etc.
Warning !
1) For the safety, only a worker with professional skills in electronics and electrical construction is
allowed to install the product.
2) Make sure to use the product within the rated input/output range set in the specifications.
3) Install the product in the environment of use indicated in the specifications.
4) Use the product in the permissible temperature range. If you use it outside the temperature range, it
can cause malfunctions or damage to the temperature switch, thus causing a degradation in the
safety nearby.
5) Do not apply excessive loads, vibrations, or impacts.
6) Do not let the sensor of the temperature meter to get bent. If the sensor gets bent, it can interfere
with the normal operation of the temperature meter, thus it can lead to temperature discrepancies.
7) Do not grab the head and turn it. Using a tool, hold the hexagonal screw parts to turn it.
8) O-ring can cause changes over time or characteristics change, and it can lead to a loss of
necessary functions for sealing, thus it requires periodic replacement, and in general, it is
recommended to replace it every 5 years.
9) When installing it in the site, make sure to follow the guide from the user manual.
10) Do not remodel the product itself or try to add a new function to it.
11) Do not use with corrosive fluids. Damage to the temperature measuring element may cause the
measuring fluid to be released, impacting the safety of the surrounding area.

4.2 Principle of operation
4.2.1 Bimetal type
A bimetal strip is a rod-shaped component where two thin sheets of metals with different thermal
expansion coefficients are joined by welding.
The difference between expansion of the coils depending on temperature is used to measure
temperature.
The degree to which the coil is twisted is converted into temperature.
Coil type thermometers are used for industrial temperature measurement.

4.2.2 liquid filled type
1) Temperature measurement
A filled system type thermometer is comprised of a ② sensor and indicator, and a ③ capillary tube
connecting the two. The inside is filled with a gas.
When the gas inside the sensor expands or contracts due to temperature change, the change in volume
is transmitted to a ④ Bourdon tube through a conduit.
The displacement of the tube is indicated as a temperature on the ⑤ display.
2) Temperature compensation
In a temperature measurement circuit, there can be an error between the temperature of the
measurement contact point and the actual temperature of the object being measured due to
temperature fluctuations around signal-transmitting lines or conduits or thermocouple converters.
The measured temperature is corrected to compensate for error due to changes in the surrounding
temperature.
There are two methods of compensation: In the first type of compensation, the temperature indicated by
the sensor is kept from changing regardless of fluctuations in the surrounding temperature.
In the second, methods are used to offset errors caused by fluctuations in the surrounding temperature.
A compensation wire uses the first method of compensation, maintaining the temperature indicated
regardless of surrounding temperature fluctuations.

5. Installation guide
5.1 Pre-installation checks and precautions
1) Handle with care during transport, as impact due to dropping may cause damage to performance.
2) Store in locations with low humidity and without dust or vibration. When stacking, weight should
be limited to prevent deformation of the packaging boxes. Boxes should be stacked to prevent
toppling over.
3) Open packaging carefully.
4) Check the product for damage and check process conditions before installing the product.
5.2 Matters of caution for installation
1) Temperature differentials are caused by the insertion depth of the sensor. For accurate temperature
measurement, the entire sensor of the thermometer must be inserted.
2) The product is sensitive to vibration and impact.
3) If the installation location is subject to vibration or mechanical impact, install the thermometer a safe
distance away.
4) Use of a thermowell is recommended for safe use and maintenance.

5) Fasten securely using tools such as a spanner.

6) Holding and turning the thermometer case at installation may cause defects.
7) The bolt under the case must be loosened to adjust the direction of the indicator unit of the
thermometer. Once the bolt is loosened, the indicator can be adjusted to the desired angle.
8) Periodically inspect the installation location for moisture, vibration, dust, corrosive gas.
9) Avoid areas that might exceed the temperature ranges specified in this manual.
10) Make sure to protect from lightning or steam.
11) Avoid areas with direct sun light.

6. Wiring

6.2 Setting method
1) Open the cover of the setting adjustment dial.
2) Adjust the setting value by pressing and turning the setting adjustment dial right or left using a flat
head screwdriver.
3) Depending on the depth to which the adjustment dial is depressed, the settings for contact NO.1 or
NO.2 can be adjusted.
4) After adjusting settings, close the cover to prevent ingress of foreign matter into the thermometer.
6.3 Cautions for wiring
1) Do not apply excessive force to the main body.
2) Use vinyl insulation cables, cap tier cables, etc., adequately for the load.
3) Make a firm connection to the terminal board using an M4 compression terminal.
4) Make sure to wire it after checking the contact point format on the wiring diagram.
5) Grounding
- Use the grounding terminal made of aluminum material for corrosion prevention.
- Use the grounding bolt made of 304SS materials.
- Use a spring washer to prevent looseness of the grounding terminal.
- After checking the joint, connect a proper grounding cable to the external grounding terminal.
6) After making a connection, check if the power supply and the signal cable are connected properly.

7. Repair and maintenance
1) Use it in a temperature that is no more than 75% of the max scale reading.
2) Do not apply temperatures out of the temperature range.
3) Avoid sudden temperature change.
4) Do not inject fuel into the driving unit within the temperature meter.
5) Periodically check the product for normal operation at least once or twice every 6 months.
6) If the setting error is big, then disassemble the product for inspection.
7) The product can malfunction due to each part's abrasion, corrosion, external vibration, or impact
that causes distortions. In this case, you need to remove the cause, make an adjustment, or
replace parts.
8) Use the rated current according to the standard in 3.1 9) but in case of the built-in micro switch, it
may differ, thus consider some margins based on the rush current within the range of rated current
for the product.
9) The micro switch's contact resistance will increase gradually as time passes. Especially, in case of
contact point operation in an environment with silicon, light load can lead to an accumulation of
SiCO2 in the contact point, thus causing a sudden increase in the contact resistance. Therefore,
make sure to ventilate properly, or use it in the clean environment. Especially, if used for inputs to
the control sequence, it can cause contact point failure, thus make sure to use the 110/220V buffer
relay.
8. Defect
1) If the indicator needle shakes, please check for the following.
à Loose fastening of connection, worn connection, vibration near the installation location.
2) If the temperature indicated by the needle differs from the actual temperature, adjust using the zero
point adjustment device on the rear face of the thermometer.

9. User's duties
1) Incorrect installation can eventually lead to an inaccurate reading of temperature.
2) During use, if one causes damage to the product due to failures to comply with the user manual, or
if one arbitrarily remodels, changes or repairs the product, the manufacturer will not be responsible
for it, and the product warranty period will expire.
3) Wise can support users’ selection but will not be responsible for them in any sort of way.
10. Product return
1) If the product gets returned for recalibration or repair work, make sure to use the original packaging
or safe packaging method, and also make sure to return the related documents.
2) Make sure to prevent exposures of the product to dust, wetness, or other sources of pollution
during the conveyance.
3) Pack it properly to prevent vibration or any kind of impact during the conveyance.
4) If the product gets damaged during the conveyance, make sure to record it on paper, and if there is
some kind of loss due to a delayed installation, one may demand compensation from the
conveyance company.

1. 일반사항
1.1 소개
본제품은 지시계와 접점장치가 내장된 온도 스위치를 조합한 접점부 온도계입니다. 접점 블록(Contact
Block )을탑재한 온도계로, 이블록은 문자판에 있으며, 필요한 모든 접촉 조합을 허용합니다. 윈도우
에는 외부 세팅 값을 조정하는 손잡이가 있습니다.
본제품을 사용하고자 하면 각각의 취급 요령을 기재한 본사용설명서를 숙지하시고 바르게 사용하여
주시기 바랍니다.
1.2 적용
본제품은 설정된 온도에 도달하였을 때온, 오프(On-Off) 신호에 따른 프로세스 제어, 이상 경보,
또는 경고 등의 표시에 사용할 수있습니다. 또한 현장에서 압력의 지시 값을 확인할 수있습니다.
1.3 특징
1) 접점부 온도계는 온도 지시와스위치 기능이 필요한 경우에 가장 적합합니다.
2) 접점부 온도계는 측정 소자가 지시용, 접점용 각각 별개이므로 스위치 조립 후의 지시 또한 정확합니다.
3) 접점부 온도계는 지시 눈금과 설정 눈금이 별도로 설치되어 있어 설정이 매우 쉽습니다.
4) 접점부 온도계는 설정 값을 외부에서 지시 눈금에 임의로 설정할 수있어 사용이 간편하다.

4) 사용 가능한 온도 범위 내에서 사용하십시오. 사용 온도 범위를 초과하여 사용할 경우 온도스위치
의고장이나 파손으로 주위 안전에 영향을 미치는 원인이 됩니다.
5) 무리한 하중, 진동, 충격을 가하지 마십시오.
6) 온도계의 감지부가 휘어지지 않도록 주의하십시오. 감지부가 휘면 온도계의 정상적인 작동을 방해
하므로 온도 편차의 원인이 됩니다.
7) 본제품의 헤드를 잡고 돌리지 마십시오. 공구를 사용하여 나사 육각부위를 잡고 돌리십시오.
8) 경년 변화 및시간에 따른 변화를 가져오는 오링은 실링에 필요한 기능을 상실할 수있으므로 정
기적인 교체가 필요하고 통상적으로 5년주기로 교체하는 것이 적합합니다.
9) 현장 설치 시반드시 사용설명서의 설치 요령에 따라 설치하여 주십시오.
10) 제품 자체의 개조 또는 새로운 기능을 추가하기 위한 개조 등은 하지 마십시오.
11) 부식성이 있는 측정 유체에 사용하지 마십시오. 온도 측정소자 손상으로 인하여 측정 유체가 방출
됨으로써 주위 안전에 영향을 미치는 원인이 됩니다.
