Safety and installation notes – please observe
Caution
The mains voltage must match the rated input voltage of the unit
(230 VAC).
Connecting cable — Lay the cable so that no-one can trip
over it.
— Lay the cable with a downward loop so that any
water condensing on it can drip on the floor instead of running into the
unit.
Selecting the installation location
Excessive temperatures will reduce the operating lifetime of the unit.
Don't install the unit directly above or in the vicinity of radiators or heating
systems where it would be subjected to thermal radiation or oil vapours.
Moisture
Water dripping or splashing onto the unit will damage it. If there is
condensation on the unit, wait until this has evaporated before switching
the unit on.
Caution – danger!
In accordance with EN 60728-1, the satellite antenna system must comply
with the safety requirements with respect to grounding, potential
equalisation, etc.
Service work
Service work may be carried out only by qualified personnel. Always
disconnect the supply voltage before starting any such work.
Ambient temperature — Not greater than 50 °C.
Thunderstorms
Avoid carrying out service work on the antenna system during thunder-
storms.
Caution – danger!
Fuses may be replaced only by qualified personnel. Only fuses of the same
type and rating may be used.
Batteries
Do not throw exhausted batteries in the garbage. They must be disposed
of separately.
All of our packing materials (cardboard boxes, packing notes, plastic films
and plastic bags) can be recycled.

Scope of delivery:
1 pcs. GN01 (a)
4 pcs. fixing screws for the front panel
2 pcs grounding nuts for Chameleon modules +wash nuts
1 pcs. Grounding cable for the GN01-grounding
Mounting of the GN 01 to a wall/surface:
Mount the housing on the surface as shown in the drawing below. Make sure to mount the GN 01
with fans downwards to enable correct cooling.
NOTE! Screws (*) for mounting are not included since type and length of screws are depending on
type of surface.

Assembling the Chameleon modules in the GN 01
1. Change the screws of the Chameleon module with the delivered screws (a)
2. Put the Chameleon modules in the GN 01, and fix it with the front panel screws. Fix the back of
the Chameleons with the delivered grounding nuts (b, next side).
Ventilation of the chameleon-units
The ventilation is important to prevent over-heating of the Chameleon modules.
- Ensure that the top-cover is mounted, and that there is free space at the rear side.
Important information!
- Use the GN 01 only with the fans running.
- 30 cm free space is needed for ventilation.
- The Chameleon module has an embedded temperature sensor.
If the Chameleon module is too hot, it stops running without a warning
signal.
Changing the power supplies
Disconnect the AC an DC Power cables and remove the power supply unit.
Mount the new power supply unit and reconnect the DC and AC cables.

Connecting the cables
Insert the Chameleon modules in the GN 01 and fix the screws
1) Connect the ground/earth to the GN 01 with delivered screw.
2) Connect the DC-power.
3) Connect the inputs and outputs to each chameleon module on the backside.
4) Connect the AC Power cable to the receptacle.
5) BNC cables are available in different lengths (GN11 0025 , GN11 0100) for ASI and SDI
connections on BNC1 and BNC2 connectors.
