1. Operation
, then it transitions automatically “Home screen”.
When single measurement is set to display on a screen, Home screen will be skipped and Main
screen will show up. See chapter 2 to know screens.

NOTE
It takes more than ten seconds for the startup screen to switch to Home screen after FLXA402 is
powered on.
When you use SENCOM SA and connect no SENCOM SA or incompatible sensors, an error
appears to indicate inappropriate setting or measurement error. To review and modify initial
setup, if you need. See chapter 4.
NOTE
For several seconds after power is on, 4 mA is output. This does not imply the device has fault.
NOTE
In the beginning of the measurement, you might see the measurement displayed “----”. This
happens because the sensor is preparing for the measurement and not because of fault. Wait
until the sensor is ready.
NOTE
When there is no touch operation for 10 minutes, the screen automatically switches to Monitor
screen

go to Chapter 4 and Chapter 5. We recommend that you follow the next order to be ready for
measurement.
1. Select Language if necessary Section 1.1

* Factory default at delivery is set on Singapore Standard Time. If you use the converter in other country, set it to the local time.

1.1 Language
English is set to the factory default. Select your preferred language out of the following:
Russian*, Spanish (in alphabetical order)
* The support of the language is pending.
Language screen is always displayed in English no matter what language you choose.
l How to select language
1. On Home/Main screen, tap to go to Converter menu.
2. Tap “Language” to go to Language screen.
3. On Language screen, tap the box. A drop-down list appears.
4. Out of the drop-down list, select your preferred language.
5. The selected language enters the box. Tap to save.
6. A dialog box pops up to ask you if you admit the trend data will be cleared. Select “Yes”.

1.2 Date/Time setting
Singapore Time (SGT) is set to factory default in FLXA402. We recommend setting or changing
date and time to local time to use logbooks or trend graph.
Go to Home/Main screen > > Converter menu > “Others” > Date/Time setting

Select a Date/Time display format: three types of format are available. Default is YYYY/MM/DD.

1.3 Password
Password security gives only authorized administrators access to data.
Password is not included in factory default. You will need to establish one to secure the system.
See 5.4 for further information on setting password.
There are two types of password, Commissioning or Execute. *
After you create password, password prompts if you enter the following item:
Commissioning “Setting” , “Reset” , “Others”
Execute: “Calibration” or , “Reset wellness” , “Manual wash” , Manual
hold
* Customers cannot create password for service mode. It is for professional service use only.
l How to create password.
1. On Home/Main screen, tap “MENU” on top to go to Converter menu.
2. Select “Others”.
3. Select “Password”.
4. On Password screen, tap “Commissioning”.
5. Tapping “Commissioning” prompts a keyboard, where you can create a password by using
up to 12 characters.
6. The password enters “Commissioning”. Now turns to .
7. To create a password for “Execute”, repeat the same process as 4 to 6. To validate the
password, tap .

First create a password for “Commissioning”. You cannot skip setting up password for
“Commissioning” and go to set up one for “Execute.”

CAUTION
When tapping on screen, do not use a tool with a sharp tip (e.g. pencil, ballpoint pen), a thin stick,
a tool with a hard tip etc. to avoid scratches on the touch screen.
Navigate icons

Moves the cursor for selecting the menu item. Tap the icon to move the cursor
up/down. Some pages may continue.

2.1 Home screen
On Home screen FLXA402 assigns sensor connection numbers to up to 8 measurements
respectively.
If only one sensor connection (1-1) is set to display, Home screen does not appear.

2.2 Main screen
On Main screen, FLXA402 assigns sensor connection numbers to up to 8 measurements
respectively.
Main screen shows up upon startup when only one sensor connection (Sensor connection
On Home screen, tap a preferred sensor connection number to go to Main screen of the selected
sensor connection.
You can manipulate items’ position by tapping 2nd or 3rd item on Main screen. The tapped item
replaces itself with 1st item. (As for what 1st to 3rd represents, read the list below.)
NOTE
You can program positions where every 1 to 3 item to display (4.5.1 Display 1-1/1-2/1-3/1-4,
2-1/2-2/2-3/2-4 settings ) For instance, in pH measurement, by default, pH measurement value
appears at the position of 1st item (1st line), temperature value goes to the one for 2nd item (2nd
line), and the place for the 3rd item (3rd line) is blank.

2.3 Monitor screen
The Monitor screen appears upon startup when the MONITOR Display is On. (On as factory
default)
Tap 1st item on Main screen, then the screen switches to Monitor screen zooming in the value.
When MONITOR Display is On and there is no panel operation over certain period of time, which
screen automatically.
The Main screen shows up automatically in the following cases:
