E>GO naviceiver – 100 % custom-fit
E>GO is an innovative concept from ZENEC, the leading multimedia
specialist. Exchange and Go – E>GO for short – stands for a new
gen-eration of naviceivers, whose construction and design is custom-
fit to the interior of various types of automobiles.
Navigation, entertainment, communication – the ZE-NC2040 navicei-
ver is a complex navigation and multimedia system with a large range of
features. ZENEC‘s new top-of-the-line model fits together visually with
all automobiles belonging to the VW Golf IV line – for example with the
VW Golf IV, VW Passat, VW Bora, VW Polo and VW Sharan.
The red button illumination and the customized design of the front
panel makes the E>GO not only perfect for the respective look of the
car interior, but the E>GO is also effortlessly integrated into the existing
automotive electronics. The ZE-NC2040 is suited for installation into
the original center console of the above named automobiles without
further modifications and without any additional adapters: simply take
out the factory radio, put in the E>GO and drive off.

Grade A image presentation
The 16.5 cm/6.5" touchscreen dis-
play is top quality: A non-reflecting
TFT LCD panel with LED backlight
delivers sharp, brilliant and high-con-
trast pictures – under bright daylight
conditions.
All of the functions can be comfort-
ably controlled using the touch sen-
sitive panel. A Dual-Main-GUI (gra-
phical user interface) with two main
planes and large display icons make
sure that the E>GO can be unerringly
operated during the ride.
First-class navigation
The integrated navigation system of the ZE-NC2040 is absolutely
upper class: maps covering 43 European countries, TMC/TMC Pro
receiver, tunnel mode, lane assistant, 3-D landscape/city map views
or the highway split screen display mode with real signpost ren-
dering (display of the highway signs on the map) – these features
underline the high standard with which the ZENEC E>GO navigates.
Pure infotainment
When it comes to the top-of-the-line naviceiver equipment, all wishes
have been fulfilled: The built-in CD/DVD drive plays all the current A/V
formats. The electrical and mechanical anti-shock system provides for
perfect image and sound fidelity during the ride. In addition to an RDS
tuner for the best radio reception, the ZE-NC2040 is also equipped
with an integrated digital power amplifier (4 x 50 watts) and a Dolby
digital decoder.
The E>GO has a USB port and a SD/SDHC card reader so music, mov-
ies, multimedia files or photos can be easily played back. The card slot
is easily accessible on the front and is useable for SD and SDHC cards
of up to 8 GB of memory.
Communication made easy
The ZE-NC2040 is equipped with an advanced CK5050+ Bluetooth
system from Parrot. This makes playing music from a mobile phone
and making phone calls in the car as simple as child‘s play.
Ingeniously easy operation
All functions are comfortably operated using the touchscreen: From the
operation of the navigation or the iPod and the Parrot hands-free equip-
ment to additional components like a DVB-T tuner or rear view camera.
Perfect integration
The design of the ZE-NC2040 is specifically tailored to match up with
the interior of VW Golf IV line vehicles including the button illumination
in red.
iPod and iPhone ready
As a matter of course, the ZE-NC2040 is iPod and iPhone ready for
all models (compatibility list on www.zenec.com). The connection is
made with the ZE-NC-IPS interface cable (available separately). Com-
plete compatibility means that songs, videos, podcasts, etc. can be
played back and controlled via touchscreen.

Compatible automobiles
Please note: The ZE-NC2040 replaces the VW radio navigation systems “RNS MCD” and “RNS-MFD”, the AUDI radio navigation system “Navigation Plus” and the SEAT radio “RNS 2DIN”.
Restrictions: The ZE-NC2040 does not come with an multifunction display connection or steering wheel remote connection. The vehicle must be set up for a 2-DIN radio. The ZE-NC2040 is equipped with an
ISO cable harness, which means that vehicles fitted with a quad lock connection need an adapter.

Integrated full-feature navigation
Navigate unerringly via touchscreen in all of western and eastern
Europe – with its integrated navigation system, the naviceiver
ZE-NC2040 reliably shows you the way in more than 43 countries.
Due to the customized Nav-Engine software, the route calculation is
very fast.
Enter the desired destination thereby choosing between the various
destination and route entries – through address, ZIP/postal code, POI,
saved/last found destinations. etc. – and you are ready to go.
Your electronic copilot guides you to your destination without detours
and shows you, if you so wish, relevant points such as gas stations,
hotels, restaurants, parking lots, etc.
Unmistakable navigation is ensured through a clear graphic map display,
where various scales and view modes are available in 2-D and 3-D, as
well as precise voice guidance (in 28 languages) and an easily under-
standable GUI display (also in 28 languages). The automatic zoom at
intersections or traffic circles makes sure that there is no confusion even
at difficult locations.
Tunnel mode and lane assistant plus the 3-D landscape or 3-D city map
views (with buildings, places of interest, and city maps) simplify the na-
vigation just as well as the highway split screen mode with real signpost
rendering (the display of signs in real-time on the map).
Contained in the set: An external GPS receiver
and external TMC/TMC Pro receiver, which
make current traf fic reports available. With TMC
you will be infor med about traffic jams or other
obstructions on your route in a timely manner.
The navigation system automatically gives you
alternative route suggestions so you can avoid
annoying traff ic jams and unnecessary delays
during your journey.
Map updates and new features
You can update the ZE-NC2040 content package, expand the navi-
section with additional maps, or download the newest 3-D citymaps
using the website zenec.naviextras.com anytime, in the middle of the
night or even during a journey. The website zenec.naviextras.com
makes it easier than ever before to keep your navigation system up-
to-date and individually put the new features and functions together.

Ease of installation/user friendliness
The installation of the ZE-NC2040 is uncomplicated: Simply connect
the E>GO with the vehicle’s plug, plug in the FM and GPS antenna ca-
ble and you can then mount the E>GO into the radio slot of the center
console.
iPod/iPhone
iPod and iPhone can be connected to
the Media link box with the adapter
cable ZE-NC-IPS (available separate-
ly). The connection using the USB high
speed bus not only allows for quick
access to all files, but also the control
of videos via the naviceiver touch-
screen. Naturally the iPod and iPhone
are being charged during playback.

Media link box
Especially practical: USB port or iPod
connection are available by the very
compact included Media link box. The
relatively small box (with 1.5 m cable
extension) can be placed in the center
console or in the glove compartment or
wherever it can be reached conveniently.
This makes it possible to quickly
connect and disconnect additional A/V
data sources/components.

Communication via Bluetooth
Make phone calls and play music from your mobile phone: ZENEC‘s
naviceiver allows pairing and convenient operation of almost any Blue-
tooth compatible mobile phone from a ZE-NC2040. The ZE-NC2040 is
equipped with the CK5050+ BLuetooth module from the leading hands-
free specialist Parrot. In addition to the hands-free application, audio
files from a mobile phone can be read-out (audio streaming via A2DP
with AVRCP-profile) and played back in superb quality through the car‘s
speakers and operated by touchscreen.
Convenient hands-free talking
The new Parrot Bluetooth module marks an improvement in mobile
communication: advanced signal processing technology, the so called
Parrot Beamforming, is provided through a multi-directional, freely
positionable external microphone. With this technology, surrounding
noises and echo effects are supressed, so that the voice is clearer. In
cases where an externally mounted microphone is no option, an inter-
nal microphone is provided as well.
Hands-free during the drive – the caller number, phone book entries
and other information are clearly shown on the ZE-NC2040 display.
The address book of the naviceiver is automatically synchronized with
the mobile phone as well. The Parrot module enables an alphanumeric
sorting of phone book entries with an additional search function – a
feature that guarantees ease in finding phone book entries, especially
for professional use.

niently updated using a USB stick, for example if you would like to
use a brand new mobile phone model or business phone in the car.

time – with the ZE-NC2040 you are always up-to-date.

Updates secure the future
Many options allow for you to always be kept up
to date with the ZE-NC2040, for example up-
dating the ZENEC CAN interface software via
USB port. Even the system software is updatable
(to implement functions still to come) as well as
the Parrot Bluetooth module firmware – so that
the ZENEC equipment is always compatible with
new peripheral devices.
Software updates for all ZENEC E>GO equipment
can be downloaded conveniently from the inter-
net at www.zenec.com (menu item “Support“).
Additional components from the ZENEC program
The ZENEC program has a wide palette of multimedia-based additional
components that are optimally suited to the E>GO ZE-NC2040. All equip-
ment – external monitors, DVB-T tuners or rear view cameras – can be
connected directly to the naviceiver; the settings can be operated via touch-
screen or with the ZE-NC2040 IR remote control.
