
0. ASSEMBLY
Follow these steps to assemble your Bottle Catamaran. Coloured numbers refer to the d agrams.
CROSSBEAM AND FLOAT SUP PORTS
O Ident fy the crossbeam and study t carefully. In the centre, on the top, s a hole nto wh ch the motor
f ts. It has two cut-out slots n ts edge. The front of the crossbar s the s de w th the smaller cut-out n
t. Ident fy and study the two float supports. The front of each float support s the end w th the loop on.
Place a float support at one end of the crossbeam, and make sure the front of the crossbar faces the front
of the float support. Attach the p eces together w th two screws, wh ch should be placed n the centre two
holes of the four holes n the float support. (There are four screw holes on the each of the float supports.
You may screw the crossbeam to any two of them . After you have attached the bottles to the float
supports, place the catamaran on water and check f t s float ng n balance. If the catamaran s t lted
to the front, t may overturn and submerge nto the water when the propeller starts sp nn ng n full speed.
You need to balance the catamaran by mov ng the crossbeam to screw holes at the rear before you start
us ng t.)
Q Attach the other float support to the other end of the crossbeam n the same way.
MOTOR AND BATTERY
Q Carefully place the motor nto the hole n the top of the crossbeam,
w th the sp ndle rest ng n the small slot at the front, and connect ons
for the w res at the top.
Q Put the motor cover over the motor so that the w res go through the
slots n the rear of the cover. Secure the cover w th two screws.
Q Turn the model over. Now f t the battery case. Feed the w res from
the battery case through the holes at the rear of the motor cover, and
push the battery case nto place. The holes at each end of the case f t
over the pegs under the motor cover and crossbeam. Secure the battery
case w th two screws. Do not put batter es n yet.
Q You need to connect the w res from the battery to the w res from the
motor. Push the bare end of a red w re from the motor and a bare end of
a red w re from the battery case nto one of the term nal holes n the
motor case. Push n a term nal cap so that t touches both bare w res.
Repeat w th the other two w res.
Q Cl p the top cover over the rear of the motor cover. Secure t w th a
screw.
