7. Slot together the right and left sides of the skull (parts A and B), trapping the jaw (part C) between them. Make sure the
pinsinsidethetwohalvesoftheskullslotintotheholesinthejawasshown,sothatthejawcanpivotfreely.
8.Slottheassembledskullontotherodsothatthejawrestsonthetopoftheskullsupport.
9.PressthebuttontooperateyourRoaringT-RexSkull.ROAR!
10. Fill in the fun Certificate of Authenticity (part E) and add the display tag card (part F) to the base to complete your T-Rex
Skulldisplay.

• Your Roaring T-Rex Skull is a model of the skull of a dinosaur called Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex for short), which means
‘TyrantLizardKing’.
•Thisferociousmeat-eatingdinosaurlivedabout65to70millionyearsago.
•AT-Rexwasupto12metreslongandcouldrunatmorethan30kilometresperhour.
•ArealT-Rex’sskullwas1.25metreslonganditsjawwasfullofrazor-sharp,20-centimetrelongteeth.
•ScientistshaveshownthataT-Rex’sjawcouldbitewithaforceofmorethan6metrictonnes!Itcouldeasilycrushbones.
• Nobody knows what noise a T-Rex really made. It might have been a very low but very loud rumbling sound rather than
roarlikealionorthetrumpetofanelephant.
•Fossilhuntershaveunearthedmorethan20completeT-Rexskeletons.
1. Turn the base (part D) upside down. Insert the sound module (part H) into position in the base and secure it with two
screws(partM).
2.Insertthebutton(partL)intothebasethenaddthebuttoncover(partJ)andsecureitwithtwoscrews.
3. Insert the two black wires into one of the terminals and add a terminal cap (part N) to secure the wires in place. Repeat
withthetworedwiresintheotherterminal.
4. Insert two 1.5-volt AAA batteries into the battery compartment, making sure that the flat, negative ends of the battery are
againstthesprings.Addthebatterycover(partI)andsecureitwithascrew.Adultsupervisionisrequired.
5.Pressthebuttontotestthatthesoundmoduleisworkingcorrectly.
6.Inserttheskullsupport(partK)intothebaseandslotintherod(partG)intoit.
