INLINE DESCALER
REPLACEMENT CARTRIDGE
for use with AOW-AS20 Inline Descaler

1 Conrm that equipment connected to Inline
Descaler System is turned off — the system
must be turned off before shutting off
water supply.
2 If bypass line is installed, feed water will
bypass system during descaler cartridge
change. To ensure this happens properly,
open bypass valve, close inlet valve, and then
close the unit outlet valve. Figure A
3 If no bypass line is installed,
turn off your feed water.
4 Release pressure to system
by pressing red button
on top of unit. Figure B
5 Unscrew housing
sump using included
wrench if necessary.

6 Discard old
cartridge.
Retain spacer.

7 Insert new cartridge
into sump. Reuse
the spacer that was
included with
the original unit.

8 Inspect O-ring for any
damage and replace
if necessary.

9 Re-install descaler
housing sump.
HAND-TIGHTEN ONLY.
10 Pressurize system by slightly opening feed
valve. Once pressurized, open valve fully.
Inspect seals for leaks. If there is a leak,
you may tighten the sump slightly more
with the wrench.
11 Flush system for 2 minutes with drain
valve open. If no drain valve is installed,
disconnect from equipment for ush cycle.
12 Turn on all equipment
connected to system.
13 Record the date of the descaler
cartridge change for future
scheduling of replacements.

FILTRO DE REEMPLAZO DEL
DESCALCIFICADOR EN TUBERÍA
para uso con el descalcicador en tubería AOW-AS20

1 Conrme que el equipo conectado al sistema
descalcicador en tubería esté apagado; el
sistema se debe apagar antes de cortar el
suministro de agua.
2 Si hay una tubería de derivación instalada, el
agua de alimentación será derivada del sistema
durante el cambio del cartucho del
descalcicador. Para garantizar que esto ocurra
de manera correcta, abra la válvula de
derivación, cierre la válvula de entrada y luego
cierre la válvula de salida de la unidad. Figura A
3 Si no hay una tubería de
derivación instalada, corte el
agua de alimentación.
4 Presione el botón rojo en la parte
superior de la unidad para
liberar la presión hacia el sistema.

5 Destornille la carcasa del
sumidero con la llave
incluida, si fuera
necesario. Figura C
6 Deseche el cartucho
antiguo. Deje el
separador. Figura D
7 Inserte el cartucho
nuevo en el sumidero.
Reutilice el espaciador
que venía incluido en
la unidad original.

8 Inspeccione la junta tórica
para ver si está dañada
y reemplácela si fuera
necesario. Figura E
9 Vuelva a instalar la
carcasa del sumidero del
descalcicador. SOLO
APRIETE CON LA MANO.
10 Abra levemente la válvula de alimentación
para presurizar el sistema. Una vez
presurizado, abra la válvula completamente.
Inspeccione que no haya fugas en los sellos.
Si hay una fuga, puede apretar un poco más
el sumidero con la llave.
11 Purgue el sistema por 2 minutos con la válvula
de drenaje abierta. Si no hay una válvula de
drenaje instalada, desconéctelo del equipo
para el ciclo de purga.
12 Apague todos los equipos
conectados al sistema.
13 Registre la fecha del cambio del ltro
descalcicador para planicar reemplazos
posteriores.
