Inledning
Dennahandbokinnehållerinformation för installation och drift-
sättning av HD4-brytare för medelspänning.
Läs handboken omsorgsfullt för att kunna hantera produkten
rätt.
Monteringav tillbehör och/eller reservdelar framgår avtillämp-
liga avsnitt.
Liksom all övrig apparatur som tillverkas av ABB är HD4-
brytarna konstruerade för olika installationskonfigurationer.
Det kan dock krävas ytterligare konstruktionstekniska
modifieringar (enligt kundens önskemål) för anpassning till
särskilda installationskrav.
Informationen som lämnas nedan gäller därför inte alltid för
specialkonfigurationer.
Utöver denna broschyr måste därför även senaste tekniska
dokumentation (kretsschema, kopplingsschema, monterings-
och installationsritningar, eventuella studier av säkerhets-
samverkan osv) finnas tillgänglig, i synnerhet när eventuella
modifieringar av standardutförandet har begärts.
Alla åtgärder vad gäller installation, driftsättning,
drift och underhåll måste utföras av behörig perso-
nal med ingående kunskaper om apparaten.
Använd endast originaldelar för underhåll.

Introduction
This publication contains the information necessary for instal-
lation and putting into service of HD4 medium voltage circuit-
breakers.
For correct usage of the product, please read this manual
carefully.
For correct mounting of accessories and/or spare parts please
refer to the relevant instructions.
Like all the apparatus manufactured by us, the HD4 circuit-
breakers are designed for different installation configurations.
Theydo,however,allowfurther technical-constructional varia-
tions (at the customer’s request) to suit special installation
requirements.
For this reason, the information given below does not always
cover special configurations.
Apartfromthisbooklet,itisthereforealwaysnecessarytorefer
tothelatesttechnicaldocumentationavailable(circuitdiagram,
wiringdiagrams,assemblyandinstallationdrawings,anystud-
ies of protection co-ordination, etc.), especially with regard to
any variations from standardized configurations requested.
All the operations regarding installation, putting
into service, operation and maintenance must be
carried out by suitably qualified personnel with in-
depth knowledge of the apparatus.
Only use original spare parts for maintenance operations.

Programme for the environmental protection
The HD4 circuit-breakers comply with ISO 14000 Standards
(Guidelines for the Environmental Management).
The production system of the Medium Voltage factories com-
plies for the environmental protection in terms of energy con-
sumption, raw materials and waste.
The environmental impact of the product life cycle is assessed
by the LCA - Life Cycle Assessment procedure, which is also
the result of a well-focused project phase in the selection of
materials, processes and packaging.

Production techniques are carried out in order to achieve an
easy dismantling and separation of the components at the end
of the circuit-breaker life cycle, while optimizing the recycling
process.

2.Checking on receipt
Beforecarryingoutanyoperation,alwaysmakesure
thattheoperatingmechanismdpringsaredischarged
and that the apparatus is in the open position.
On receipt, check the state of the apparatus, that the packing is
undamaged and that the nameplate data corresponds (see fig.
1) with that specified in the order acknowledgement and in the
delivery note.
Also make sure that all the materials described in the shipping
note are included in the supply.
If any damage or irregularity is discovered on unpacking, notify
ABB (directly or through the agent or supplier) as soon as
possible and in any case within five days of receipt.
Theapparatusis onlysuppliedwiththeaccessoriesspecified at
the time of order and confirmed in the order acknowledgement
sent by ABB.
The following accompanying documents are inserted in the
shipping packing:
– Instruction manual (this document)
– Test certificate
– Identification tag
– Fiscal copy of shipping note
– Electrical diagram
These other documents are sent prior to shipment:
– Order acknowledgement
– Original copy of shipping note
– Anydrawingsordocumentsregardingspecialconfigurations/
conditions.
2. Kontroll vid mottagandet
Kontrollera,innannågotsomhelstarbeteutförs,att
manövermekanismensfjäderspänndonärobelastat
och att apparaten är i öppet läge.
Vidmottagandetskaapparatensskickkontrolleras.Kontrollera
att emballaget är oskadat och att uppgifterna på märkplåten
överensstämmer (se fig. 1) med specifikationerna i order-
bekräftelse och följesedel.
Kontrollera också att allt material som upptas på följesedeln
finns med i leveransen.
Om skador eller felaktigheter upptäcks ska ABB meddelas
(direkt eller via återförsäljare eller leverantör) så snart som
möjligt och under alla omständigheter inom fem dagar efter
mottagandet.
Apparaten levereras endast med tillbehör enligt beställnings-
specifikation och orderbekräftelse från ABB.
Nedanstående dokument medföljer i leveransen:
– Instruktionshandbok (detta dokument)
– Certifikat
– ID-märkning
– Kopia av följesedel
– Elektriskt kopplingsschema
Följande dokument har skickats före leveransen:

1. Emballage och transport
Brytaren levereras i specialemballage i öppet läge, med
obelastat fjäderspänndon och med ett absolut poltryck som
motsvarar driftsvärdet.
Varje del av apparaten är inplastad för att förhindra vatten-
infiltrering under lastning och lossning och för att skydda från
damm under magasineringen.
1. Packing and transport
The circuit-breaker is shipped in special packing in the open
position with the springs discharged and with absolute pole
pressure corresponding with the service value.
Eachpieceofapparatusisprotectedbyaplasticfilmtoprevent
anyinfiltrationofwaterduringtheloadingandunloadingstages
and to keep the dust off during storage.

3.Storage
When a period of storage is foreseen, (on request) our work-
shops can provide suitable packing for the specified storage
conditions.
On receipt the apparatus must be carefully unpacked and
checked as described in Checking on receipt (chap. 2).
If immediate installation is not possible, the packing must be
replaced, using the original material supplied.
Inserthygroscopicsubstances inside thepacking,with at least
one standard bag per piece of apparatus.
Should the original packing not be available and immediate
installation is not possible, store in covered, well-ventilated,
dry, dust-free, non-corrosive ambients, away from any flamma-
ble materials and at a temperature between –5 °C and +45 °C.
In any case, avoid any accidental impacts or positioning which
stresses the structure of the apparatus.
3. Magasinering
Om en längre periods magasinering kan förutses kan kunden
beställa lämpligt emballage för olika förhållanden.
Vid leveransen ska apparaten packas upp försiktigt och kon-
trolleras enligt beskrivningen i Kontroll vid mottagandet (kap.
2).
Om apparaten inte omedelbart ska installeras måste den
emballeras på nytt. Använd originalförpackningen.
Lägg ett hygroskopiskt standardpaket per apparat i förpack-
ningen.
Om originalförpackningen inte finns till hands och apparaten
inte kan installeras omedelbart ska den förvaras i ett slutet,
välventilerat, torrt, dammfritt, icke-korrosivt utrymme, ej i när-
heten av brännbart material och vid en temperatur mellan –5
och +45 °C.
Under alla omständigheter måste apparaten förvaras där den
är skyddad från oavsiktliga stötar och belastning på dess
konstruktion.

4. Förflyttning
Kontrollera, innan något som helst arbete utförs, att manöver-
mekanismens fjäderspänndon är obelastat och att apparaten
är i öppet läge.
Effektbrytare upp till 24 kV
– Använd verktyg (1) (fig. 2a: Använd de korta hakarna för
brytare t.o.m. 17,5 kV. Använd alla hakar för brytare fr.o.m.
24 kV) för att lyfta och flytta brytaren.
– Fäst krokarna (2) i avsedda hål i brytarens stativ och lyft.
– När förflyttningen är klar (och under alla omständigheter
innan brytaren tas i drift) ska lyftverktyget (1) (fig. 2b) hakas
loss och tvärstycket (2) monteras bort genom att skruvarna
(3) lossas.
Effektbrytare på 36 kV
– Monteraverktygen (1) förattlyftaochflytta brytaren (fig.2c).
– Fäst krokarna (2) enligt fig. 2d och lyft.
– Ta bort verktygen (1) efter genomfört arbete.
Var alltid försiktig vid förflyttning och belasta inte isolerande
delar och effektbrytarens änduttag.
Apparaten får inte flyttas genom att lyftdon fästs
direkt under själva apparaten.
Omdetändå skullevaranödvändigt måstebrytaren
placeras på ett stadigt underlag (se fig. 3).
4. Handling
Before carrying out any operation, always check that the
operating mechanism springs are discharged and that the
apparatus is in the open position.
Circuit-breakers up to 24 kV
– Tolift and handle the circuit-breaker, use the tool(1) (fig. 2a:
shortesthooksforcircuit-breakersupto17.5kV;allhooksfor
24 kV circuit-breakers).
– Put the hooks (2) in the holes prepared in the circuit-breaker
frame and lift.
– On completion of the operation (and in any case before
putting into service) unhook the lifting tool (1) (fig. 2b) and
dismantle the crosspiece (2) by unscrewing the screws (3).
36 kV circuit-breakers
– Attach the tools (1) to lift and handle the circuit-breaker
(fig. 2c);
– Attach the hooks (2) as illustrated in fig. 2d and lift;
– On completion of the operation, remove the tools (1).
Always take great care during handling not to stress the
insulating parts and the circuit-breaker terminals.
The apparatus must not be handled by inserting
lifting devices directly under the apparatus itself.
Shoulditbenecessarytousethismethod,placethe
circuit-breaker on a sturdy supporting surface (see
fig. 3).

5. Description
5.1. General features
The HD4 series are sulphur hexafluoride circuit-breakers for
indoor installation. For the electrical performance, please refer
to the corresponding technical catalogue code 1VCP000004.
For special installation conditions please ask ABB.
The following versions are available:
– fixed
– withdrawableforCBE,PowerCubeenclosuresandCBFfixed
parts
– withdrawableforswitchgear:UniGeartypeZS1,UniGeartype
ZS2, UniGear type ZS3.2
– withdrawable for switchgear: UniSwitch, UniMix.

5. Beskrivning
5.1. Allmänt
HD4-serien är SF6-brytare avsedda för inomhusinstallation.
Elektriska egenskaper framgår den tekniska katalogen, kod
1VCP000004.
Konsultera ABB vid särskilda installationsförhållanden.
Följande versioner kan väljas:
– fast
– utdragbar brytare till CBE-kapsling, PowerCube och CBF-
kassetter
– utdragbar brytare till ställverk UniGear typ ZS1, ZS2 och
ZS3.2
– utdragbar brytare till ställverk UniSwitch och UniMix.

5.3. Fast effektbrytare
Denfastabrytaren(sefig.4)ärutrustadmedfrontplåtochstativ
i grundutförandet.
Förborrade förankringshål finns i nedre delen av stativet.
Anslutningsplinten, monterad på det övre skyddet, är lättåt-
komlig för anslutning av brytarens hjälpkretsar.
Jordningsskruven är placerad på sidan av brytaren.

5.3. Fixed circuit-breaker
The fixed circuit-breaker (see fig. 4) corresponds to the basic
version complete with a front protection shield and frame.
The anchoring holes are drilled in the lower part of the frame.
The terminal box, fixed on the upper protection, is available for
connection of the circuit-breaker auxiliary circuits.
The earthing screw is located on the circuit-breaker side.

5.4. Withdrawable circuit-breaker
The withdrawable circuit-breakers (see fig. 5) are consist of a
truck on which the supporting structure of the circuit-breaker
itselfisfixed.The cord with the connector (plug)forconnection
of the operating mechanism electrical accessories comes out
of the front protection of the circuit-breaker.
The strikers for activating the contacts (connected/isolated),
locatedintheenclosureorintheswitchgear,arefixedinthetop
part of the circuit-breaker. The slides for activating the segre-
gationshuttersofthemediumvoltagecontactsoftheenclosure
or switchgear are fixed on the sides of the circuit-breaker. The
crosspiece for hooking the circuit-breaker for the connection/
isolation operation by means of the special operating lever is
mounted on the front part of the circuit-breaker truck.
The circuit-breaker is completed with the tulip isolating con-
tacts. The withdrawable circuit-breaker is fitted with special

5.4. Utdragbar effektbrytare
Deutdragbarabrytarna(sefig.5)beståravenkassettpåvilken
brytarens bärande stomme är monterad. De består av en
kassett på vilken brytarens bärande stomme är monterad.
Kabelnmedkontaktdonet(stickpropp)föranslutningavkontroll-
kablaget leds ut genom effektbrytarens frontplåt.
Den mekaniska förregling som aktiverar kontakterna (drift/
frånskiljt) är placerad i kapslingen eller ställverket och monte-
radpåden övre delenavbrytaren.Glidskenornasom aktiverar
medelspänningskontakternas avskiljningsslutare i kapslingen
eller ställverket är monterade på sidan av brytaren.
Tvärstycketförattlyftabrytarenmedensärskildmanöverspak,
isambandmeddrift/frånskiljning,ärmonteratpåbrytarkassett-
ens front.
