Preface
Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing this radio-controlled glass breakage detector. You
made the right decision in choosing this state-of-the-art technology,
which complies with the current standards of domestic and European
regulations. The CE has been proven and all related certifications are
available from the manufacturer upon request.
To maintain this status and to guarantee safe operation, it is your obligation
to observe these operating instructions!In the event of questions, please
contact your local specialist dealer.
This glass breakage detector is used for interior object surveillance. It
monitors the room for noises caused by breaking windows and reports them
to a radio alarm system. It does not react to glass breakage in the centre of
the room, e.g., breaking bottles and glasses.
Read carefully the notes and advice in these operating
instructions! If you do not follow these instructions, your
guarantee claim becomes invalid! We can accept no liability for
the consequences!

Selecting the installation location
The detector has a sensor that monitors the whole room (360°), but it
should not directly face the area to be monitored and is designed for wall
and ceiling mounting.
Optimally, you should install it on the wall opposite the window. The ceiling
or side walls are also suitable.
The best position is approx. 2-3 meters from the window. Maintain a
distance of at least 1.2 meters from other sources of noise (TV, radio, door,

etc.) to avoid possible false alarms. The maximum distance to the window is
6 meters. For security glass (Class A1 to A3, EH01), the distance must not
exceed 3.65 meters.
Do NOT install the detector:
•In rooms with interior window blinds, e.g., made of wood.
•In a corner.
•In rooms with noise insulation.
•In glazed entrance halls, noisy kitchens, garages, workshops,
staircases, bathrooms.
•and other small, noisy rooms.
•Near compressors.
•In damp rooms.
Installation
1. Open the casing by holding the detector base and removing the cover.
2. Screw the base to the desired position on the wall or ceiling (Fig. 1 Pos.
3, 5).
3. Insert the supplied lithium battery (type CR 2 3.0V) and check for
correct polarity.
4. To deactivate the internal LED, connect the jumper to contact LK3 (Fig.
1, Pos. 1) on one pin only.
5. If the green cable is connected to the screw clamp block contact marked
“Alarm”, jumper contact LK1 (Fig. 1, Pos. 2) must be open.

Learning
1. Switch your radio alarm equipment / radio receiver to learn mode.
See the system instructions for advice on this.
2. Radio variant:
Insert a battery in the radio-controlled glass breakage detector (Fig. 1,
Pos. 7). Check for correct polarity.
Hold the tamper protection for the front panel (Pos. 9, Fig.1) and the
wall removal contact down with the finger and release it several time
to trigger radio signals.
IR variant:
Point the LED of the glass breakage detector at the IR receiver of the
radio extension (RFX). Now trigger the tamper contact of the glass
breakage detector.
3. Make sure that the glass breakage sensoris recognised by your radio
alarm equipment / radio receiver and then close the case.
Idle time
The idle time of the detector is set at the factory to one minute. This function
works as follows:
1. The detector registers a noise and signals this to the system. The idle
time now begins.
2. When the idle time expires, the detector can signal the next noise.
Test
You can test the detector by clapping your hands loudly. If the detector
registers the clapping, the LED flashes twice. No alarm is triggered by this
test.
