USER GUIDE
Entering your vehicle
Your new POWER-PULL is designed to make it easier to get up and down the ramp of your lowered floor minivan.
To use the POWER-PULL to go up the ramp, please follow the next few steps:
After you have opened the door, deploy the ramp.
Roll up beside the ramp and pick up the POWER-PULL hooks. You may find it useful to temporarily attach the hooks
to the side of your wheelchair for the next step.
Position yourself in line, in front of the ramp, and place the POWER-PULL hooks onto the solid frame of your
wheelchair; (ie: not onto the removable foot rests) one on either side. NOTE: The length of the straps has been adjusted
by the equipment installer. In a side entry lowered floor minivan, it is normal that one strap attached to the POWER
PULL hook be longer than the other. Always place the longer strap and hook onto the right hand side of your
wheelchair. In a rear entry lowered floor minivan, the straps for the hooks should be the same length. Placing either
hook on either side makes no difference in this application.
Retrieve your remote control, press and hold the IN button until you are all the way into the vehicle. At anytime, during
the ascent you may release the IN button and the POWER-PULL will hold you in place.
Once you are all the way up the ramp and safely into the vehicle, press the RELEASE button and remove the POWER-
PULL straps. Only remove the POWER PULL once there is no chance you will roll down the ramp.

3
FOR YOUR SAFETY
Your POWER-PULL is equipped with several safety features. If you were to accidently hit the RELEASE button while you
are still going up or down the ramp, the POWER-PULL cable will not release. The POWER-PULL is designed to only
release once there is no tension or weight on the cable.
Your POWER-PULL is also equipped with a security feature that prevents it from pulling the wheelchair over obstacles.
The electronic module inside the POWER-PULL monitors the voltage during your usage. If it spikes over 10 amps, the
POWER-PULL will automatically shut off and allow you to remove the obstacle or straighten out your wheelchair, (for
instance: if the obstacle were the side of the ramp) all the while keeping the tension on the cable so you do not roll back.
WARNING
THE POWER-PULL IS NOT A TIE DOWN FOR YOUR WHEELCHAIR AND SHOULD NOT BE LEFT ATTACHED TO THE WHEELCHAIR
DURING TRANSPORTAION. PLEASE USE A PROPER DOCKING SYSTEM FOR YOUR WHEELCHAIR.
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including benzene, which is known to the State of California to
cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

USER GUIDE
Leaving your vehicle
To use your POWER-PULL to get out of your vehicle, follow the next few steps:
Open the vehicle door and deploy the ramp. Position yourself to back down the ramp. For safety reasons, it is strongly
recommended to ALWAYS back down the ramp.
Place the POWER-PULL hooks onto the solid frame of your wheelchair; (ie: not onto the removable foot rests) one
on either side. NOTE: The length of the straps has been adjusted by the equipment installer. In a side entry lowered
floor minivan, it is normal that one strap attached to the POWER PULL hook be longer than the other. Always place
the longer strap and hook onto the right hand side of your wheelchair. In a rear entry lowered floor minivan, the straps
for the hooks should be the same length. Placing either hook on either side makes no difference in this application.
Retrieve your remote control, press and hold the OUT button. NOTE: At any time, you may release the button and the
POWER-PULL will hold you in place.
Once you have completed your descent, press the RELEASE button and unhook the POWER-PULL straps from your
wheelchair.
For a rear entry lowered floor minivan, simply place the POWER-PULL hooks and straps somewhere that will be
accessible upon your return. For a side entry lowered floor minivan, place the POWER-PULL hooks and straps onto
the ramp to allow you to have access to the POWER-PULL when the ramp deploys upon your return to your vehicle.
Use the hook receiver that has been installed onto your ramp.
Stow the ramp and close the door.
