1 Intended use
The DLT-V6210 Industrial PC is a data
communication terminal for the usage in
commercial environments (e.g. logistics,
warehouse, manufacture site). Any other or
additional usage beyond this shall be
deemed as improper usage. The user /
operator of DLT-V6210 is solely responsible
for any resulting damage. This also applies to
any unauthorized modifications made to this
device.
The DLT-V6210 Industrial PC comes with an
integrated Power Adapter with a voltage
range from 9-60 VDC. It is specified with
maximum current of 3.6 A and up to 50 °C
operating temperature.
The DLT-V6210 Industrial PC:
−is not approved to be used in any
EX zone (potential explosion hazard).
−is not approved to be used on ships.
−is not approved to be used in any life-
support system or critical safety system
where system malfunction can lead to
direct or indirect endangerment of human
life.

Indented use includes the following:
−The compliance with all safety
instructions.
−The compliance with the approved
environmental conditions and
specifications for this device.
Approved accessories
Only use accessories that have been tested
and approved by Advantech-DLoG for the
respective DLT-V6210. Otherwise, any DLoG
GmbH warranty for this device will be void.
2 Required qualification
Only qualified and skilled personnel may
transport, store, commission and maintain the
DLT-V6210. Qualified and skilled personnel
referred in these safety instructions are
persons who are familiar with these
processes and have the corresponding
qualifications for their activities, such as:
−Training or instruction in how to switch on
and off, ground, and label power circuits
and devices or systems in accordance
with the current standards for safety
equipment, as well as the required
authorization..
−Training or instruction in how to maintain
and use appropriate safety equipment in
accordance with the current standards for
safety equipment.
−Training in first aid.
Users must be trained / instructed.
Users of the DLT-V6210 must be trained by
skilled personnel and instructed about the
operation of the device.
3 Transport, Storage
WARNING
Risk of injury due to weight and sharp-
edged parts.
DLT-V6210 can fall down and cause injuries
due to its weight. The strain relief rail can
have sharp edges and cause cutting injuries.
Always hold the DLT-V6210 by its
housing with both hands.
Never use the antenna cap as a handle. It
can break due to the weight involved.
Do not hold the DLT-V6210 by the strain
relief rail.
NOTICE: Physical damage
Protecting touchscreens from damage.
Protect touchscreens from sharp edges,
impacts, and heavy objects.
If stacking, do not stack higher than four
devices.
Place devices front-to-front in this case.
The VESA mounting point on the rear
side of the device can damage the
touchscreen of another device.
Use protective material (non-flammable!)
between the devices as a precaution.

4 Commissioning
Required qualification.
Only qualified skilled personnel are permitted
to commission the DLT-V6210.
Observe especially before
commissioning on vehicles
(forklifts etc.)
WARNING
Observe the vehicle manufacturer’s
instructions.
Observe the vehicle manufacturer’s
instructions about the installation of
peripheral devices.
This is particularly important when
welding or drilling load bearing parts.
Observe the manufacturer’s instructions
for connecting additional loads, for
instance, in conjunction with an
emergency shut-off switch.
Be sure that the connection of the power
supply cables is as direct as possible to
the battery and not to power supply
cables with a great deal of interference
(e.g. the motor power supply) or
otherwise affected by consumers.
Please make sure that users' field of
vision is not restricted in a prohibited way
when mounting the DLT-V6210.
Risk of accident due to unstable
attachment of the DLT-V6210.
When installing the DLT-V6210, please
make sure no one will be injured if the
bracket breaks (e.g. because of a stress
fracture).
Alternatively put appropriate safety
measures in place (e.g. install a security
cable in addition to the mounting bracket).
Electrical shock due to insufficient
EMERGENCY shut-off mechanism.
If the EMERGENCY-OFF switch of
application environment does not switch off
the DLT-V6210, there is a risk of causing
electrical shock.
Install the EMERGENCY-OFF switch on
the DLT-V6210 so that the DLT-V6210
will be switched off when the
EMERGENCY-OFF switch is operated.
Observe before commissioning (general
– mobile and stationary use)
WARNING
Hazardous voltage, electrical shock from
contact with live parts.
Do not put the DLT-V6210 into operation
if it is damaged.
Do not open or modify the DLT-V6210.
Only connect or disconnect electrical
connections when the device is in a de-
energized state (electrically dead).
Electrical shock due to lack of
disconnecting device.
The DLT-V6210 is not equipped with
disconnecting devices that are accessible
from the outside; it does not have switches.
To enable the device to be quickly
disconnected from the power supply in
emergency situations:

Install an easily accessible disconnecting
device close to the device.
Make sure that the disconnecting device
disconnects all power supply lines.
To ensure the IP protection: Mount the
cable cover.
Before commissioning, install the supplied
cable cover for external connections.
Observe the information in the “DLT-
V6210 Manual“ and in the “DLT-V6210
Quick Start Guide“.
Radio wave emission in the vicinity of
persons.
To ensure that the limits set for exposure to
radio waves are not exceeded:
Install the DLT-V6210 so that persons
maintain a minimum distance of 20 cm to
the antenna.
Observe the applicable regulations for
your deployment location/country with
regard to frequencies and the maximum
permissible transmitting power.
Responsibility for this lies with the
company operating the DLT-V6210. The
regulatory authorities in the relevant
country can provide information on this.
Electromagnetic radio frequency energy
can interfere with technical devices.
Do not use the DLT-V6210 near
pacemakers.
Before using it please obtain information
about the use of DLT-V6210 within certain
areas (e.g. airports, hospitals, etc.) and
respectively applicable regulations, also
obtain an approval for the operation, if
necessary.
NOTICE: Physical damage
Installation environment without cooling
air can overheat / damage the DLT-V6210.
The DLT-V6210 employs a passive cooling
concept whereby the waste heat generated
inside the device is emitted from the surface
of the housing. For this system to function
properly, sufficient fresh air circulation is
required.
Never install the system in a closed
environment where the cooling air is
unable to dissipate accumulated heat to
the outside.
The maximum permissible ambient
temperature for the entire system needs
to be taken into account for the specific
application area.
Observe the following when connecting /
removing external devices.
Only use accessories that have been
tested and approved by Advantech-DLoG
for the respective DLT-V6210.
The DLT-V6210 may not be connected to
the power supply if external devices are
connected / removed. Otherwise
considerable damage could be caused to
both the DLT-V6210 and the peripheral
devices
Make sure that peripherals with their own
power supply are either switched on at
the same time as the DLT-V6210 or after
the start of DLT-V6210.
Otherwise, you must ensure that a
backflow from the external device to
the DLT-V6210 system cannot take place.
Only power up the DLT-V6210 when all
devices have been connected and
the DLT-V6210 has been closed correctly

(remember the cable cover!). Otherwise,
you may damage the DLT-V6210.
Power supply cable and grounding
WARNING
Electrical shock, fire due to incorrect
cable routing or insufficient grounding.
Use only original Advantech-DLoG power
supply cables; these meet the specific
requirements for low-temperature
flexibility, UV resistance, oil resistance,
etc.
Make sure that the power supply cables
are running without kinks and securely
protected against crushing and abrading.
The DLT-V6210 may only be connected
to a SELV circuit (Safety Extra Low
Voltage).
The DC+ connecting cable must be
protected by a fuse (30 AT max.).
The ignition connecting cable must be
protected by a fuse of the following type:
5x20 mm T 125 mA L / 250 V, for
example, a Wickmann 195-125 mA /
250 V.
Observe correct voltage range.
Ensure that the power supply cables are
fused correctly.
Read the label on the cable and connect
the power supply cable with correct
polarity.
Cut the power supply cable to the
minimum length. This avoids cables
getting tangled and improves the quality
of power supply.
Connect the power supply cable to a
suitable place.
Ensure that the connecting cable has an
adequate cross section and ampacity at
the connection point.
5 Handling, operation
Improper operation can cause damage
and downtime.
Operators of the DLT-V6210 must be trained
for the handling of this device.
WARNING
Risk of accident caused by using the
terminal and driving at the same time.
Do not operate the DLT-V6210 terminal
while driving.
Overvoltage on forklift.
The DLT-V6210 must be disconnected
from the forklift battery while the vehicle
battery is being charged.
Or it must be ensured that the maximum
permitted input voltage of the DLT-V6210
is not exceeded.
NOTICE: Physical damage
Different temperature and air humidity.
If the DLT-V6210 is alternately used between
very different temperature and air humidity
condition, condensation may form on or
within the DLT-V6210.
To prevent damaging the DLT-V6210,
you will need to wait sufficient time for the
moisture to evaporate before using
the DLT-V6210.

Cables
Be sure that nothing rests on power cable
and the cable is not located in where it
can be tripped over or stepped on.
When you disconnect any cable, pull on
its connector or on its strain relief loop.
Do not pull on the cable itself. As you pull
out the connector, keep it evenly aligned
to avoid bending any connector pin.
Also, before you connect any cable,
please make sure that both connectors
are correctly oriented and aligned.
If strain relief is present, it must be used
6 Maintenance
Only the DLT-V6210 manufacturer and its
authorized service centers may:
−Conduct repairs.
−Carry out modifications.
−Replace modules.
−Open the device.
The legal warranty shall apply. It expires if
customer performs measurement on the
device which is only permitted to be
performed by the manufacturer and it’s
authorized Service Centers.
WARNING
On vehicles: Risk of accident due to
unstable attachment of the DLT-V6210;
regular inspection is necessary.
If the attachment of the DLT-V6210 becomes
loose and breaks during operation or
movement, this can lead to severe accidents.
Regularly check whether the DLT-V6210
is firmly seated in the associated holder
(RAM mount, mounting bracket) and the
mounting screws are not loose.
Check whether all connected cables are
secured and the cable cover shuts tightly.
A regular inspection and maintenance of
the entire system is necessary.
Hazardous voltage, electrical shock from
contact with live parts when cleaning.
To prevent electrical shock while cleaning the
device:
Switch off the DLT-V6210 before
cleaning.
Disconnect the DLT-V6210 from power
supply.
Disconnect all accessories which are in
connection with the DLT-V6210.
NOTICE: Physical
damage
Cleaning the touchscreen and housing
Clean the housing with a damp cloth.
Wipe off the touchscreen using a soft, lint-
free cloth; use a neutral glass cleaner
(that does not contain ammonia or
isopropyl alcohol) and apply it to the cloth;
do not apply directly to the touchscreen.
Never use chemical solvents to clean the
touchscreen.
Do not use acidic or alkaline solutions.
Opening of the antenna cap to gain
access to the CFast, e.g. for software
updates.
Open the antenna cap carefully.
Pull the antenna cap straightly upwards,
otherwise you might damage the Wi-Fi
unit.

The antenna cap may only remain open
for the duration of the service work.
No objects or liquids may enter the
opened DLT-V6210 during this.
Only when the antenna cap is properly
closed again operation may be resumed;
the protection class/category is only
ensured again after doing so.

traffic. If you don‘t install and use this device
by following the instructions, interferences
under certain installation conditions cannot
be excluded. If this device does cause
interference to radio or television reception,
which can be determined by turning the
device on and off, the user/operator is
encouraged to try to correct the interference

Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the distance between the device
and the receiver.
Connect the main plug of the device to a
different power circuit than the one which
the receiver is already connected to.
Contact the dealer or an experienced
