3.1Transient VoltageSurge Suppression (TVSS) and EMI/FRI Filters
TheseUPScomponentsprovide surge protection and filter bothelectromagnetic
interference(EMI)andradiofrequencyinterference(RFI).Theyminimizeanysurge or
interferencepresentinthe utility line and keep the sensitiveequipment protected.
3.2Rectifier/PowerFactorCorrection (PFC) Circuit
Innormaloperation, the rectifier/powerfactor correction (PFC) circuitconvertsutilityAC
powertoregulated DC power for useby the inverter whileensuring thatthe waveformofthe
input currentusedbytheUPS isnear ideal.Extractingthissinewaveinputcurrentachieves
twoobjects:
lThe utilitypower is used as efficiencyaspossiblebytheUPS.
lThe amountofdistortionreflected on the utilityis reduced.
Thisresultsincleaner power beingavailabletoother devicesinthe building notbeing
protected bythe UPS.
3.3Inverter
Innormaloperation, the inverter utilizethe DC outputofthe powerfactor correction
circuitandinvertersitintoprecise,regulated sinewaveACpower.Upon autilitypower
failure, the inverter receivesitsrequired energyfromthe batterythrough the DC-to-DC
converter.Inbothmodesofoperation,theUPSinverter ison-line and continuously
generating clean,precise,regulatedACoutput power.

3.4BatteryCharger
The batterycharger utilizesenergyfromthe utilitypower and preciselyregulatesitto
continuouslyfloatchargethebatteries.Thebatteriesare beingcharged wheneverthe UPS
isconnected toutilitypower.
3.5DC-to-DC Converter
The DC-to-DC converter utilizesenergyfromthe batterysystemand raisesthe DC

circuit whichisalsousedasPFC.
3.6Battery
The 6K/10KStandard include value-regulated,non-spillable,lead acidbatteriesinside.
Tomaintainbatterydesign life,operatethe UPSinanambienttemperature of 15-25°C.
3.7DynamicBypass
The UPS providesanalternatepathfor utilitypower totheconnectedloadinthe
unlikely eventofaUPSmalfunction.Shouldthe UPS havean overload, over temperature or
anyother failure condition, the UPS automaticallytransfersthe connected load tobypass.
Bypassoperation isindicated byan audiblealarmand illuminatedamber BypassLED.To

withapplicablesafetyregulations.
NOTICE UPSoperation insustained temperature outside the rangeof15-25°C(59°-77°F)
reduces batterylife.
5.1Unpackingand Inspection
1) Unpackthe packagingand checkthepackage contents. Theshipping package contains:
●1UPS
●1user manual
●2connectors red andwhite)forbatterywith4contacts (6KLand10KL)
●2cableentryprotector (6K and 10K)
2) Inspect the appearanceofthe UPS tosee ifthere isanydamageduring transportation.
Do notturn onthe unitandnotify the carrier anddealer immediatelyifthere isany
damageor lackingofsomeparts.
5.2Connect Input/Output Power
1. Notes forinstallation
1) The UPSmustbeinstalled inalocationwithgood ventilation, far awayfromwater,
inflammablegas and corrosiveagents.
2) Ensure theairvents on the front and rear of the UPS are notblocked. Allowat least
0.5mofspaceon eachside.
3) Condensation towater dropsmayoccur iftheUPS isunpackedinaverylow
temperature environment.Inthiscaseitisnecessarytowaituntilthe UPSisfully
dried inside outbefore proceeding installation anduse.Otherwisethere are hazards
of electricshock.
2. Installation
Installationand wiring mustbe performedinaccordancewiththelocalelectriccode and
the following instructions byprofessionalpersonnel.
For safety, pleasecutoff the mainspower switchbefore installation.Open the battery
