SAFETY
Important! Disconnect the mains electricity supply before
attempting any installation / maintenance of any kind.
All connections must be earthed.
Do not connect to any voltage other than that stated.
Do not use with any liquids other than water.
Do not use with water above 90°F or 30°C.
Please note: This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
ELECTRIC
The external filter comes complete with a generous supply of 3 core
cable, however, should any additional cable be required then the use
of an approved waterproof cable connector is essential.
Please Ensure:
The power supply must be earthed and fused at 3amps.
Regularly inspect the cable for damage and deterioration.
Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt about any aspects of wiring.
The external filter should never be run dry as this will cause the unit
to overheat and cause permanent damage.
Do not attempt to modify this unit in any way and only use the
recommended parts for replacement.

INSTALLATION AND USE
To open the unit, unfasten the 2 buckles that are situated at the
front and back of the filter then lift the 2 levers that are attached to
the left and right sides of the motor head. On doing this the motor
head will lift away from the unit.
Take out the filter media secure plate and pull out the filter media
baskets using the handles provided. Using the baskets, rinse your
filter media under the tap until it runs clear. Once you have done
this you should place the baskets with filter media back inside the
filter with the filter media secure plate at the top. Before replacing

the motor head on the filter, fill your filter / full with water from

your aquarium. Place the motor head back on top of the unit, shut
both of the motor head levers down and fasten the buckles to the
side of the filter.
To attach the provided hoses to the filter, remove the hose adapter
by lifting the hose adapter securing buckle and pulling the adapter
out of the motor head. Install your hoses onto the Inlet and Outlet
connections on the hose adapter and secure them into place
using the plastic screw nuts. Push the hose adapter back into the
motor head and re-fasten it using the securing buckle.
Fit your hose to your aquarium so as the inlet hose is fitted to the
overflow pipe and the outlet hose is fitted to the spray bar as per
the image opposite. Please ensure your aquarium water level is
high enough to cover all inlet and outlet pipework connection
points, as otherwise you can let air into the filter system which will
stop it from priming properly.
Once you have your filter in place and its hoses securely attached
to your aquarium you are ready to prime the filter. Using the palm
of your hand, push the blue button directly on top of the motor
head as far down as it will allow you to and repeat if necessary
until the output hose has filled with water. You are now ready to
plug your external filter in.

MAINTENANCE
We recommend that a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule is
followed to ensure responsible fishkeeping. Depending on water volume
and stocking levels, regular cleaning of the filter media, foams, impeller,
inlet/outlet pipework during a 10-25% water change will help ensure that
the product works efficiently and the aquarium remains healthy.
Impeller and shaft
Filter maintenance
In general it is recommended to disconnect your filter and clean the pipes,
impeller and filter media monthly. This of course will depend on a lot of
factors like how dirty the water is when you first start using an external filter,
the volume of your water and also how many fish you have. How often you
feed your fish and how long your lighting is on for will also affect how quickly
your aquarium water gets dirty and will need to be taken into consideration
when planning how often to clean your external filter.
Filter media
The suggested filter media order is ceramic rings at the bottom, bio balls in
the middle and active carbon at the top with one biochemical cotton in each
tray. Please remember to change your activated carbon at least every 2-3
months as after this time it is possible that the carbon can have a negative
effect on your aquarium as the very waste it removes can be released from
the carbon back into the aquarium. The best time to rinse your bio balls and
ceramic rings through is when doing a 10/20% water change as you can use
this water to wash the media through.
To gain access and clean your impeller and shaft open up
the filter (disconnect the pipes and turn the filter off). You
should be able to then see the impeller through an impeller
guard in the middle of the motor head. Turn the impeller
guard and pull it away and out of the motor head - you will
then have full access to the impeller and shaft.
Simply wash this and clean this with your aquarium water (from a water
change) - whilst doing this you will be able to check that the impeller and
shaft are both in good condition. When returning this to the motor head
ensure this is seated correctly with the two rubbers on either end of the shaft
(sometimes the rubbers stay in the holes that they fit into and will not be
obviously evident when first removing the impeller and shaft).
Note: Handle the ceramic shaft with care as this can break very
easily during the cleaning process.

TROUBLESHOOTING
No filter operation / water flow
Always ensure the power has been turned on.
Check that your impeller and shaft are seated correctly and not damaged
in any way.
Ensure the impeller is free of any type of blockage and can rotate freely
inside the motor head.

Self priming and air pocket problems
Ensure you have set up the filter on your tank with all of the pipes
connecting straight from the top of the tank directly to your filter without
having any kinks and as little bends as possible.
Check that you have connected the hose connector valve correctly to the
unit by fully pushing down the lever.
All of your entrance pipework must have its connections beneath water
level to ensure that no air bubbles are able to enter the system.
If you have purchased extra filter media on top of what is supplied with the
unit be careful not to overfill the unit as this can affect its priming and
filtering capabilities.
If you needed to press the blue button more than once when first priming
the filter we suggest that you should prime the filter from scratch again
following the above tips. The most important thing is that you are not
letting any air into your filter system as this will affect the priming of the
filter as well as the long term operation of your filter.

Noisy operation
Check that your impeller and shaft are seated correctly and not damaged
in any way.
Ensure the impeller is free of any type of blockage and can rotate freely
inside the motor head.
Air could be trapped inside the filter – please resolve by following the
‘Self priming and air pocket problems’ troubleshooting section.

Inhibited water flow
Ensure that your hoses have been correctly joined together as per the
‘parts list’.
Check your hoses for waste build up as blockages will slow your flow rate.
Your filter media may be blocked / clogged and washing this through when
completing a water change will allow better water flow.

une surchauffe de l'appareil et causera des dommages permanents.
N’essayez pas de modifié cet appareil d’aucune sorte et utilisez
uniquement les pièces recommandées pour le remplacement.

INSTALLATION AND USE
Pour ouvrir le filtre détachez les quatre boucles de la tête et du
corps. Séparez la tête du filtre du corps de filtre.
Tirez la plaque fixe des matériaux et paniers de filtration. Bien
laver tous les matériaux filtrants jusqu'à ce que l'eau soit claire.
Remettez paniers de filtration avec matériaux filtrantes et la
plaque fixe des matériaux au-dessus. Remplissez le filtre
extérieur avec de l'eau d'aquarium. Remontez la tête de filtre sur
le corps du filtre et assurez-vous bien que tous les quatre clips de
tête et du corps soient solidement fermés.
Pour attacher le tuyau à la tête du filtre, tirez vers le haut la
poignée du robinet et enlevez le robinet. Mettez les tuyaux sur les
connections entrée et sortie et assurez-vous que les tuyaux sont
bien en place en utilisant les vis en plastique. Poussez le robinet
dans l'espace tête du robinet, fixez le robinet en place en utilisant
la poignée du robinet.
Installez le tuyau à tel manière que le tuyau d'entrée soit connecté
au tuyau de débordement et le tuyau de sortie soit connecté à la
barre de pulvérisation. Assurez-vous que votre tuyauterie a une
configuration similaire au schéma de montage. Assurez-vous que
le niveau d'eau est au-dessus de connections de tuyauterie
autrement l'air puisse entrer au système du filtre et causer les
problèmes d'amorçage.

ENTRETIEN
Nous recommandons un entretien régulier et un programme de nettoyage
suivi pour assurer une aquariophilie responsable. Selon le volume de l'eau
et les niveaux de stocks, le nettoyage régulier des agents filtrants, des
mousses, de la roue, de la tuyauterie d'entrée / sortie lors d'un changement
de l'eau de 10 à 25% aideront à optimiser l'efficacité de votre filtre et à
garder votre aquarium propre et sain.
La pompe et la tige
Entretien du filtre
En générale il est recommandé à nettoyer votre filtre, tuyauterie, tige et
matériaux filtrantes chaque mois. Bien sûr, cela dépendra de nombreux
facteurs comme la quantité d'eau lorsque vous commencez à utiliser un filtre
externe, le volume d'eau et le nombre de poissons que vous avez. À quelle
fréquence vous nourrissez votre poisson et pendant combien de temps votre
éclairage est activé, cela affectera la fréquence de nettoyage de votre filtre
externe.
Filter media
Nous vous recommandons d'installer les matériaux de filtration fournie dans
l'ordre suivant: bagues en céramique dans le panier inférieur, boules bio
dans le panier moyen et charbon actif dans le panier supérieur. Veuillez se
rappeler de remplacer le charbon actif au moins tous les 2 à 3 mois, après
cette période, il est possible que le carbone puisse avoir un effet négatif sur
votre aquarium car les déchets qu'il enlève peut être libéré du carbone dans
l'aquarium. Le meilleur moment pour rincer les balles biologiques et bagues
en céramique est lorsque vous faites le changement d'eau de 10-20% car
vous pouvez utiliser cette l’eau pour laver les matériaux.
Pour accéder à la pompe et la tige vous devez ouvrir le filtre
(débrancher la tuyauterie et arrêter le filtre). Vous devriez
pouvoir alors voir la pompe à travers une protection de
pompe au milieu de la tête du filtre. Dévisser et enlever le
bouchon de la pompe située sur le dessous de la tête du
filtre et retirer doucement la pompe et la tige.
Nettoyez-les avec l'eau de votre aquarium (le reste du changement d'eau) -
vérifiez l'état de la roue et de l'arbre. Assurez-vous que les caoutchoucs de
l'arbre sont en place aux deux extrémités (parfois, les caoutchoucs restent
dans les trous auxquels ils se placent et cela ne sera pas évident lors du
premier retrait de la pompe et de la tige).
Remarque: manipulez l'arbre céramique avec soin, car cela peut se
briser très facilement pendant le processus de nettoyage.

DÉPANNAGE

Vérifiez que la roue est correctement installée, en bon état.
Vérifiez que la roue n'est pas bloquée et peut tourner librement.

Problèmes d'amorçage
Assurez-vous que vous avez installé le filtre avec tous les tuyaux qui se
connectent du haut du réservoir directement à votre filtre sans avoir de
torches et aussi peu de pli que possible.
Vérifiez que l'entrée / sortie du robinet est correctement installé
(levier vers le bas).
Le niveau d'eau est au-dessus du connections de tuyauterie et l'air ne
puisse pas entrer au système du filtre.
Si vous avez acheté un média filtrant supplémentaire en plus de ce qui
est fourni avec l'appareil, veillez à ne pas trop remplir l'unité car cela peut
affecter ses capacités d'amorçage et de filtrage.
Si vous aviez besoin d'appuyer sur le bouton bleu plus qu'une fois lors du
premier amorçage du filtre, nous vous suggérons de relancer le filtre à
l'aide des conseils ci-dessus. La chose la plus importante est que vous ne
laissez pas d'air dans votre système de filtrage car cela affectera
l'amorçage du filtre ainsi que le fonctionnement.

Bruit excessif
Vérifiez que la roue est correctement installée, en bon état.
Vérifiez que la roue n'est pas bloquée et peut tourner librement.
L'air pourrait être piégé à l'intérieur du filtre - résolvez en suivant la section
de dépannage "Problèmes d'amorçage".

Débit d'eau restreint
Assurez-vous que la tuyauterie a une configuration similaire au schéma
de montage.
Vérifier toute la tuyauterie pour une accumulation de déchets restrictive.
Votre matériaux filtration peut être bloquée / bouchée et laver cette
solution lors de la réalisation d'un changement d'eau permettra un

SICUREZZA

Nota bene: Questo prodotto può essere utilizzato da bambini di età
superiore a 8 anni e da persone con disabilità fisiche, sensoriali,
mentali, da quelle con poca esperienza e conoscenza dello strumento,
sotto supervisione e istruzione dell’uso sicuro e dei pericoli ad esso
collegati.
Tenere fuori dalla portata dei bambini. La pulizia e la manutenzione
non dovrebbero essere condotte da bambini non supervisionati.
COMPONENTI ELETTRICHE
Il filtro esterno è dotato già nella confezione di ben 3 prese multi
polari, tuttavia, se fossero richieste altre prese, è essenziale l’uso di
prese elettriche impermeabili.
Assicurarsi che:
Il filtro esterno non dovrebbe mai funzionare a secco, poiché si
surriscalderà e provocherà danni permanenti.
Non provare a modificare questo prodotto e utilizzi unicamente le
parti consigliate nel rimpiazzamento.
Tutte le connessioni devono essere messe a terra.
Non connettere a voltaggi differenti da quelli indicati. Non usare
liquidi diversi dall'acqua.
Non usare acqua di grado superiore ai 90°F / 30°C.
La corrente elettrica sia a terra e fissata alla soglia dei 3 amps.
Ispezionare regolarmente il cavo per controllarne danni e
deterioramento.
Consulta un elettricista qualificato se in dubbio su qualsiasi aspetto
della connessione.

INSTALLAZIONE E UTILIZZO
Per aprire l’unità, scollegare le 2 fibbie situate di fronte e sul retro
del filtro, poi sollevare le 2 leve collegate a sinistra e a destra della
testa del motore. Durante questa operazione, la testa del motore
si solleverà dall’unità.
Tira fuori il piatto di sicurezza del filtro ed estrai i cestini del filtro
utilizzando le maniglie in dotazione. Con i cestini, risciacqua il
filtro sotto il rubinetto finché l’acqua non scorre pulita. Una volta
fatto, puoi riposizionare i cestini del filtro all’interno del filtro, e
quest’ultimo nella posizione precedente con il piatto di sicurezza
al di sopra. Prima di riposizionare la testa del motore, riempi il
filtro a 3/4 con acqua del tuo acquario. Posiziona la testa del
motore in cima all’unità, aggancia le leve del motore in basso e
collega le fibbie ai lati del filtro.
Per collegare al filtro i tubi in dotazione, rimuovi l’adattatore del
tubo sollevando la fibbia di sicurezza dell’adattatore stesso e tira
fuori l’adattatore dalla testa del motore. Installa i tuoi tubi nelle
valvole di immissione ed emissione (Inlet / Outlet) e assicurali
nella posizione attraverso le viti di plastica. Spingi l’adattatore del
tubo all’interno della testa del motore e ri-aggancialo attraverso la
fibbia di sicurezza.
Aggiusta il tubo nel tuo acquario così che il tubo d’immissione sia
adeguato al flusso, e che il tubo di emissione sia collegato allo
spray bar (tubo rigido con buchi a distanza prefissata), così come
mostrato in figura. Assicurati che il livello dell’acqua nel tuo
acquario sia alto abbastanza da coprire tutti i punti di connessione
in entrata e uscita, poiché altrimenti l’aria potrebbe entrare nel
sistema di filtraggio e gli impedirà di funzionare normalmente.
Una volta che il filtro è in posizione e i suoi tubi sono ad esso
collegati, premi il bottone blu posizionato al di sopra della testa
del motore più in basso che puoi, e ripeti la procedura finché il
tubo di emissione si è riempito d’acqua. Ora sei pronto per
collegare il tuo filtro esterno.

MANUTENZIONE
Raccomandiamo una regolare e costante pulizia, per assicurare un’adeguata
conservazione dei pesci. A seconda del volume e dello stoccaggio dell’acqua,
una pulizia regolare del filtro, dei filtri in gomma, delle turbine, dei tubi di
immissione/emissione durante un cambio d’acqua del 10-25%, per fare in
modo che il prodotto lavori efficientemente e l’acquario resti in salute.
Turbina e condotto
Manutenzione del filtro
In generale, si raccomanda di disconnettere il filtro e pulire i tubi, le turbine
e il filtro mensilmente. Ciò ovviamente dipende da molti fattori, come ad
esempio quanto è sporca l’acqua quando si inizia ad utilizzare il filtro,
il volume dell’acqua e anche quanti pesci ci sono. Va altresì preso in
considerazione, nel pianificare quanto spesso pulire il filtro, quanto spesso
vengono nutriti I pesci e quanto a lungo la luce è accesa, poiché ciò
influenzerà la velocità con cui l’acqua si sporcherà.
Filtro
L’ordine consigliato per gli elementi del filtro è: anelli di ceramica in fondo,
bio-sfere al centro e carbone attivo in cima con un cotone biochimico in ogni
vassoio. Ricorda di cambiare il tuo carbone attivo almeno ogni 2-3 mesi,
poiché dopo questo tempo è possibile che il carbone abbia effetti negativi
sul tuo acquario, perché lo sporco che rimuove può essere rilasciato dal
carbone attivo all’interno dell’acquario. Il tempo migliore per risciacquare le
tue bio-sfere e gli anelli di ceramica è quando si è al 10-20% di ricambio
d’acqua, così che tu possa usare l’acqua dell’acqua per pulire ogni elemento.
Per accedere alla turbina e al condotto per pulirli, apri il
filtro (scollega I tubi e spegni il filtro). Dovresti vedere la
turbina attraverso un copri-turbina al centro della testa del
motore. Gira il copri-turbina e tiralo fuori dalla testa del
motore – avrai adesso pieno accesso alla turbina e al
condotto.
Lavali e puliscili con l’acqua del tuo acquario – nel mentre, controlla che sia
la turbina che il condotto siano in buone condizioni. Nel riposizionarlo nel
motore, assicurati che siano messi correttamente con le gommine in
entrambe le estremità del condotto (a volte le gommine rimangono nei
buchi per i quali sono predisposti, e non saranno subito visibili la prima
volta che verranno rimossi la turbina e il condotto).
Nota: Maneggia il condotto in ceramica con cura, poiché si può
rompere facilmente durante la procedura di pulizia.

RISOLUZIONE PROBLEMI
Nessun filtraggio / flusso dell’acqua
Assicurati sempre che il filtro sia acceso.
Controlla che la turbina e il condotto siano posizionati correttamente e non
danneggiati in nessun modo.

Auto-adesco e problemi dell'intercapedine
Assicurati di aver messo il filtro nell’acquario con tutti I tubi connessi in
ogni posizione evitando il più possibile le pieghe.
Controlla di aver inserito correttamente la valvola connettore del tubo
all’unità spingendo in basso la leva.
Tutti i tubi di immissione devono essere connessi al di sotto del livello
dell’acqua per far si che nessuna bolla d’aria entri nel sistema.
Se hai comprato un filtro ulteriore rispetto a quello già fornito nel prodotto,
stai attento a non sovraccaricare l’unità poiché può infierire sulle sue
capacità adescanti e di filtraggio.
Se hai avuto bisogno di premere più volte il pulsante blu durante la prima
installazione del filtro, ti suggeriamo di reinstallare una seconda volta il
filtro seguendo le istruzioni di cui sopra. La cosa più importante è che non
entri aria nel filtro, poiché ciò infierirà sul sistema di adesco del filtro così
come tutte le operazioni a lungo termine.

Operazione rumorosa
Controlla che la turbina e il condotto siano posizionati correttamente e
non danneggiati in nessun modo.
Assicurati che la turbina sia libera da ogni tipo di intralcio e possa ruotare
liberamente all’interno della testa del motore.
Dell’aria potrebbe essere intrappolata all’interno del filtro – risolvi
attraverso la sezione “auto-adesco e problemi dell’intercapedine”.

Flusso dell’acqua interrotto
Assicurati che i tubi siano collegati correttamente così come nel
“diagramma delle parti”.
Controlla che non vi sia dello sporco nei tubi che intralcino il flusso
dell’acqua.
Il tuo filtro potrebbe essere bloccato / intasato, e lavarlo durante un
ricambio dell’acqua dovrebbe permettere all’acqua di rifluire di nuovo.

El filtro externo nunca deberá de funcionar sin agua, ya que esto
provocará que la unidad se sobrecaliente, causando daño
permanente.
No intente modificar esta unidad de ninguna manera y solo utilice
las partes recomendadas para reemplazo.
Todas las conexiones deben conectarse a tierra.
No conecte a ningún voltaje más que al indicado. No use con
líquidos que no sean agua.
No use con agua por encima de 90°F o 30°C.
ELÉCTRICO
El filtro externo incluye un suministro generoso de cable de 3 núcleos,
pero, si se requiere de cable adicional, es esencial el uso de un
conector de cable resistente al agua aprobado.
Por favor asegúrese:
La fuente de poder debe conectarse a tierra y con fusible de 3amps.
Examine regularmente el cable por daño y deterioro.
Consulte con un electricista calificado si tiene duda de algún
aspecto del cableado.
Por favor considere: Este aparato puede ser usado por niños de
8 años en adelante y por personas con capacidades físicas,
sensoriales o mentales reducidas, o que carecen de experiencia
y conocimiento si se les supervisa o instruyen respecto al uso de
