IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE RETAIN THIS USER GUIDE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock,
and injury to persons, including the following:
1) Read all instructions before using this fireplace
2) The fireplace is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep
combustible material such as furniture, cushions, bedding, paper, clothes, curtains at least 3 feet from
the front of the unit
3) Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used near children and whenever the unit is left
operating and unattended
4) Do not operate a fireplace with a damaged cord or plug, or if the heater has malfunctioned, the
fireplace has dropped or damaged in any manner
5) Not all fireplaces are suitable for use in bathrooms or laundry facilities. Please consult with individual
product literature to confirm suitability
6) Do not run the cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange
the cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over
7) Do not modify this fireplace. Use it as described in the manual. Any other use not recommended by
the manufacture may cause fire, shock or injury to persons
8) Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer, separate remote-control system or any other device
that switches the heater on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned
incorrectly
9) Disconnect all power supply before cleaning, maintenance or relocation of the fireplace
10) Keep the heater clean. Do not allow any objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this
may cause electric shock, fire or damage to the heater
11) Do not immerse the cord, plug or any part of the appliance in water or any other li uid
12) In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must
not be supplied through an external switching device

Thisapplianceisforuseon 120Volts.Thecordhasaplugasshownin(A).Anadapteras
shownin(C)isavailableforconnectingthree-bladegroundingtypeplugstotwo-slot
receptacles.The greengrounding lug extending fromthe adaptermustbe connected toa
permanentgroundsuchasaproperlygroundedoutletbox.The adaptershouldnot be used if
athree-slot grounded receptacleisavailable.
Todisconnectappliance, turncontrolstooff, then remove plug from outlet.
LOCATINGTHEFIREPLACE
Plan wheretolocateand framethe fireplace.Thiswillsavetimeand moneylaterwhen you
installthefireplace. Beforeinstallation considerthe following:
1.Wherethe fireplaceislocatedmust allowforwall andceiling clearances
2.Consideralocation wherethefireplacescreenwill notbeexposed todirectsunlightfrom
windowsordoors.
Carefully remove the appliance from the box.
Prior to installing the appliance, test to make sure the appliance operates properly by
plugging the power supply cord into a 120 Volt grounded outlet.
Test all aspects of its operation (manual switches, remote and heater) to make sure all
components are operating correctly.
NOTE: There may be trace f d r during the first few minutes f initial use. This is
harmless, n rmal and will never ccur again.
As with most electronic devices, your new electric fireplace has been designed to operate at
temperatures between 5 ℃ (41℉) and 35 ℃ (95℉). During the cold winter months, allow the
fireplace to reach room temperature before turning it on.
3. A15 ampere,120 Volt, 60 Hzbranchcircuitwithproperground mustbe availableatthe
location.Preferablyadedicated branchcircuitshouldbe provided toavoidcircuit
breakerstotripof fusestoblow.

INSTALLATION BUILT-IN
The fireplacemaybe placed withinaframedenclosurethatislevel,dryand capableof
supportingthe weight of theapplianceand front glass. It maybe placed directlyon wood ora
non-combustiblesurface(noton linoleumorcarpet).
The side and back must maintain 1”(25.4mm) clearance to any material. The top must
maintain a 3/8” (1 mm) clearance to any material.
Ensure clearances to combustibles are maintained when building a mantel or shelves above
the appliance. Elevated temperatures on the wall or in the air above the appliance can cause
melting, discolorations or damage to decorations, a TV set or other electronic devices.

HARD-WIREINSTALLATION
Turnoff the appliancecompletelyand let coolbeforeservicing. Onlyaqualified service
person shouldserviceandrepairthiselectricappliance.
If itisnecessarytohard-wirethisappliance, aqualified electrician must removethe cord
connection,and wirethe appliancedirectlytothe householdwiring.
Thisappliancemustbe electricallyconnected and groundedinaccordancewithlocalcodes,
ifhard-wired.Inthe absenceoflocalcodes,usethecurrentCSA C22.1CANADIAN
ELECTRICALCODEinCanada orthe currentANSI/NFPA 70 NATIONALELECTRICAL
CODEinthe United States.
1.Removethe coverplatefromthe leftside oftheappliancebyremovingthetwoscrews,as
shownbelow. Unscrewand removepowercord.
3.Return the cover plate to the left side and screw the two screws back in to fasten the plate.
2. Attachthewiringtothejunctionblock.Pleasemakesurethelivewiregoesintothe “L”,the
neutral wireinto “N”and thegroundwireinto “G”.

can decorate their fireplace according to their wishes with supplied media.

Plugthefireplaceintoa15 Amp wall socket.
MANUAL OPERATION
1. ThemainpowerON/OFFswitchinpositionO,thefireplaceis OFF.
2. WhenmainpowerON/OFF switchis at position I,thefireplaceis readyto use.
3. Press the buttonrepeatedlytosettheheatertodesiredheatsetting.Theheaterindicator
LED will glowwhichshowsthecurrent heatersettings.

AUTO MODE
Underthis modetheheaterwill automaticallyturnONathighheatsetting1500Wheatoutputwhen
theroomtemperature dropsbelow22 (72℉). Whentheroomtemperatureis between
22-25 (72-77℉)theheateroutput will switchtolowheatsetting750W.Whentheroom
temperature goesabove25 (77℉)theheaterwill beturnedoff andthecyclewill continue.The
LED indicatorwill bePURPLEincolourunderthis mode.
4. Flameeffect:Press thebuttonmarked toadjusttheflamebrightness.Theflamebrightness
will cyclethrough –Low-Medium-High-OFF.
5. Moodlight effect:Press thebuttonmarked to changethemoodlight colour.
NOTE: IfoperatedattheLowheatsetting,thefireplacewill notprovideasmuchheatoutputasin
theHighheatsetting,howeverthelowsettingwill notrequireasmuchelectrical powertooperate.
Toavoidoverloadingacircuit,donotplugthefireplaceintoacircuitthatalreadyhasother
appliancesworking.When thefireplaceis not in useswitchoff andunplug.
SAFETYCUT-OFF
lThis applianceis fittedwith asafetycut-offwhichwill operateifthefireplaceoverheats(eg.Due
toblockedairvents). Forsafetyreasons, thefireplacewill NOT automaticallyreset.
lToresettheappliance,disconnecttheappliancefromthemainsupplyforatleast10 minutes.
Reconnectthesupplytothemainand switchontheappliance.

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION
Forremotetofunctionmakesure theheaterispluggedinandmainpowerswitchlocatedonthe
bottomleft handsideis at position I.
Whenoperatingtheremotemakesureyoupointtheremotetothecentreofthefireplaceand make
sure eachtimeyoupressthebuttonthebuzzerinsidetheunitwill beeponce.Ittakessometimefor
thereceivertorespondtothetransmitter.DonotPRESS thebuttonsmorethanoncewithintwo
secondsforcorrectoperation.
Poweron button:Thepower-onbuttonattopleftcorneroftheremoteis themainON/OFF
powerbutton.This will turnoff all thefunctionsand thefireplacewill bein standbymode.
DISPLAYON/OFF button:SwitchingthefireplaceflameandtraylightON/OFF.Ithasfunctionsof
settingmemory.
DISPLAYBLUE button:Adjust the blue colorbrightness offlameandtray.
DISPLAYYELLOWbutton:Adjust theyellowcolorbrightness offlameandtray.
DISPLAYORANGE button:Adjust theorangecolorbrightness offlameandtray.
HEATERON/OFF button: Switchingthe heaterON/OFF. It hasfunctionsof settingmemory.
HIGHTbutton: Press the highbutton toswitchtheheatertohighheat setting1500W.
LOWbutton: Press thelowbuttontoswitchthe heatertolowheat setting750W.
TEMP. button: Press the TEMP.buttontoswitchtheheatertoAUTO mode.Underthismode
the heaterwill operateinsimilarwayasexplained aboveforthemanualoperation.
MOOD LIGHT ON/OFF button: Switching the mood light ON/OFF.
ADJUST button: Switching the color of the mood light.
FLASH button: Switching the mood light into flash mode, this cycles through all mood light
colors.

1. Turn off circuit breaker.
2. Remove cover plate located on the rear upper left side of the appliance.
3. Pull the wire out and cut the inside thermostat. Connect the wires to the wall thermostat
as shown below. Follow the instructions provided with wall swtich kit.
