3 PRESENTATION
TheMaxibenchdowndratableisaself-contained,intermient-dutydustcollector,designedasa
workstaonforgrinding,polishing,handsandinganddrybungapplicaons.
Direct-drive,fanprovides200fpmminimumfacevelocityacrossthepunchedsteelworksurface
designedtoholdupto50-lbpersquarefoot.Hingedsidepanelsopentoaccommodatelargerwork
piecesandmanuallyoperatedpulsecleaningallowson-demandltercleaning.

weldfume,orammablecoolantsorsolventsrepresentpotenalre
and/orexplosionhazards.Usespecialcarewhenselecng,installing,
andoperangalldust,fume,ormistcolleconequipmentwhensuch

fromdirectlyimpingingwiththelter,reducingtheriskoflterdamage.

Removecratesandshipping straps.Remove loosecomponents andaccessory packages
beforeliingunitfromtruck.
Checkforhardwarethatmayhaveloosenedduringshipping.
Usecauonremovingtemporarycovers.
Theunitshouldbelocatedonasecure,levelsurfacecapableofsupporngtheweightoftheunit
andtheweightofmaterialsplacedontheunit.
TheMAXIBENCHisaself-containedunitandrequiresnospecialinstallaonaccommodaons.
WARNING!
Theelectricalconneconmustbeperformedbyacered
electricianandbyfollowingthelocalbuildingrulesand
regulaons.Forsafetymeasure,disconnectallelectrical
powerpriortoinstallaon.
Maketheelectricalconneconstothecustomersuppliedsafetydisconnectswitch,blower,
andblowerstarter.
TurnpowerONatsource.
TurntheblowermotorONthenOFFtocheckforproperrotaonbyreferencingtherotaon
arrowlocatedontheblowerhousing.Ablowerrunninginthewrongdireconwillslldeliver
approximately40%ofitsratedairvolumemakingproperrotaonextremelyimportant.
Follow manufacturer’s instrucons on the
motor’snameplate.

Compressedairisreleasedintothelterdislodgingdustandsmoke.Throughabluebuon
onthefrontoftable.
• Asolenoid-operatedairvalvedischargesalargeblastofairthroughtheltercartridgeon
automacmodels.
• Reversepulsedislodgingparclesembeddedintheltermedia.
• If MAXIBENCH is equipped with the oponal manually operated reverse pulse cleaning
system,compressed.Thisisdonebydepressingabluebuonatthefrontofthetable.
Supply80-90psiofdrycompressedairtothebackoftheunit.
• Quickdisconnectsandorotherconneconsaretobesuppliedbyenduser.
• Installaonofanairdryerisrecommended.Moistureinyourairlinecandamagelter.
• Foropmalperformance,itisrecommendedthatpulsingsequencesshouldbeperformed3
mesadayontablesinOFFmode.
Note:Neglecngtopulseyourlterregularlywillreducelterlife.
TheMAXIBENCHisequippedwithoponalrightandle,li-ohingedsidepanels.Openorremove
panelswhenworkingwithitemstoolargeorawkwardfortheworksurface.Keepthepanelsclosed
undernormaloperangcondions.
Beforestarngthecollectorfortherstme,thestepslistedbelowshouldbefollowedtoensure
thecollectorwillworkproperly.
Removeallobjectsinthevicinityofcollectorinletandoutlet.
Checkforproperinstallaonofallaccessoriesandoponalequipment.
Checkthatallremotecontrolsarewiredintothecontrolsystem,andallserviceswitchesare
intheOFFposion.
Checkthatalloponalaccessoriesareinstalledproperlyandsecured.
TurnpowerONatsource.
TurnthefanmotorONthenOFFtocheckforproperrotaonbyreferencingtherotaon
arrowlocatedonthemotor’smounngplate.

• Oncetheelectrical&pneumacconneconsaremade,unitisreadyforstart-up.
• Oncetheunithasbeenturnedoallowfor30secondsofdownme.Makesurecompressed
airishookedup.
• Turnunitoandpressthebluebuontoacvatethecleaningsystem.
• Priortooperang,theunitshouldrunfreelyfor10-15minutes.
All maintenance sta should wear protecve clothing or apparatus such as goggles, gloves,
breathingequipmentorsuchdevicesbeforeworkinginsidethecollector.
Toavoidinjuries,allelectricalcomponentsmustbeshutopriortoinspeconorservicingtheunit.
Thisprocedureincludesgengaccesstotheltersecon.
Ifstoreddustshaveanexplosionorammableriskoncestoredinduststoragecompartment,an
explosionreliefvenngsystemorareexnguishingdeviceisnecessary.Shouldyouhaveany
doubtconcerningltereddusts,contactA.Q.C.oritsrepresentave.
8 MAINTENANCE
Electricalinstallaonmustbeperformedbyaqualiedelectricianandcomplywithallapplicable
naonalandlocalcodes.
Turnpoweroandlockoutelectricalpowersourcesbeforeperformingserviceormaintenance
work.
Donotinstallinclassiedhazardousatmosphereswithoutanenclosureratedfortheapplicaon.
WARNING!
Donotlookintofanoutlettodeterminerotaon.Viewthefan
rotaonthroughthebackofthemotor.Checkthattheexhaust
plenumisfreeoftoolsordebrisbeforecheckingblower/fan
rotaon.Standclearofexhausttoavoidpersonalinjury.

Monitor the physical condion of the collector and repair or replace any damaged
components.Rouneinspeconswillminimizedownmeandmaintainopmumsystem
performance. This is parcularly important on connuous duty applicaons. With the
compressedairsupplyON,checkthecleaningvalves,solenoidvalves,andtubingforleaks.
Replaceasnecessary.
Monitorpressuredropacrosslters.Abnormalchangesinpressuredropindicateachange
inoperangcondionsandpossiblyafaulttobecorrected.
Monitorexhaust.
Monitordustdisposal.
Thelterspulsingsystemisasuccessfulwaytocleanthelter.Filterlifeisincreasedifsystemis
pulsedregularlyaccordingtousage.Overaperiodofme,avisualinspeconoradecreaseinair
owmayindicatethatthelterberemovedfromthetableformanualcleaning.
Tomanuallycleanthelteroutsidethetable,followthesesteps:
• Opencoversontherightsideofthetableandslideoutlters.
• Removelter.Theltershouldthenbeheldatitshorizontalposionsoastobetappedfor
removalofdebris.Thisproceduremaybedonedirectlyoverawastebagforeasydisposal.
• Blowcompressedairthroughthelterinthereversedireconofairow.Thisshouldbe
doneattheexterioroftheshop(room)orinawell-venlatearea.
• Donotwetorcleanthecartridgewithanyliquid,asitmaycausetheformingofunwanted
blockageontheltermedia.Theltermaybeweakenedcausingperforaonstothemedia
andulmatelydamageoftheblower.
• Thelterneedstobereplacedperiodically.Thelterlifecanrangefrom6to18months
dependingonmanyfactorsrangingfromtypeofapplicaon,density,parclesize,humidity,
oil,etc…
• Thedustdrawershouldbeempedperiodically.Performvisualinspeconsduringtherst
fewweeksofoperaontodetermineproperdumpingcycle.
• Periodicallyinspectthegaskettoensurepropersealing.Replaceifneeded.

• Sparkbaetrayscanbeuseddry,withwaterorsanddependingonthetable’sapplicaon.
Onceaweekavisualinspeconshouldbedoneandtraysemped.
• Sludgemayformuponcontactofdirtanddustandshouldberemovedbeforehardening.
Removalofsludgemaybeperformedwithaspatula,andthenthepanscanbehoseddown.
• Handleanycontaminantspresentinthetraysimilarlytowaterorsludge.Pressurewashwith
hotwater&detergentifneeded.
Note: Useofwaterinthesparkbaetrayisnotsuitableforallapplicaons.
Followthesenextstepstocleanorreplacethealuminumsparktraplter.
Note:ThesparktraplterisanimportantcomponentoftheMaxibenchunit.Avoidhavingthis
componentmayresultinareintheltercartridge.
Removethepunchedsteelworksurfaceandthetrays.
Removethealuminumsparkstraplter.
3. Washorbrushawaydirtinthelter.Ensureyoudonotdamagethemeshfabric.
Proceedwithavisualinspeconfortearsorrips.Replaceifnecessary.Putlterbackinplace.
9 MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION

performed.

11 WARRANTY
11.1 Coverage: AireauQualityControlInc.oritsdesignatedaliate(the"Seller")sellingtheproduct
(the"Product"),warrantsthattheProductsoldbySellerwillbefreefromdefectsinmaterialand
workmanshipforaperiodof12monthsfromthedateofitsinstallaonor14monthsfromthe
dateofshipmentbySeller,whicheverdateisearlier(the"WarrantyPeriod").
11.2 Excepons: ThiswarrantydoesnotapplytoanyProductorporonthereofthat:(i)hasbeenused
inamannernotincompliancewithSeller’sormanufacturer’sdocumentaonandinstrucons,(ii)
hashadchanges,alteraonsorrepairsmadebyapersonotherthanapersonauthorizedbySeller,
(iii)hasbeenimproperlyinstalledorusedorhasbeeninstalledorusedcontrarytoapplicable
codes,standards,lawsandregulaons,(iv)hasbeensubjectedtoimproperstorage,accident,
neglect,misuseorabuse,(v)hasbeendamagedduringshipping,(vi)hasbeensubjecttodamages
resulngfromnormalwearandtear,(vii)hasnotbeenusedwithappropriatereprotecon
systemsorexplosionvenngwhenrequiredor(viii)hasnotbeeninstalledbyalicensedcontractor
withexperienceinreandexplosionhazardsandapplicablecodes,lawsandregulaons.For
greatercertainty,thiswarrantydoesnotapplytolterssoldaspartof,orforusewith,theProduct.
UnlessspecicallyacceptedotherwiseinwringbySeller,Sellerdoesnotwarrantthatelectrical
equipmentwillcomplywithanylawsorregulaonsofthecustomer’sjurisdicon.
11.3 Claims: Tobenetfromthiswarranty,customermustnofySellerinwringoftheProductdefect,
whichnoceshallincludeareasonabledescriponofthedefect,within10daysfromthedatesuch
defectisdiscoveredoroughttohavebeendiscovered.
11.4 Remedy: DuringtheWarrantyPeriodandsubjecttothetermsherein,Sellerwill,atitsopon,
either:(i)repairorreplacetheProductoranydefecvepartsorcomponents(exceptforlters)
withProduct,partsorcomponents(exceptlters)freefromdefector(ii)creditorrefundthe
purchasepriceoftheProduct.IfSellersorequests,customermustreturnthedefecveProductto
Seller’splaceofbusinessdeterminedbySeller.Shipping,installaon,removalandre-installaon
costswillbesolelybornebythecustomer.

withexperienceinreandexplosionandapplicablecodes,lawsandregulaons.
13 APPLICABILITY
13.1 ThetermshereinconstutetheonlywarrantygivenbySellerwithrespecttotheProduct.No
othertermsandcondions,whetherincludedonapurchaseorderorinanyotherdocument,shall
applyorbindtheSellerwithrespecttotheProductwarrantyandallsuchtermsandcondionsand
documentsareexpresslydisclaimed.
14 GOVERNING LAW
14.1 ThesewarrantytermswillbegovernedbyandconstruedunderthelawsinforceintheProvince
ofOntario,Canada,excludingitsconictoflawrules.
