1 INTENDED USE
ATLAS 300 is a GPS receiver for farming machines, compatible with signals coming from GPS and GLONASS systems, compatible with NMEA 0183
protocol. ATLAS 300 has been designed to be connected to computers and agricultural applications provided with input port for satellite receivers
and must be used only in agricultural environment and within the treatment and cultivation area.
WARNING: This GPS receiver works only with the software versions 2.3.10 and subsequent for Bravo 400S series computers and
with 2.6.1 and subsequent for Delta 80. For the correct functioning choose the receiver “ATLAS 300” from the tractor setting
menu.
The equipment is designed and manufactured according to European directives and international standards:
2014/53/UE (RED), 2014/30/UE (EMC), CFR47 Part 15 Subpart B - Unintentional Radiators (FCC-USA) e ICES-003 Issue 5 - August
2012 - Information technology Equipment (ITE) - Limits and Methods of Measurement (Canada).
2 FCC STANDARDS
This receiver complies with the limits provided for class B digital devices, in accordance with CFR47 part 15 Subpart B of FCC standards.
These limits provide for parameters for a reasonable protection against harmful interferences.
The GPS receiver generates, uses and can emit radio frequency energy and, if not correctly installed and used, may cause harmful interferences to
the communications of radio frequency devices. Nevertheless, we do not guarantee that, in particular circumstances, interferences do not occur. If
using one or more of the following measures:
• Re-orient or reposition the receiver.
• Increase the distance between the disturbed and/or malfunctioning device and the receiver.
3 PRECAUTIONS
• Do not aim water jets at the equipment.
• Do not use solvents or fuel to clean the case outer surface.
• Do not clean equipment with direct water jets.
• In case of voltaic arc welding, remove connectors from device and disconnect the power cables.
• Only use ARAG genuine spare parts and accessories.

surface: therefore we advise against using it to operate on inclined surfaces (hill) if the system as a whole is not provided with
other solutions able to measure and correct such errors.
Installing the GPS receiver:
Installation of the receiver on agricultural equipment must observe certain basic requirements:
it shall be positioned on the highest position of the agricultural equipment (including trailer); receiving angle toward the sky shall be as large as possible.

free from any objects which might reduce adhesive adherence.
The lower part of the receiver is also provided with four anti-rotation recesses (Fig. 9) that can be used to prevent accidental movements of the
receiver due to impacts or vibrations.
Check for proper metal base
The operator is responsible for checking that the mounting system is completely secure. ARAG is not liable for damage of any
nature caused by the receiver working free, independently of which mounting system is used.

7 WIRING CONNECTIONS
• Use only the suitable harnesses (to be ordered separately).
• Take care not to break, pull, tear or cut the cables.
• Use of unsuitable cables not provided by ARAG automatically voids the warranty.
• ARAG is not liable for damages to the equipment, persons or animals caused by failure to observe the above instructions.
• ATLAS 300 is intended to be connected to ARAG devices mod. B400S or Delta 80 whose power supply output towards ATLAS
300 device complies with the requirements of limited power source (LPS) of EN 60950-1:2006+A11+A1+A12+A2, protected
against short circuit and overcurrent.
• ATLAS 300 is intended to be electrically powered with other devices. In this case it is necessary to install a 1A fuse on power
positive cable.
• For power supply, use a 0.75mm2section harness, with cables suitable to be used in outdoor environment and maximum
operating temperature of 75°C.
7.1 General precautions for a correct harness position
• Securing the cables:
- Fasten the harnesses so that they do not interfere with moving parts;
- Route the harnesses so that they cannot be damaged or broken by machine movements or twisting.
• Fitting the cables to the connection points:
- Do not force the connectors by pushing too hard or bending them: the contacts may be damaged and computer operation may be compromised.
Use ONLY the cables and accessories indicated in the catalog, having technical features suitable for the use to be made of
them.
7.2 Harness connection
Connect the receiver connector to the one of the relevant harness
Push the connector all the way down until engaging the retaining tooth.
If space is limited and you need to bend a cable, be sure not to bend it by less than 90°.
