We thank you for having selected the Arzum brand iron. This product as
well is one of other Arzum products offered to you to make life easier
for you.
In order to obtain utmost output from your appliance, please read
carefully this user’s manual and save it for further use.

corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. Our company shall
not be held liable for any failures owing to any discrepancy and such
failures shall not be covered by the guarantee.
• Yourdeviceisforhouseholduseonly.Donotuseoutdoorsfor
commercial or industrial purposes. Otherwise, inconvenient uses shall
not be covered by the guarantee.

to the supply mains.
•Keeptheironanditscordout
of reach of children less than 8
years of age when it is energized
cooling down.
• Topreventharmingyourappliancedonotuseextensioncordsthat
supply insufficient current.
• Yourironshouldalwaysbeturnedtominimumbeforepluggingor
unplugging from outlet.
• Avoidactionsthatmayharmordamagethecordorplugofyour
appliance.
• Donotcarryyourappliancebyholdingfromthecord.Tounplug,hold
the plug and do not pull by the cord.
• Donotallowthepowercordtohangdownoveredgeswhereitcanbe
reached by children.
• NEVER immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
• Donottouchhotsurfaces.Alwaysusethehandleandwarnothersof
the possible dangers of burns from steam, hot water or the soleplate,
especially when ironing vertically.
• Storeyourironwhilecoolingdownoutofreachofchildren.
• Ensurethattheironstandsupright.Thesoleplate
may become damaged, corroded, or stained even
due to a small quantity of moisture if the iron is
stored with the soleplate facing downwards.
• Donotallowthemainscordtotouchhot
surfaces.Donotwindthemainscordaroundthe
soleplatewhentheironishot.Allowtheirontocool
completely then store in upright position on its
heel.
•Theironmustbeusedand
rested on a stable surface.
•Whenplacingtheirononits
stand, ensure that the surface on
which the stand is placed stable.
•Theplugmustberemovedfrom
the socket outlet before the
water reservoir is filled with water.
•Thellingapperturemustnotbe
opened during use. Instructions
for safe
refilling of the water tank shell be
given.
•Theironisnottobeusedifithas
been dropped, isf there are visible
signs of damage or if its leaking.
Take it to an Arzum Authorized Service for examination and repair. Care
that for using the only original spare parts.
• Unplugyourironfromthemainssupply:
- Before filling with water or emptying it,
- Before cleaning and maintenance,
- Immediately after use.
• Useyourapplianceforitsintendedpurposesasrecommended.
Caution: The surfaces are
liable to get hot during use.

SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
• BeforestartingironingwithyourArzumClaroSteamIronalwayscheck
first to see whether a label with ironing instructions is attached to the
article to be ironed. Follow these instructions, if any. If ironing instructions
are missing but you do know the kind of fabric, then the table given
below will be helpful for you.
NOTE:
1- If you have started ironing those fabrics that require higher
temperatures and if you wish to iron such fabrics requiring the lowest
temperature, then set the temperature switch from the position “ ” to the
position “ ”, and wait for 5 minutes to allow cooling down.
CAUTION: There is a thermal safety fuse to protect the steam iron from
over-heating. However; for your safety always disconnected your iron
from the electrical outlet after finishing the iron or before taking a rest.
DRY IRONING
• Placeyourirononaatsurfaceandonitsheel.Turnthetemperature
switch to the position lowest temperature, i.e. “min”.
• Setthevariablesteambuttontothepositionofnosteam,i.e.“0”.This
willpreventthesteamow;eventhereiswaterinthewatertank.
• Adjustthetemperatureswitchaccordingtothekindoffabricsyou
want to iron.
• Youcanstartironingafterthetemperaturedisplaylightdisappears,
indicating that the selected temperature is being maintained.
NOTE: Pilot light may again turn on to maintain the selected
temperature of soleplate during ironing, which is suitable for the article
being ironed.
FILLING WITH WATER
(For steam ironing and spraying)
• Removethemainsplugfromthewallsocketbeforellingyouriron,set
the variable steam button the position of dry, i.e. “0”.
• Openthewaterllinginletcover,withtheironheldonanangle,pour
waterslowlyintothellinghole.Donotllhigherthanindication“MAX”
ofthewatertank.Afterllingthetankthenclosethewaterllinginlet
cover.
• Youcanusetapwater,unlessitisveryhard(hardnesshigherthan
17ºPH).Otherwise,itisadvisabletousedistilledwater.However,thedistilled
water must be subjected to an actual distillation process before filling.

VERTICAL STEAM
• Setthetemperaturecontroldialtothe
position max, and the variable steam button
to the position max. Stand against the cloths
and curtains that you would iron in the vertical
position.Depresstheshotofsteambutton.
WARNING: NEVER ATTEMPT TO IRON ANY
CLOTHS WHEN WORN BY YOU OR OTHERS.
AFTER USE
•Setthevariablesteambuttontotheposition“0”.
•Removethemainsplugfromthewallsocket
and wait for the soleplate
to cool down completely.
•Holdtheirondownward,
and pour out the water
contained in the tank by
shaking it.
• Takecarethatthereisnowaterinthewater
tank before storing your iron and that the iron
stands upright, but not in the horizontal position
on its soleplate.
CLEANING AND CARE
• Ensurethatyourironisdisconnectedfromthepowersupplyandallow
the iron to cool down thoroughly.
• Theremaybesomefabricdepositsandotherresiduesonthe
soleplate. Those sticky residues can be removed with a damp thick cloth
soaked in a vinegar/water solution. Then wipe off the soleplate with a dry
cloth.
• Donotuseabrasiveandscratchingobjectsonthesoleplatewhen
cleaning.Avoidhardcontactwithmetalobjects.
• Wipeuptheoutersurfaceofyourironwithadampcloth,andwipe
drywithadryone.Donotuseabrasivesorharshcleanersastheymay
damage the surface of the iron.
• Never immerse the iron in water or any other liquids.
• Do not put vinegar or chemical calcification removers into the water
tank.
SPRAYING
• Atanytemperaturebypressingon
the spray button a couple of times, the
laundry to be ironed can be damped
down.
STEAM IRONING
• Steamironingwithyourironisonly
possible in the higher temperatures as indicated in the temperature
switch and in the table.
• Ensurethatthereis
enough water in the water
tank.
• Standtheirononits
heel and plug into the
mains supply while the
thermostat adjustment
button is min position and
switch on.
• Setthetemperatureswitchtothecorrectpositionforsteamows.
• Assoonasthetemperaturedisplaylightdisappearsyoucanstart
ironing.
SHOT OF STEAM
• Whenandifrequired,inorderto
supply more steam you can iron quite
easily your hard iron able and too
wrinkly cloths through shot of steam
during both steam and dry ironing.
• Lifttheironslightlyabovethe
surfaceofthefabric;depresstheshot
of steam button for 3 to 5 seconds,
andthenrelease.Steamowwillbeginafterreleasingthebutton.

• Theself-cleaningprocessshouldbecarriedoutatleastonceamonth.
• Fromtimetotimecleantheinsideofthewatertankalso,byllingwith
water and shaking. Then pour the water out.
