◎Summary：
Welcome to use ASUS P527 update updating Firmware. You would use this updating
program to update the latest newly version of ASUS P527 internal firmware. So, this
will enhance the ASUS P527 cellphone’s stability and make its performance better.
Read the following introduction carefully before updating.
◎Updating program supports following operation system：
Windows 2000、Windows XP、Windows Vista edition
◎Attention：
1. In order to maintain the computer’s stability and avoid updating failures, don’t
operate many programs simultaneously.
2. The previous data couldn’t be preserved after updating newly edition firmware.
Please use the additional backing program to back up your data.
3. Don’t update other languages’ or regions’ firmware edition to your PDA cellphone.
4. Don’t remove USB cable before updating finished.
5. You should back up all the encrypted data on SD card before updating, because the
file on encrypted SD card can’t be opened after updating.
◎Procedure:
1. Firstly, check the power left if it is up 50%, and keep cellphone was turned on.
2. Synchronize device to PC with USB.
3. Check PC installing the [ActiveSync 4.5] (windows 2000, XP) or [WMDC]
(windows vista) and make sure it’s in connection status.
4. Click [update] button to upgrade.
5. If it failed to upgrade, please keep USB connect to PC and re-execute firmware,
following expert mode to upgrade.

I. Install ASUS P527 updating procedure application.
Installing.
Finish installation.

II. Execute upgrade procedure.
1. Turn on device.
2. Synchronize device to PC with USB
3. Make sure synchronization is successful. Status: [Connected]
4. ASUS P527 updating procedure’s main window looks like as below, click [update]
button.

<Note1：If appear the below information, make sure cellphone synchronize to PC
successfully.>
<Note2：Make sure power is above 50%, or update wouldn’t go on.>

5. Confirm firmware.
Cellphone firmware version is different according to different BootCode. The
updating procedure will auto run. Before [update] button change into [Finish], please
don’t pull out USB in case of fail.

6. Updating procedure then will be shown on cellphone.
7. Please wait for 5-7 minutes.
8. Updating finish, Click [Finish]

III. Saving update if failed with above method.
1. If it failed to update, please don’t remove battery.
2. Re-turn on cellphone, Set Keylock and press [OK], then press reset to restart
cellphone to show like as below.
3. Connect cellphone to PC with USB.

Set Keylock

4. Execute ASUS P527 updating procedure, click [Expert Mode].

5. Start saving update.
6. Wait for 5-7 minutes until expert mode update finish.
7. Cellphone will restart automatically.
