Phone Setup
Inserting Battery, SIM and Memory Card

Press the center on the back cover of the phone
and lift off the battery cover with another finger
via the slot at the top of the cover.
Insert the SIM card and memory card into their
respective slots. Ensure that the gold contacts
of each card are facing down.
Align the battery's exposed gold contacts with
the battery connectors inside the battery
compartment. Insert the contact side of the
battery first and then gently push the battery
into place.

Replace the battery cover by setting it to the
slot of the phone and press it back into place.

Touchscreen and Navigation
Your phone features a touchscreen that makes
navigation quick and easy.
Navigating Your Phone
• Useyourfingertip tolightlytouchthescreen.
• Usequickflicksofyour finger on the touchscreento
scrollup/downandleft/right.
• To returntotheprevious screen,pressthe
BackKey .
• PresstheHome Key atanytimetoreturntothe
mainhome screen.
• Tap Apps toaccess applicationson yourphone.
Notification Bar
• Touch the topof the homescreenand dragyour
fingerdown toseetheNotificationBar.
• TheNotificationBar includes timely information
aboutyourphone,including new messages, emails,
voicemailnotifications,missed calls, andcalendar
reminders.

Customizing Home Screen
Personalize your phone with the applications and
widgets that you use most and quickly access them
right from your home screen.
Touch and hold a blank space on one of the home
screens. You will be presented with four options to
choose from:
• Shortcuts: Access the items you use most with
one touch.
• Widgets: Add previews of social media and
other apps without having to open the full app.
• Folders: Add folders to organize contacts and
shortcuts.
• Wallpapers: Change your home screen and
wallpaper.
Tap the option you desire and follow instructions.
To move a widget, shortcut, or folder, touch and
hold it and drag it to a new location.
To delete a widget, touch and hold it and drag it to
the trash bin .

Calling and Voicemail
It's easy to make a call and check your voicemail with
the Fusion™ 2.
Making a Call
From the home screen, tap .
Select an option to place a call:
- Dialer- Manually entertelephonenumber.
- Calllog - Return or retrya call.
- Contacts-Call someone inyouraddressbook.
Check voicemail
From the home screen, tap .
Press and hold 1on the keypad.
Ringtones
To change the ringtone, tap MenuKey >
Settings > Sound > Phone ringtone > Ringtone.
Tap the applicable ringtones and tap OK.
To change the ringtones volume, press up or down
on the Volume Key.

Note: If voicemail is not set up, follow the voice prompts when first
accessing voicemail. AT&T recommends you use a passcode to
retrieve your voicemails. For more information see

Text Messaging
When you need to communicate privately and
quickly, use text messaging. Send text messages to
other wireless phones and email addresses.
Create and Send a Text Message
From the home screen, tap Messaging >New
message.
Open the keyboard.
Type the telephone number or tap to access
the address book, then tap the contact name
and OK.
Tap Type to compose, use the keyboard to enter
your message, and then tap Send.
Inserting a Picture or Video
While composing a message, press the Menu
Key .
Tap Add > Pictures or Videos.
Tap an album and then touch a picture or video in
the album to attach it.
Tap Send MMS.

Contacts
Importing Contacts from a SIM Card
From the homescreen, tap .
In the contact list, tap the MenuKey > Manage
contacts.
Tap CopyfromSIMcard.
Wait for the SIM card contents to be loaded.
Select the contacts you want to import or tap
Select All to select all contacts.
Tap Copy.
If you have more than one account on your phone,
tap the account into which you want to import the
contacts.
Editing a Contact
In the contacts list, touch and hold the contact
whose details you want to edit, and then tap Edit
contact in the options menu.
Tap the category of contact information you wish
to change: name, phone number, email address,
or any other information you recorded earlier.
Make the desired changes to the contact
information, and then tap Save. To cancel all of
your changes, tap Cancel.

Email
Use your device to set up and check multiple email
accounts including Gmail™ and Yahoo!®.
Setting up Email
From the home screen, tap > Email .
Enter the email address and password of the
account you would like to set up, and tap Next.
Enter the account name and user name as it will
appear on outgoing messages, then tap Done.
Create and Send an Email
From the home screen, tap > Email .
Tap the Menu Key > Compose.
Enter the email address, then tap the Subject and
Compose Mail fields to create your email.

Camera and Video Recording
Take pictures and record videos with the 3.2
megapixel camera/camcorder and then quickly and
easily share them with friends and family.
Take a Picture
From the homescreen, tap Camera to open
the camera.
Rotate the phone horizontally and tap to take a
picture. To adjust settings, press a setting icon.
Recording a Video
In camera mode, slide the button from the Camera
icon to the Camcorder icon.
Tap to begin recording, press it again to end.
Sharing a Picture or Video
After taking a photo or video, tap the thumbnail in the
lower right corner of the screen, tap Share to send it in
a message or post online.
Select the option to send the picture or video and
follow the onscreen prompts.
To post immediately to social networks, select
Facebook or Twitter.
Photos and videos will be automatically saved in
Apps > Gallery .

Bluetooth®and Wi-Fi®
Use a Bluetooth headset for hands-free talking or
connect to a Wi-Fi network for a fast, seamless data
connection.
Connecting a Bluetooth Headset
From the home screen, tap the
MenuKey .
Tap Settings > Wireless& networks > Bluetooth
settings.
Tap Bluetooth to activate.
Tap Scan fordevices.
Tap an available device, then tap Pair to connect.
Connecting to Wi-Fi
From the home screen, tap the
MenuKey .
Tap Settings > Wireless & networks >Wi-Fi
settings.
Tap Wi-Fi to activate the signal.
Tap a network, enter the password if the network is
secured, then tap Connect.

Internet
Access the Internet to get information at your
fingertips including news, weather, sports, and more.
Accessing Internet
From the home screen, tap Web .
Tap links to open them.
Double-tap on the screen to zoom in or out.
Browser Options
• To view youroptions, tapthe MenuKey
- Newwindow-Opena new window.
- Bookmarks- View and addbookmarksandsee
yourbrowsinghistoryand most-visited-sites
list.
- Windows -Showall open windows.
- Forward-Open the nextpagein yourbrowsing
history,if available.
- More- A completelist of all options available.
• To visit another pagetapthe SearchKey and
typethe Webaddress.
• Tap the addressbar and type theURL,thentap .

Multitasking
Your phone supports switching between multiple
tasks. You can run multiple applications
simultaneously even when you are on a call.
For example, after answering a call, tap to return to
the Home screen and use other applications without
ending or holding the call.
- Tap to view calendar events.
- Tap to view a contact.
- Tap to receive and view latest email messages.
To return to the calling screen, flick down from the
notification bar and tap Current call.
Tip: You can touch and hold to display the
applications that you have accessed recently and
quickly select a desired application.

From the home screen, touch > Play Store .
Use your existing Google account or create one

optionstoselectandsearchforappsand games.
– Tap Games to access games by category.
– Tap Apps to access apps by category.
• Tap tosearch the marketplacefora specific
gameor app.
• Followthe instructions toinstall.The installed
appwill appear in the NotificationBarthatcanbe
accessedbytappingthe topof the homescreen
andsliding the bar down.
Note: A Google Checkout payment method is
