Overview
The KH2508 / KH2516 Cat 5 KVM Switches are dual channel KVMs, allowing two operators independent and
simultaneous access to 8 / 16 directly connected servers to a maximum of 512 / 4096 servers through three level of
cascading.
Cascading is achieved via dedicated RJ-45 cascade ports and Cat 5e cabling. Both, first level consoles can be
configured to access all 512 / 4096 computers in the installation (non-blocked), or one console may be configured for
total access with a local user assigned to each tier (blocked access).
The Cat-5 connections allow servers to be separated from the KH2508 / KH2516 by up to 100 ft with a video resolution of
1600x1200 or 1280 x 1024 up to 130 ft
The KVM supports mixed environments of Windows, MAC , Linux, Unix, Novell, and OS/2 and will allow keyboard
emulation for the special Mac and Sun keys.
