duct documentation are to be observed.
Strictly observe the information given in this
and in the instructions for installation of
drives when mounting the USKM.

USKM (Control module) 24V
• The control module USKM allows up to 3 drives
respectively locking drives to be connected.
• The USKM is congurable - via DIP switches - as:
- multiple control module with up to 3 drives or
- sequential control module with up to 2 locking
drives.
• The control module USKM has a post cycle locking.
• The control module USKM has a cut-off current
surveillance.
• The cut-off current of the connected drives - is individually
adjustable for each drive - via DIP switch.
• A LED indicates status and error messages.
• Several control modules USKM can be connected in a
line. The maximum output current of the control unit or
the motor line must not be exceeded.

COMMISSIONING
COMMISSIONING
• The maximum output current of the control unit may not
be exceeded.
• In SHEV systems (smoke and heat ventilation) a „line
end module“ must always be installed in the last USKM
for line monitoring.
• The running direction of the drives must coin-
cide with the activated direction as well as with the
LED status display. Otherwise, change the connections
to the control unit or to the drives.
• The maximum length of sypply lines between drives
and control module is 10 meters. Pay attention to
the required wire cross-section of a supply line.
¢Mount the USKM and connect it to the control unit.
¢Establish the connection at outputs 1- 3in accordance
with the desired application (see chapter: CONNETION AT
THE USKM AND SETTING THE DIP SWITCHES).
¢Prior to start-up, the DIP switches for the components
to be used must be set and checked (see chapter:
CONNETION AT THE USKM AND SETTING THE DIP SWITCHES).
The LED status display provides information for visual
monitoring and targeted troubleshooting.

Multiple or sequential control module
With the function multiple control module two or three
drives are operated simultaneously.
In the sequence control mode, the drives are connected
in series - depending on the selected sequence control. Here
the shutdown of a drive is the start signal of the next drive.
Post cycle locking
As soon as the USKM has switched off the drives and
locking drives in one running direction, it does not permit
any further operation - in this direction.
Only after reversing the polarity of the input voltage - in the
opposite direction - the USKM is reactivated.
Cut-off current surveillance
The current consumption of the connected drives and
locking drives is permanently monitored. When the set
value has been exceeded, the USKM switches off the
connected motor. If a drive stops, for example, because of a
defected cable, the USKM recognizes this as undercurrent.
All connected drives and locking drives are switched OFF.
Switch-off function for drives with internal
load dependent cut-off switch (e.g. OFV1)
These drives switch off by its own, if the current con-
sumption drops below a certain trashold. This state is not
displayed on the USKM as an error message.
If the current consumption of the drive exceeds the set
trashold (max. 2,4 A), this is signaled as a fault (the
LED status display indicates red fast blinks) and all motors
are switched off.

Changing the factory set run-on time of 2
seconds can lead to drive and window case-
ment demage.
For damage - caused by the change of the
run-on time - AUMÜLLER assumes no liability.
Larger screwdriver can lead to mechanical
damage.

The run-on time is the internal switch-off-time set at the
USKM for the monitoring of the parallel operation of 2 or
3 drives. It determines the misaligment between the
drive-strokes, which results from the multiplication of the
run-on time and the speed of the drives.
The run-on time between the switch-off point of the rst
drive - by overload or low voltage - and the forced shut-
down of the other drives in parallel operation, can be set on
the circuit board with a potentiometer Œin the range of
0 to 5 seconds. The factory setting is 2 seconds.
¢Operate the potentiometer Œwith a screwdriver
(size 0).
The set run-on time can be measured with a stopwatch.
An error must be simulated to a drive output and the time
must be measured in which the other drives operated in
parallel running mode are switched off.
Alternatively, the DC voltage at the two measuring points
MP1 (-) •and MP2 (+) Žhas to be measured - with a
digital multimeter - and converted into time according to
the formula t = V.

The cut-off current must be set for each output and is dependent on
the drive type.

The outputs must be occupied from left to right, whereby the drives
are rst connected and then the locking drives.
Outputs that are congured as a drive-output cause simultaneous,
parallel opening and closing.
Outputs that are congured as a locking drive-output operate as
sequence control. If drives are to open and close in sequence, they
must be congured as locking drives. The cut-off current has to be set
according to the drive type.
Exception: In a system with 2 locking drives the number of locking
drives must be set ON / ON (DIP 9/10), if the two locking drives has
to open and close simultaneously in parallel.
In case of improper setting, the LED status display V10 signaled red
continuous light and the USKM is out of operation.

RESET THE USKM
¢Set DIP switch 7 - 10 to OFF.
¢Interrupt the voltage on the terminals 1 and 2.
¢When disconnected, make the new adjustment of the
DIP switches.

ried out after previously consulting with the
