Wi-Manx Velocity-Plus (VDSL+) - FRITZ!Box 7360
This guide is suitable for the AVM FRITZ!Box 7360 and other VDSL compatible Fritz!box routers.
What we'll cover: Manually configuring a PPP connection for Wi-Manx Velocity-Plus (VDSL+)
Connect to the FRITZ!Box web-based interface
Step1
Confirm that a LAN or WLAN connection has been established to the modem.
Open your preferred web browser, e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.
Enter the following number into the address bar and then hit Enter on your keyboard:
o192.168.178.1 (this is known as an IP Address)
Step2
There is no administration password set by default when the router is provided by Wi-Manx
If you have set up login details yourself, please enter the correct details now.
If the default administrative username/password is not working, it is likely it has been changed from the default
setting.
If you do not know what the password has been changed to, you will need to either factory reset the device and
repeat this section or contact Wi-Manx Support.
Step3
Click Internet from the menu to the left of the screen.
Click Account Information from the left hand menu to access the Account
Information screen.

Step4
Ensure Connection Mode is set to Connecting to a DSL Line.
Under the section Account Information enter your VDSL+ account Information as
provided by Wi-Manx (including @vdslplus.wm.im).
Step5
Under Connection Settings, click the link labelled “Change connection settings”.
This extends the page to display the settings needed as in the picture above.
Ensure Maintain Internet Connection Permanently is selected.
Ensure Use VLAN for Internet access is UNchecked.

Step6
Select Define ATM Settings Manually, ensure these values are as follows:
Encapsulation: PPPoE
Step7
Select the option to Check the Internet Connection after Apply.
Click Apply.
Click OK when the pop-up window appears.
The FRITZ!Box will now check connection to the Internet, if successful, click OK.
Congratulations! You have successfully configured your Internet service.
