Thank you for purchasing the Avonic AV-CON300 PTZ Camera Controller. Before beginning to operate
this device, please read the manual in order to make sure the best performance is obtained. Save this
manual for future reference.
Safety Notes
•Installation and servicing should only be done by Qualified Service Personnel and conform to
all local codes.
•This unit is designed for indoor use only and it must not be installed where exposed to water
or other liquids and moisture.
•Before powering on the device, check the input power voltage carefully.
•Avoid shock and vibration when transporting and installing the device.
•Use wall mount brackets or ceiling mount brackets available at Avonic for safe installation.
•Electronic devices produce heat. Do not block the ventilation slots of the device and make
sure the installation environment is well ventilated to avoid overheating.
•Before cleaning, unplug the power cable. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device, do not
use strong or abrasive detergent to clean that will damage the device.

Product Overview
The Avonic CM-COM300 is an advanced PTZ camera controller. With this controller it is possible to
control up to 5 cameras and using up to 255 pre-sets.
The controller supports the Visca, Pelco-D and Pelco-P protocol and can be connected with
RS232/485. The Avonic CM-COM300 is therefore compatible with the Avonic cameras as well with
other brands that supports these protocols.
Switch easily between auto and manual focus, save and load presets, and connect multiple
controllers to multiple cameras.

Installation
Connection Diagram
Power adapter installation
This equipment is equipped with a 12V DC power supply, insert the power supply according to the
requirements, turn on the power switch, and the LCD screen is displayed.
Connect the camera
If the camera is far from the keyboard (greater than 20 meters), use the RS422/485 connection.
If the camera is closer to the keyboard (less than 20 meters), the use of the connection of the way,
the machine provides a 1 m RS232 (RJ45 round head pin 8) connecting cable. When the utility model
is used, the utility model can be cut off, and the three core cable which is connected with an
appropriate length is added. The cable is inserted into the RG45 interface of the keyboard, and the
other end is inserted into the RS232IN of the camera.

Operation Instructions
Menu
Keyboard settings menu:
1) Press the MENU key
2) Enter password: 8888
3) press "EXIT" key to Exit menu

1. camera protocol settings, the protocol for the 5 cameras, each address protocol is not the

2. camera baud rate setting, the baud rate of the 5 cameras, each address baud rate is not the

3. keyboard joystick control left and right reverse switch settings. Methods: three dimensional

Operation
1. Boot
Plug in the keyboard power supply, monitor will display the default number CAM 1.
2. Select the machine number
Press the keyboard interface CAMERA area digital (1-5) key to control the machine number, for
example: by the number "3" key, the display:
After determining the number, all operations are performed on this camera.
3. Control joystick operation
In the lower right corner of the control rocker is the rapid rotation of the camera and the lens of the
control components, there are left and right, up and down rotation of three-dimensional control
function. The left side of the camera is rotated to the left of the camera, the rocker is upward, and
the camera rotates upwards, and the rotation speed of the pan head is adjusted by a "PTZ/ZOOM
SPEED" knob. The ZOOM knob can control the telescopic lens of the camera and watch the close
range of the vision.
4. Preset settings
The preset position is a kind of operation that the front desk staff will advance the camera lens to the
speaker's position. After setting the preset position, the conference call only the preset number, the
camera can quickly turn to determine the location. This machine can be preset 10. Operation as
follows:
First, the operation of the joystick to make the lens aligned with the desired position, press the
"PRESET" button (set the preset "PRESET" button will remain in a state of light), display:

Up to 10 preset positions can be set per camera. The number of preset positions for each camera is
from 1 to 10.
5. Call preset
When the "PRESET" and "RESET" function are in the closed state, select the "POSITION" area number
key (1-10) to enter the preset number 1, that is, the completion of the number 1 preset call,

7. Exposure mode selection
Press "AE AUTO" button to trigger auto exposure mode;
Rotate the "BRIGHT" knob that triggers the brightness priority, which can adjust the brightness of the
camera, "+" to increase the brightness, "-" to reduce the brightness;
Rotate the "IRIS" knob that triggers the aperture priority, which can adjust the aperture of the
camera, "+", and "-" to reduce the aperture;
8. White balance mode selection
Press the "WBC MODE" button to cycle the white balance modes ("WBC AUTO", "INDOOR",
"OUTDOOR", "ONE PUSH", "ATW", "OUT", "MANUAL");
Rotate the "R" knob that triggers the manual white balance mode, which can adjust the depth of the
red, "+" the red becomes darker, and the "red" becomes lighter;
Rotate the "B" knob that triggers the manual white balance mode, which can adjust the depth of the
blue, "+" the blue becomes darker, and the "blue" becomes lighter;
9. The camera menu call
Press the "CAMERA OSD" button to call the camera menu. Use the rocker switch up and down the
project, the left and right confirmation, Exit menu can be saved.
10. Camera tilt, zoom lens adjustment
Rotate the "PTZ/ZOOM SPEED" knob to adjust the joystick to control the camera pan tilt speed and
the "ZOOM" button to control the camera zoom speed. According to the point on the keyboard logo,

11. "ZOOM" button to use

12. Manual, automatic focusing
Rotate the "FOCUS" button to trigger the manual focus mode, and turn to the "NEAR" side to control
the camera lens focus to close, rotate the "FAR" end to control the camera lens focus;

13. Translation and pitch
The left and right direction of the joystick is translation, up and down is the pitch, when you release
remote sensing, the camera will stop action.
14. Focal Length
