AXIS 230
MPEG-2 Network Camera
The AXIS 230 MPEG-2 Network Camera is a high quality
video camera that delivers 25/30 frames per second of DVD-
quality video with synchronized audio over an IP network.
It uses less bandwidth compared to equal Motion JPEG video,
and provides the user with controllable constant bit rate.
This makes it ideal for high-end security usage, such as traffic
monitoring, casinos and airports, where high quality full frame
rate video and quality audio are of vital importance.
This IR sensitive camera is based around a color camera block
with built-in 18x optical zoom lens, day/night functionality
(color image during daytime, black and white image during
night time) and one way audio (from camera to viewer).
It compresses video and audio into standard MPEG-2 and
makes this available over the network supporting both uni-
and multicast. For customers requiring Pan/Tilt control, it is
also equipped with built-in support for RS232/485 and comes
complete with support for a selected range of Pan/Tilt heads.
