Understand all instructions in the manual. Follow all instruction labels found on the
unit.
Except for the power adapter supplied, the unit should not be connected to other
adapters/power supplies.
Never spill liquid of any kind on the unit.
Do not place the unit on an unstable stand or table. The unit may drop and become
damaged.
Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight.
Do not put any hot devices close to the unit as it may degrade or cause damage to
it.
Do not put any heavy object on top of the unit
Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.

Introduction
Thank you on your purchase of the ADSL Ethernet Router !
The ADSL Ethernet Router can be connected to any computer with an Ethernet card or to
an Ethernet Hub / Switch. It makes use of your existing phone line for Internet surfing and
at the same time allows you to use your phone.
It is important that you read this manual on how to setup your Router.
You should have an Ethernet Card already installed in your system.
Minimum System Requirements
• Pentium®MMX 233MHz (or above) with Ethernet card (installed with TCP/IP Protocol)
• A CD-ROM Drive
• Operating Systems: Windows® 95, Windows® 98, Windows® 98 Second Edition,
Windows® Me, Windows® XP, Windows NT® 4.0 and Windows® 2000

Front Indicators
lLAN
Lights up when the Ethernet link between the ADSL
Router and your Ethernet Card Port is established.
Flickers when the Ethernet is transmitting/receiving
data.
mDSL
Lights up when the ADSL connection is established.
Flickers at fast interval when the ADSL is transmitting/
receiving data.
Flickers at a slower interval when trying to establish a
connection.
nPOWER
Lights up when the ADSL Router is powered up via the
Power adapter.

Telephone jack (RJ-11) to connect to your Telephone
Wall Socket (ADSL line).
mPHONE
Telephone jack (RJ-11) to connect to your Telephone Set
via a Micro-Filter.
nRESET
To reset your ADSL Router to factory default settings.
(All customised settings that you have saved will be
lost!)
Please refer to the below footer3on how to activate the
reset function.
oETHERNET
10 Base-T Ethernet jack (RJ-45) to connect to your
Ethernet card or Ethernet Hub/Switch.
pDC IN
To connect to the Power Outlet via the Power Adapter
that comes with your package.
2To activate the reset function:
- Ensure that your ADSL Router is powered on.
- Use a pencil tip or a paper clip to depress the reset button. For about 5 seconds, release the
reset button. The factory default settings are now restored. The default IP address is 192.168.1.1

your Router !

Step 1.4 Connecting to The Mains
Power off your Power Adapter when the unit is not in use.
Different countries are bundled with different types of power adapter. The following
illustration is only a representative.
Step 1.3 Connecting to a Telephone Set (Optional)
The connection of the Telephone Set to your Router is optional.

Step 3: Configuring Your Ethernet Adapter
If you do not see your TCP/IP networking protocol, refer to the documentation
that comes with your Ethernet card and re-install the driver.
For Windows® 95 / Windows® 98 / Windows® Me
i. From your Windows desktop, right-click on the Network Neighborhood icon. Select
Properties.
ii. From the Configuration tab, select TCP/IP->xxx where xxx refer to your Ethernet
card model that is connected to your Router.
Click Properties.

iii. Select the IP Address tab. Click the option Obtain an IP address automatically.
Click OK. When prompted to restart, click Yes.
For Windows® XP
(Instructions are based on default Start menu)
i. From your Windows desktop, click Start > All Programs > Accessories >
Communications > Network Connections.
ii. Right-click on the Local Area Connection icon that reflects the model of your
Ethernet Card that is connected to your Router and click Properties.
(This is important especially if you have more than one Local Area Connection
icons displayed)
iii. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.

iv. Select the option Obtain an IP address automatically and click OK.
v. Click OK again to close.
