Please read the instructions and warnings given in this
handbook carefully before use, and always keep it in a safe
place.
Your new forehead thermometer detects body temperature in an ab-
solutely precise and painless way.
It is ideal to carry out measurements on babies, even while they are
sleeping.
The new infrared measurement technology offers a greater reliability
and above all a longer life of the instrument.
It is equipped with a wide LCD display for an easy reading.
It has also an acoustic signal for completed measurement of the body
temperature and of automatic switching-off after one minute of inac-
tivity, which allows to extend the duration of the batteries.
It is really easy to be used and allows the measurement of body and
room temperature.
It measures temperature in Celsius (C°) and Fahrenheit (F°) degrees.
It stores in memory the last 25 measurements performed to evaluate
eventual variations.
NB: the temperature shown on the display is equal to
the oral temperature, i.e. temperature measured on the
forehead is translated as if it were measured in the mouth.

GENERAL WARNINGS
1. Self-measuring means control, it does not mean
diagnosis or treatment.
Any unusual levels should always be discussed with
your doctor.
Under no circumstances must you change the dose of
medicines prescribed by your Doctor.
2. The forehead thermometer is a very sensitive
instrument.

Please handle it with care and avoid knocks.
Do not press, bend, drop or break the thermometer
into small pieces.
3. Keep it out of the reach of children.
4. The thermometer must not be exposed to extreme
temperatures, direct sunlight or sources of heat.
It must be kept in a cool, dry and clean place.
5. Do not touch the probe with your fingers.
Do not dismantle the thermometer.
6. Do not immerse the thermometer in water or other
liquids.
7. The forehead thermometer must not be used for
rectal, oral or armpit temperature reading.
8. The precision of the measurement can be jeopard-
ized by: great perspiration of the forehead, use of
vasoconstrictive drugs and skin irritations.
9. Clean the temple where the probe will lean before
performing the measurement.
10. Measure the temperature far from direct sunlight
and wind.
11. This thermometer has to be used to measure
temperature on forehead (with skin contact) as shown
on the cover page.
A HIGH TEMPERATURE
A high temperature should be considered a symptom and not an ill-
ness. Usually it is the sign that our organism is fighting against an
infection.
In fact, it represents a defensive reaction of our organism that is char-
acterised by an increase in body temperature above 37°C and by an
increase in heartbeat and breathing frequency.
The normal temperature inside our organism is around 37.5°C, which
is the value read with the rectal method, the temperature in the
mouth is lower by about 0.5°C (37°C), while that under the armpit
is lower by 1°C (36.5°C).

Therefore it is very important that the temperature is correctly meas-
ured using the most effective method, and preferably not in those
moments when body temperature could be higher (on waking, after
meals).
The temperature of a healthy person is also affected by the following
factors:
• The person’s individual level (individual metabolism).
• Age (body temperature is higher in babies and small children
and falls with increasing age. Greater temperature fluctuations
occur in children faster and more often.).
• Clothing.
• The outside temperature.
• The time of day (Body temperature is lower in the morning
and rises as the day goes on).
• Preceding physical activity.
• Measuring method.
• Phase of the menstrual cycle.
You should remember that skin temperature is easily affected
by the room temperature; in fact, taking the temperature under the
armpit is much less reliable with respect to oral and rectal
readings.
However, the temperature that is read on the forehead is extremely
reliable and close to the real body temperature, as just a few mm from
the skin on the forehead the temporal artery passes which carries the
blood to the brain.
This means that your new infrared forehead thermometer measures
the temperature of the blood in the artery that passes underneath
the skin.This is a highly appreciated method as it is very simple,
precise and reliable.
The graph below shows a list of the average“normal”temperatures.
Please remember, that the thermometer must be in the
room where the temperatures is to be taken at least half an
hour beforehand, while the person must be present at least
10 minutes beforehand.
However, we recommend that you learn to recognise your

normal body temperature when you are well, to correctly
interpret the different readings.

These different thermometers are suitable for measuring the temper-
ature in different parts of the body: forehead thermometer: measure-
ment only on the forehead, ear thermometer: measurement only in
the ear, rod thermometer: rectal (conventionally in the back passage),
axillary (under the arm) or buccal measurement (inside the cheek)
and under the tongue (sublingual).
The temperature varies depending on the part of the body where it is
measured. The variation can be between 0.2 – 1° C.
Temperatures measured with different thermometers cannot be com-
pared with one another. Tell your doctor or take into account when
diagnosing yourself what thermometer you used in what part of the
body to measure the temperature.
INSERTING/REPLACING THE BATTERY
The battery has to be urgently replaced when on the display the sym-
bol of“discharged battery”appears.
Before replacing the battery, switch off the thermometer to avoid
damaging the mechanism.
1) extract the screw from the cover of the battery compartment.
2) open the cover and remove the battery
3) insert the new battery and place the positive pole upwards.
4) place the cover back on the battery compartment.
5) screw the screw in the cover.
Do not dispose used batteries as domestic waste, but deposit them
in the proper collection points.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR A CORRECT USE
MEASUREMENT OF THE FOREHEAD TEMPERATURE (HEAD)
1) Make sure that the probe is clean and integral.
2) Clean the temple where the probe will lean.
3) Switch on the thermometer, by pressing the key“ON/MEM”.
On the display appear all the function symbols (self-test); after
few seconds, the display shows the message“HEAD-C°”and
emits two beeps. At this point, the thermometer is ready for
use.
4) Lean the probe on the right or left temple; press the key
SCAN and keep it pressed, then slowly move the probe around
the temple.
The thermometer emits beeps indicating that the measurement
is taking place.
5) A longer and more intense acoustic signal indicates that
the measurement has ended (Time necessary to perform the
measurement ranges from 5 to 30 second according to the
temperature of the person).
Should the temperature exceed 37.5°C, the thermometer emits
a long beep followed by other three shorter beeps.
6) Release the key SCAN and then detach the probe from the
temple; read the measured value on the display
NB: the temperature shown on the display is equal to the oral
temperature, i.e. temperature measured on the forehead is
translated as if it were measured in the mouth.
7)The device switches off automatically after 1 minute, if it is
not used.
MEASUREMENT OF THE ROOM TEMPERATURE ( )
This thermometer allows the measurement of the room temperature.
1) Switch on the thermometer, by pressing the key“ON/MEM”.
On the display appear all the function symbols (self-test); after
few seconds, the display shows the message“HEAD-C°”and
emits two beeps.
2) Keep the key“ON/MEM”pressed and then press the key SCAN.

The display shows the icon“ ”(HEAD disappears).
3) If you wish to measure the temperature on a precise point,
press the key SCAN.
The thermometer measures the temperature in 0.6 seconds.
If the SCAN key is kept pressed, temperature is updated
continuously.
4)The device switches off automatically after 1 minute, if it is
not used.When it is switched on again, the display shows the
forehead temperature measurement function (HEAD).
CELSIUS/FAHRENHEIT
This thermometer can measure temperature both in Celsius and
Fahrenheit degrees.
Each time you wish to change the measurement unit, proceed as
follows:
1)With switched off thermometer, keep the key SCAN pressed
without releasing it for some seconds, and then press
contemporaneously the key ON/MEM until the displays shows
°F (or °C).
2)The thermometer emits two beeps; at this point, release the
key SCAN and the key ON/MEM.
Now the measurement unit has been changed.
Proceed with the measurement according to paragraph
“INSTRUCTIONS FOR A CORRECT USE”.
MEMORY FUNCTION
This device stores in memory the last 25 measurements performed
to evaluate eventual variations. The measurements are stored auto-
matically after that the thermometer has switched off.
Only forehead temperatures (HEAD) included between 22°C and
42.2°C (71.6°F and 108.0 °F) are stored.
After the first 25 measurements, the oldest data are erased automati-
cally.
To call up saved measurements, switch on the thermometer, and
press the key ON/MEM (Every time the key is pressed, saved data are

scrolled). On the upper part of the display appears the symbol “M”
and before each stored data appears the corresponding number (1=
most recent measurement - 25 oldest measurement).
The stored measurements are displayed for about 1 minute.
After about 1 minute from releasing the ON/MEM key, the device
switches off automatically.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before and/or after each use, clean the probe of the thermometer
with a soft cotton cloth moistened with water or alcohol to assure
accurate measurements and to avoid microbial contaminations. The
probe is the most delicate part of the thermometer; pay utmost care
during the cleaning.
Let the probe dry completely for about 30 minutes.
The thermometer body has to be cleaned with a soft and dry cloth.
THE BODY OF THE THERMOMETER HAS NOT TO BE WASHED WITH
WATER.
Absolutely neither use abrasive products, nor plunge the thermom-
eter in water or other liquids.
Store the thermometer in a dry and clean place away from direct
sunlight.

Problem: The “HEAD” writing blinks: the mechanism is adjusting it-
self.
Solution: Await some seconds until the “HEAD” message stops to
blink.

Solution: It is necessary to consider that the thermometer has to be
in the room where the measurement is performed about half an hour
before performing the measurement, while the person has to be in
the room at least 10 minutes before. (Room temperature has to range
between +10°C and +40°C / between 50°F and 104°F)

Problem: Room temperature is not included between +10°C and
+40°C / between 50°F and 104°F.
Solution: It is necessary to consider that the thermometer has to be
in the room where the measurement is performed about half an hour
before performing the measurement, while the person has to be in

Problem: Error 5~9, the device does not work correctly.
Solution: Remove the battery, await 1 minute and then place it again
in the proper compartment.
Should the error persist, contact your dealer.

manufacturing and does not cover accidental damage, incorrect use,
negligence or misuse of the product.
Use only the accessories provided; the use of accessories other than
the approved ones can make your warranty void. Never open the ap-
pliance; in the event of any opening or tampering the warranty will
automatically become invalid.
The warranty does not cover either the parts subject to wear and tear
or the batteries (if provided). The warranty expires 1 year from the
date of purchase; after this period any technical service shall be
charged. Information regarding technical service either under the
terms of this warranty or to be paid for can be obtained by contacting

No compensation of any kind is owed for repairs or substitutions of-
products under the terms of this guarantee. In the event of faults,go

ОБЩИЕ УКАЗАНИЯ
1. Самостоятельное измерение температуры
тела означает контроль над показателями
температуры тела, но не постановку диагноза или
проведение лечения.
Следует сообщать врачу о всяком отклонение
температуры от нормального уровня.
Ни при каких обстоятельствах нельзя изменять
дозу лекарственных препаратов, назначенных
Вам врачом.
2. Лобный термометр – очень чувствительный
прибор.
Следует обращаться с ним с осторожностью,
предохраняя его от ударов.
Не допускайте надавливания на термометр, не
сгибайте и не роняйте его, не ломайте на мелкие
кусочки.
3. Храните в недоступном для детей месте.
4. Не подвергайте термометр воздействию
экстремальных температур, храните его вдали от
прямых солнечных лучей или источников тепла.
Храните его в сухом, прохладном и чистом месте.
5.Не касайтесь датчика пальцами.
Не разбирайте термометр.
6.Не погружайте термометр в воду и другие
жидкости.
7.Не используйте лобный термометр для
измерения ректальной температуры, а также
температуры во рту и в подмышечной области.
8.Выступающий на лбу пот, прием
сосудосуживающих препаратов и раздражение
на коже могут повлиять на точность измерения
температуры.
9.Прежде чем измерять температуру промакните
сухой салфеткой то место на виске, к которому

будет приставлен термометр.
10.Не измеряйте температуру на открытом солнце
и на ветру.
11.Этот термометр используется для измерения
температуры лба (путем непосредственного
контакта с кожей), как показано на обложке.
ВЫСОКАЯ ТЕМПЕРАТУРА
Высокая температура – это симптом, но не болезнь. Это, как
правило, знак того, что наш организм борется с инфекцией.
Фактически, это защитная реакция нашего организма,
характеризующаяся увеличением температуры тела выше 37°С
и увеличением частоты сердечных сокращений и дыхания.
Нормальная температура нашего организма равна примерно
37,5°С, если измерять ее ректально, температура во рту ниже
примерно на 0,5°С (37°С), а температура в подмышечной
области ниже примерно на 1°С (36,5°С).
Поэтомуоченьважноправильноизмерятьтемпературунаиболее
эффективным способом и желательно не в те моменты, когда
температура тела может быть выше (при ходьбе, после еды).
На температуру здорового человека влияют следующие
факторы:
• Индивидуальные особенности обмена веществ.
• Возраст (температура тела выше у младенцев и
маленьких детей, с возрастом она понижается. У детей
более значительные колебания температуры происходят
быстрее и чаще.)
• Одежда.
• Температура окружающей среды.
• Время дня (Утром температура тела ниже, а к концу дня
она становится выше.)
• Предшествующая физическая нагрузка.
• Способ измерения.
• Фаза менструального цикла.

Следует помнить, что температура в комнате влияет на
температуру кожи, поэтому при измерении температуры в
подмышечной области показатели менее достоверны, чем
ректальные показатели или показатели, полученные при
измерении температуры во рту.
Температура лба наиболее достоверна и близка к реальной
температуре тела, так как всего в нескольких миллиметрах от
кожи на лбу проходит височная артерия, несущая кровь клеткам
головного мозга.
Это означает, что Ваш новый инфракрасный лобный термометр
измеряет температуру крови в проходящей под кожей артерии.
Этот метод получил заслуженную оценку благодаря своей
простоте, точности и надежности.
Внизу в таблице представлены средние «нормальные»
температуры.
Помните, что до того, как измерять температуру,
термометр должен находиться в помещении, где будет
измеряться температура, не менее получаса, а лицо, у
которого будет измеряться температура, не менее 10
минут.
Температура, показываемая на дисплее, соответствует
температуре в ротовой полости, т.е., показатели,
полученные после измерения температуры лба,
преобразуются и выдаются на экран, как если бы
температура измерялась во рту.

Для измерения температуры тела используются различные
термометры: лобный термометр измеряет только температуру
лба; ушной термометр – только в ухе; стандартный термометр
– для измерения ректальной температуры (обычно в заднем
проходе), аксиллярной (в подмышечной области), буккальной
(за щекой) и сублингвальной температуры (под языком).
Температура варьирует в зависимости от части тела, в которой
производится измерение. Колебание может достигать 0,2 – 1°С.
Нельзя сравнивать температуру, измеряемую различными
термометрами. При измерении температуры всегда учитывайте,
каким термометром и в какой части тела Вы измеряете
температуру, и всегда говорите об этом врачу.
КАК ВСТАВИТЬ/ЗАМЕНИТЬ БАТАРЕЙКУ
Батарейку следует сразу же заменить, как только на дисплее
появится сообщение“discharged battery (батарейка разряжена)”.
Перед заменой батарейки необходимо выключить термометр,
чтобы не повредить механизм.
1) Выкрутите винт крышки отделения для батареек.
2) Снимите крышку и вытащите батарейку.
3) Вставьте новую батарейку положительным полюсом
вверх.
4) Закройте крышку отделения для батареек.
5) Закрутите винт крышки.
Не выбрасывайте батарейки вместе с бытовым
мусором, а сдавайте их в соответствующих пунктах
сбора батареек.
ИНСТРУКЦИИ ПО ПРАВИЛЬНОМУ ПРИМЕНЕНИЮ
ИЗМЕРЕНИЕ ТЕМПЕРАТУРЫ ЛБА (ГОЛОВЫ)
1) Убедитесь, что датчик чистый и целый.
2) Промакните сухой салфеткой висок в том месте, куда
будет прикладываться датчик.
3) Включите термометр, нажав на кнопку“ON/MEM”(вкл/память).

На дисплее появятся все функциональные символы.
Термометр будет готов к работе поле того, как на дисплее
появится сообщение“HEAD-°C (ГОЛОВА-°C) и Вы услышите
два коротких звуковых сигнала.
4) Приложите датчик к правому или левому виску;
нажмите и удерживайте кнопку SCAN (скан); после этого
медленно двигайте датчик вокруг виска. Термометр будет
издавать короткие звуковые сигналы, означающие, что
идет измерение.
5) Более продолжительный и интенсивный звуковой
сигнал означает, что измерение закончено (время,
необходимое для того, чтобы измерить температуру тела,
составляет 5 – 30 секунд в зависимости от температуры
тела у конкретного лица).
Если температура превышает 37,5°C, термометр издает
более продолжительный звуковой сигнал, за которым
следуют три более коротких звуковых сигнала.
6) Отпустите кнопку SCAN и после этого отведите датчик от
виска; на дисплее Вы увидите результаты измерения.
Примечание: Температура, показываемая на
дисплее, соответствует температуре в ротовой полости, т.е.
показатели, полученные после измерения температуры
лба, преобразуются и выдаются на экран, как если бы
температура измерялась во рту.
7) Если прибор не используется, он автоматически
выключается через 1 минуту.
ИЗМЕРЕНИЕ КОМНАТНОЙ ТЕМПЕРАТУРЫ И
ТЕМПЕРАТУРЫ ВОДЫ ( )
С помощью данного термометра можно измерить температуру
в помещении.
1). Включите термометр, нажав на кнопку“ON/MEM”.
На дисплее появятся все функциональные символы.
Термометр будет готов к работе после того, как на дисплее
появится сообщение“HEAD-°C”и вы услышите два

коротких звуковых сигнала.
2). Удерживая кнопку“ON/MEM”, нажмите кнопку SCAN. На
дисплее появится значок (надпись HEAD исчезнет).
3). Если Вы хотите измерить температуру в конкретной
точке, или температуру воды, то наведите термометр
на данную точку пространства или поверхность воды,
нажмите кнопку SCAN.
4). Если прибор не используется, он автоматически
выключается через 1 минуту. Как только он включается
снова, на дисплее высвечивается функция измерения
температуры головы (HEAD).
ГРАДУСЫ ЦЕЛЬСИЯ/ФАРЕНГЕЙТА
Данный термометр может измерять температуру в градусах
Цельсия и Фаренгейта.
Всякий раз, когда Вы хотите изменить единицы измерения,
необходимо сделать следующее:
1). При выключенном термометре удерживайте кнопку
SCAN в течение нескольких секунд, после чего нажмите и
удерживайте кнопку ON/MEM, пока на дисплее не появится
F° (или С°).
2). После того, как термометр издаст два коротких
звуковых сигнала, отпустите кнопку SCAN и кнопку
ON/MEM.
Теперь единицы измерения изменены.
Измерения производить в соответствии с указаниями, данными
в разделе ИНСТРУКЦИИ ПО ПРАВИЛЬНОМУ ПРИМЕНЕНИЮ.
ФУНКЦИЯ ПАМЯТИ
Этот прибор хранит в памяти 25 последних измерений для
определения возможных колебаний. Измерения запоминаются
автоматически после выключения прибора.
Запоминаются только показатели температуры лба (HEAD) от
22°C до 42,2°C (от 71,6°F до 108,0°F).
