Safety
Who This procedure is intended for use only by qualified ser ice technicians who ha e been
trained and authorized by BARCO !
Hot Surface Switch the projector to stand by and let it cool down for at least 15 minutes before
starting with the Analyser replacement.
Risk of Electrical
Shock
Power down the projector and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Once the projector is cooled down and the power is off, continue with the replacement
procedure.
Antistatic
Protection Steps
Wear a wrist band which is connected to the ground while handling the static sensiti e
parts.

Contents of the Kit
Type The kit contains a PBS (Polarizing Beam Splitter). This PBS can only be mounted in
BARCOGRAPHICS 6300 projector.

Access to the Modules
What has to be
done
The lens has to be remo ed and the top co er has to be opened.

Removing the
Lens
To remo e the lens, follow the next procedure:

Open the lens co er by pi oting it backwards and hook it
of.
Loosen the fixation screws of the motor part and pi ote it
upwards.
Open both lens locks by pulling them backwards.
Take the lens out of the lens house.

Pull the 3 rubber sealing pieces.
Turn out the 3 fixing screws.
Take off the top co er.

Electrical
Disconnection of
the PMP
Before remo ing the PMP, it must be electrically disconnected. Follow the next proce-
dure :

Pull out the 5 coax cables (A)
Pull out the white power cable connector (B).
Pull out the black connector (C) for the uniformity module.
Remo e both flat cables (D) by pressing ery carefully on
both sides of the indicated points to unlock.
Pull out the cable.

Turn out the indicated screws.
Take off the PMP.
If an SDI module is installed, unplug both coax cables
before taking off the PMP.

done
Three extra feet has to be mounted on upper side of the projector to turn the projector
upside down.

To mount the feet, follow the next procedure :

The old PBS has to be remo ed and replaced by the new one.

PBS
To remo e the PBS, follow the next procedure :

Turn out both fixing screws.
Take out the PBS.
Take the new PBS and remo e the protection foil on both
sides.
Insert the PBS so that the holes in the metal frame of the
PBS matches the notches (A, B) on the projector frame.
Secure this position by turning in both fixing screws.

connect first the I en O coax cable to this module.
Put the PMP module on its place.
Turn in the indicated screws.

The PMP must be electrically connected. Follow the next procedure :

Insert both flat cables (D) and press ery carefully on both
sides of the indicated points to lock.
Connect the 5 coax cables (A)
Connect the white power cable connector (B).
Connect the black connector (C) from the uniformity
module.
