During use the Applian e must never be dis onne ted from the Mains supply as
this will seriously affe t the safety and performan e of the applian e, parti ularly
in relation to surfa e temperatures be oming hot and gas operated parts not work-
ing effi iently.
The ooling fan is designed to run on after the ontrol knob has been swit hed off
to keep the front of the applian e and the ontrols ool until the applian e has nat-
urally ooled itself.

for e, and only in a well ventilated
spa e. Read the instru tions before
installing or using this applian e.

installed flush to base units.
Your 1st Y ar Guarant
To fulfil the onditions of your guarantee,
this applian e must be orre tly
installed and operated, in a ordan e
with these instru tions, and only be
used for normal domesti purposes.
Please note that the guarantee, and
Servi e availability, only apply to the
UK and Republi of Ireland.
Stability brack t
If the ooker is to be fitted with a flexible
inlet onne tion, a stability bra ket
should also be fitted to engage in the
ba k of the ooker. Make sure this is
re-engaged whenever you move the
ooker for leaning.
Gas & El ctrical conn ction
Please refer to installation instru tions
for the Gas & Ele tri al Safety Regulations
and the Ventilation Requirements.
In your own interest, and that of safety,
it is the law that all gas applian es be
installed by ompetent persons who
will ensure that the installation is in
a ordan e with “The Gas Safety
(Installation & Use) Regulations”, and
the “The Gas Safety (Installation and
Use) (Amendment) Regulations”. Failure
to omply with these Regulations is a
riminal offen e.
Gas Safe registered installers under-
take to work to satisfa tory standards.
Dis onne tion of gas and ele tri
applian es should always be arried
out by ompetent persons.
Warning: This applian e must be
earthed.
B for using th applianc for
the first time, remove any prote tive
polythene film and wash the oven
shelves and furniture in hot soapy
water, to remove their prote tive
oating of oil. Even so, when you first
turn on the oven or grill you may
noti e a smell and some smoke.

Glass door pan ls
To meet the relevant Standards of
Domesti ooking applian es, all the
glass panels on this applian e are
toughened to meet the fragmentation
requirements of BS3193. This ensures
that, in the unlikely event that a panel
breaks, it does so into small fragments
to minimise the risk of injury.
Please take are when handling, using
or leaning all glass panels as any
damage to the surfa es or edges may
result in the glass breaking without
warning or apparent ause at a later
date. Should any glass panel be
damaged, we strongly re ommend
that it is repla ed immediately.
Th cooling fan
When the applian e is swit hed on,
you may hear the ooling fan ome
on. This keeps the fas ia and ontrol
knobs ool during grilling / ooking
and will ontinue to operate for up to
20 minutes after the applian e has
been swit hed off.
During oven use the fan may y le on
and off. Should any fault o ur with the
ooling fan, the applian e will require
servi ing. Conta t Customer Support.
V ntilation
The use of a gas ooking applian e
results in the produ tion of heat and
moisture in the room in whi h it is
installed. Ensure that the kit hen is well
ventilated: keep natural ventilation
holes open or install a me hani al
ventilation devi e (me hani al extra tor
hood). Prolonged intensive use of the
applian e may all for additional
ventilation, for example, opening of a
window, or more effe tive ventilation,
for example in reasing the level of
me hani al ventilation where present.
If the ignition fails:
IChe k there is a spark when the
ignition button is depressed. If there
is no spark, he k that the ele tri ity
supply is swit hed on at the so ket.
IChe k that the gas supply is
swit hed on.
ITry another applian e in the so ket,
if that works, repla e the 13 amp
fuse in the ooker plug.
Moving th cook r
Do not attempt to move the ooker by
pulling on the doors or handles. Open
the door and grasp the frame of the
ooker, taking are that the door does
not shut on your fingers.
Take are to avoid damage to soft or
uneven floor overings when moving
the applian e. Some ushioned vinyl
floor overings may not be designed
to withstand sliding applian es without
marking or damage.

IUse oven gloves when removing
hot food / dishes from the oven or
grill. The oven / grill and utensils
will be very hot when in use.
IDo not use foil on oven shelves or
allow it to blo k the oven flue, as
this reates a fire hazard, and
prevents heat ir ulation.

before repla ing the oven light
bulb (if fitted), to avoid the risk of
ele tri sho k.
IWhen ooking heavy items - eg;
turkeys - do not pull the oven shelf
out with the item still on the shelf.

Burn r Ignition
Push in and turn the sele ted ontrol
knob anti lo kwise to the ‘full on’ position
and press the ignition swit h, or hold
a lighted mat h or taper to the burner,
until the burner lights.Hold the ontrol
knob in for 15 se onds. Do not hold
the ontrol knob in for longer that 15
se onds. If the burner fails to light
within this time, release the ontrol
knob and wait one minute before
attempting further ignition.
Turn the ontrol knob to the required
setting.
Adjust the burner flame so that it does
not extend over the pan base.
To tu n off, push in the ontrol knob
and turn lo kwise until the dot on the
ontrol knob is below the dot on the
fa ia panel.
To simm r - all burn rs
The simmer position is marked by the
small flame symbol.
Turn the sele ted ontrol knob past the
la ge flame symbol (FULL ON) to the
small flame symbol.
You may hear a slight popping noise
when the hob burners are operating
and this is quite normal, but if anything
about the ooker appears unusual,
su h as hange in flame appearan e,
or the operation of ontrols - seek
expert advi e.
The ontrol knob an be set at any
position between the small flame and
la ge flame symbols, allowing for
greater ontrol, and flexibility, while
ooking.

Pans
For optimum safety and performan e, we
re ommend the use of flat bottomed pans
with a base diameter of minimum 100mm
(4”) and maximum 250mm (10”).
Do not use double pans, rim based
pans, old misshapen pans or any pan
whi h is unstable when pla ed on a
flat surfa e.
Position pans over the entre of the
burners, resting on the pan supports.
If positioned off entre, smaller pans
may be unstable.
When ooking with fat or oil, never
leave unattended.
Turn pan handles to a safe position,
so they are out of rea h of hildren,
not overhanging the applian e, and
annot be aught a identally.
Commer ial simmering aids should
not be used as they reate ex essive
temperatures that an damage the
surfa e and may ause a hazard.
Pan supports
Always make sure the pan supports
are repla ed orre tly, and lo ated in
the hob spillage well.
To sav gas
IUse the size of pan most suited to
the size of the burner - ie; larger
pans on the larger burners, smaller
pans on the smaller burners.
IAdjust the flames so that they do
not li k up the sides of the pan.
IPut lids on sau epans and only heat
the amount of liquid you need.
IWhen liquids boil, redu e the ontrol
setting to maintain a simmer.
IConsider the use of a pressure
ooker for the ooking of a
omplete meal.
IPotatoes and vegetables will ook
qui ker if hopped into smaller pie es.
Th fold down lid
Caution: Glass lids may shatter when
heated. Turn off all the burners before
shutting the lid.
When opening and losing the lid, use
the ooler outer sides of the lid glass.
The lid must be opened fully, so there
is no danger of it losing while the hob
is being used.
The applian e is fitted with a safety
system, whi h will automati ally turn
off the hotplate burner ontrols if they
are inadvertently left on as the lid is
losed.
The lid is not intended to be used as a
work surfa e, as it be omes hot when
any part of the ooker is in use, and
the surfa e may be s rat hed if items
with rough or sharp surfa es are
pla ed on it.

Open the top oven / grill door.
Push in and turn the top oven / grill
ontrol knob lo kwise to the ‘FULL ON’
position.
To switch off, turn the ontrol knob
anti lo kwise to return it to the off posi-
tion.
Important: The top oven / grill door
must be fully open when the grill is used.
Pr h ating
For best ooked results, we
re ommend that you preheat the
grill for about 3 minutes.
