Important Safety Instructions for All
Integral Battery Charging
WARNING: Read all safety warnings, instructions,
and cautionary markings for the battery, cable
and product. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/
or seriousinjury.
WARNING: Only charge product using a certified
power adapter that is compliant with applicable
country regulations and international/regional
safety standards. Using adapters that do not meet
applicable safety standards could result in injury.
• The provided USB cable is not intended for any uses other
than charging

rechargeable tools.
Charging other types of tools may cause their batteries to
overheat and burst, resulting in personal injury, property
damage, fire, electric shock orelectrocution.
• DO NOT expose cable to water, rain orsnow.

Please take your BLACK+DECKER
with a spent battery to an authorized
BLACK+DECKER service center or to
your local retailer for recycling. In some
areas, it is illegal to place spent battery packs in the trash.
You may also contact your local recycling center for
information on where to drop off the spent battery pack. Do
not place in curbside recycling. For more information visit
www.call2recycle.org. or call the toll free number in the
RBRC®Seal.

BATTERIES
The product is not fully charged out of the carton. Before
using the product, read the safety instructions below and
then follow the charging proceduresoutlined.
NOTE: If the product is unused for approximately 90 days,
fully charge the battery to help prolong the life of the battery.
The label on your light may include the following symbols. The

• Do not disassemble or open, drop (mechanical abuse),
crush, bend or deform, puncture, or shred.
• Do not modify or remanufacture, attempt to insert
foreign objects into the battery, immerse or expose to
water or other liquids, or expose to fire, excessive heat
including soldering irons, or put in microwave oven.
• Only use the battery / light with a charging system
specified by the manufacturer/supplier.
• Do not short-circuit a battery or allow metallic or
conductive objects to contact both battery terminals
simultaneously.
• Dispose of used batteries promptly according to the
manufacturer/supplier’s instructions.
• Improper battery use may result in a fire, explosion, or
other hazard.
• Battery / light usage by children should be supervised.
• This manual contains important safety and operating
instructions.
• Before using battery charger, read all instructions and
cautionary warnings on battery charger and product
using battery.
• If the supplied charging cord is used in other products,
batteries in other products may burst causing personal
injury or damage.
• Do not expose charger to rain or snow.
• To reduce risk of damage to electric plug and cord, pull
by plug rather than cord when disconnecting charger.
• Make sure cord is located so that it will not be stepped
on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to damage or
stress.
• An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely
necessary. Use of improper extension cord could result in
a risk of fire, electric shock or electrocution.
• Do not attempt to open the light. There are no customer
serviceable parts inside.
• DO NOT incinerate the light or batteries even if they are
severely damaged or completely worn out. The batteries
can explode in a fire. Toxic fumes and materials are
created when lithium ion battery packs are burned.
• Do not charge or use battery in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or
dust. Inserting or removing the battery from the charger
may ignite the dust or fumes.
• If battery contents come into contact with the skin,
immediately wash area with mild soap and water. If
battery liquid gets into the eye, rinse water over the
open eye for three minutes or until irritation ceases. If
