1 SAFETY
1.1 Safety instructions
DANGER
Risk of injury!
► Connect and operate the appliance only in
accordance with the specifications on the rating
plate.
►The blades are very sharp. When the appliance is
switched off, the drive continues running briefly!
►Do not change accessories and tools until the
appliance is at a standstill (rotary switch to 0/off).
►Repairs may be carried out by a qualified electrician
only!
►The user may be put at considerable risk and injured
by improper repairs!
►Electric shock may occur if live components are
touched in-side the appliance!
►Do not touch components in the appliance. Even the
modules can be live!
► Before commencing repairs, ALWAYS disconnect the
appliance from the power supply!
►If tests have to be conducted while the appliance is
live, ALWAYS use a residual-current-operated
circuit-breaker!
►The protective conductor connection must not
exceed the standardised values! This is essential fo
r
personal safety and appliance function!
►When repairs are complete, conduct a test in
accordance with VDE 0701 or the corresponding
national regulations as well as a performance test!
►Disable appliances which cannot be repaired.
1.2 Repair instructions
CAUTION
►NEVER attempt repairs by randomly replacing
components!
►ALWAYS proceed systematically and comply with
the technical documentation for the appliance!
►As a rule, printed-circuit boards are not repaired but
are completely replaced with original spare parts.
Exceptions are documented separately.

2 INSTALLATION
2.1 Installation
►Thoroughly clean the appliance before using for the first time!
►Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with
the specifications on the rating plate.
►If the power cord and/or appliance are damaged, do not
switch on the appliance!
►Operate the appliance indoors and at room temperature only.
►Always pull out the plug after use, before cleaning, before
leaving the room or if a fault occurs!
►Do not immerse the base unit in water or clean under running
water!
►Do not change accessories and tools until the appliance is at
a standstill (rotary switch to 0/off)!
2.2 Scope of delivery
The product package varies depending on the appliance model. All
models contain:
►Twin beating whisk with plastic support
►Blender jug, 1,5 l
►Protective cover for blender drive
►Dough scraper
►Operating instructions

3 OPERATION
3.1 Operations and controls
Note:
►Before operating the appliance and accessories for
the first time, clean thoroughly!
3.1.1 Standard attachments
1 Mixing bowl (plastic or stainless steal, depending on variant)

3.1.2 Selecting the setting
The appliance operates with 4 different speed setting selected with
the rotary switch.
Speed setting Mis for momentary operation. The drive only runs for
as long as the rotary switch is held in position M.

3.2 Working with the bowl and the tools
DANGER
Risk of injury from rotating tools!
►While the appliance is operating, keep fingers
clear of the mixing bowl.
►Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, hai
r
and clothing, as well as spatulas, scrapers and
other utensils away from dough hook and whisks
during operation to prevent injury and/or damage
to the base unit or accessories.
►Do not change tools until the drive has come to a
standstill – when the appliance is switched off the
drive continues running briefly.
Note:
Appliance can be operated with the mixing bowl only
if the protective cover is placed on the blender drive.
If using the blender drive, place the protective cover
on the unused drive for the bowl.
►Pull the mains cable out of the
storage compartment on the rear
of the appliance
►If the mixing bowl is to be used,
place the protective cover on the
blender drive
►Attach the mixing bowl and turn
it anticlockwise to the limit stop
Note:
Failure to make sure that the
bowl is properly seated on the
drive coupling before the base
unit is turned on can result in
damage to the bowl and/or
coupling
►Insert the required tool
Use the recommended tools for the
recipes
Double whisk:
For whisking egg, cream and light
dough, e.g. sponge mixture
Kneading hook:
For kneading heavy dough and
mixing-in ingredients that ought not
be cut, e.g. raisins and chocolate

►Remove the bowl by rotating it in a clockwise direction
►Clean all parts

3.3 Working with the blender
DANGER
Risk of injury from sharp blades / rotating drive!!
►Never place fingers in the attached blender!
►Do not remove / attach the blender until the drive
is at a standstill!
DANGER
Risk of scalding!
If processing hot liquids, steam escapes through the
funnel in the lid.
►Process a maximum of 0, 5 litres (18 fluid ounces)
of hot or frothing liquid at a time!
WARNING
CAUTION! Possible damage to blender!
►Do not put deep-frozen fruit and vegetables into
the blender!
►Never operate the blender empty!
Blender will not work unless the cover has been
attached and locked.
3.3.1 Working with the blender
►Pull the mains cable out of the
storage compartment on the rear of
the appliance
►Remove the protective cover from
the blender drive
To do this, press the back of the
protective cover
►Place the protective cover on the
mixing bowl drive

Note:
When working, hold the blender cover by the edge!
3.3.2 Adding more ingredients
►Switch off the appliance with the rotary switch
►Remove the cover and add ingredients
or
►Take out the funnel on the blender cover and gradually add solid
ingredients via the feed tube
►Pour liquid through the funnel
3.3.3 After using the appliance
►Switch off the appliance with the rotary switch
►Pull out the mains plug
►Rotate the blender in a clockwise direction and remove
►Clean the blender and all parts immediately after use!
►Place protective cover on the blender drive

3.4 Cleaning
DANGER
Risk of electric shock!
►Before working on the appliance, pull out mains
plug!
►Never immerse base unit in water or place unde
r
running water!
►Do not use a steam cleaner!
3.4.1 Cleaning the base unit
WARNING
Caution!
►Do not use abrasive cleaning agents!
►Pull out mains plug
►Wipe the base unit and protective cover with a soft damp cloth
►If required, use a little washing-up liquid
►Then dry the base unit
3.4.2 Cleaning the bowl
WARNING
Risk of damage!
►Do not wedge plastic parts in the dishwasher, as
they could be permanently deformed during the
washing process.
►Bowl and double whisk are dishwasher-proof.
Do not clean drive shaft of the bowl and kneading
hook in the dishwasher!
►Before cleaning the bowl in the dishwasher take the
drive shaft out of the bowl.
►Rotate the bowl and base upwards.
►Rotate and remove drive shaft from the fins in an anti-clockwise
direction.
►Pull out drive shaft.

3.4.3 Cleaning the blender
DANGER
Risk of injury from sharp blade!
►Do not wash the blade insert with bare hands!
►Clean them with a brush!
WARNING
CAUTION! Possible damage!
►Do not clean blade insert in the dishwasher!
►Do not use abrasive cleaning agents!
►Do not leave blade insert in water!
►Clean the blender immediately after use.
This will prevent residue from drying on and attacking the plastic (e.g.
by essential oils in herbs)
Pour water with a little washing-up liquid into the attached blender
(approx. half full) Switch on the blender for several seconds (setting
M). Pour out the water and rinse out the blender with clear water.
►Clean blender jug (without blade insert), lid and funnel in the
dishwasher.
►Clean blade insert with a brush under running water.
3.4.3.1 Removing the blade/base assembly
►The blade/base assembly may be easily removed by inverting the
blender and using the blender cover to fit over the tabs on the
blade/base assembly.
►Turn it counter clockwise until it stops and then lift up
►To assemble or reassemble blade/base assembly into the blender,
insert the blade/base assembly into the blender jar and press down
on the blade/base assembly.
►Turn clockwise to the stop

5.2 Safety systems
5.2.1 Safety lock
The appliance is equipped with a safety lock.
It can only be switched on if either the protective cover or the blender
with a locked lid is on the blender drive.
The protective cover or slide switch in the blender handle operate a
switch that interrupts power supply to the motor.
5.2.1.1 Protective cover
If the blender drive is not needed, it
is to be covered with the protective
cover.
To use the blender remove the
protective cover from the blender
drive first. To do this, press the back
of the protective cover and remove
the cover.
5.2.1.2 Safety lock for blender
Attach the blender and rotate all the way in an anti-clockwise
direction.
Ensure that the marks on the blender and appliance are in alignment.
The lug on the blender cover must be fully located in the slot in the
blender handle.
Blender will not work unless the cover has been attached and locked.

5.2.2 Blender with safety lock
The appliance is equipped with a safety lock.
It can only be switched on if either the protective cover or the blender
with a locked lid is on the blender drive.
If the blender lid (1) is turned anticlockwise, the slide switch (2)
actuates a switch via a tripping device (3).
This cuts the power supply to the motor.

6 REPAIR
6.1 General disassembly
Tools:
►Flat-tipped slotted screwdriver , 6 - 8 mm blade width
►Crosshead-Screwdriver
6.1.1 Procedure
DANGER!
Risk of electric shock!
►Pull out mains plug before disassembly.
Appliance must not be live!
WARNING
Risk of damage!
►You do not need to unscrew the control panel o
r
the rotating switch to open the housing.
Four crosshead-screws and 11 snap-in hooks connect the bottom
group of the appliance to the upper section of the housing.
To open the housing:
►Lie the appliance on its back
►Unscrew the 4 crosshead-screws (1) in the bottom group
►Undo the 11 snap-in hooks. To do so, insert a flat-tipped slotted
screwdriver in the openings on the bottom group and carefully
push the snap-in hooks in the direction shown in the diagram
►Detach the upper section of the housing from the bottom group.
Note the length of the electric cables as you do so
►To reassemble, proceed in the reverse order of disassembly.
Make sure that cables are not trapped and all snap-in hooks snap in
to place securely.
Tightening torque for the screws (1) 0.6 – 1.0 Nm.

6.1.2 Assembly – cable guide
WARNING
Risk of damage!
►When assembling the appliance, you must follow
the cable guide!
(1) Mains cable
(2) Electronics module circuit board
(3) Blue strand – to the lid switch Black strand – to the motor
(4) The strands must be laid in the recesses on the transmission
holder frame, motor carrier and upper section of the housing!

6.2 Replacing the lid switch and the housing
Tools:
►Crosshead-Screwdriver
6.2.1 Procedure
►Open the appliance as described under “General disassembly”
►Remove the decorative front panel (1)
►Disconnect the strands (2) leading to the lid switch from the motor
and electronics circuit board, and pull them back through the
openings in the upper section of the housing
►Loosen the screw (3) on the lid switch support (do not unscrew it
completely) and remove the lid switch with the tripping device from
the guide
►Install new lid switches in the reverse sequence. Note the
tightening torques for the screws (3): 0.3 – 0.6 Nm
►When assembling the upper section of the housing, make sure that
the top rubber bushing (4) and the insert for the key mechanism (5)
are both installed

6.3 Replacing motor and belt
Tools:
►Screwdriver Torx T20
6.3.1 Procedure
►Open the appliance as described under “General disassembly”
►Remove the motor transmission unit from the rubber bushing
►From the underside of the motor transmission unit, unscrew the 4
Torx T20 screws (1)
►Push the motor to the centre of the transmission and remove the
belt from the motor shaft
►Take the motor from the holder frame and replace it. If necessary,
insert new belt
►Insert the new motor in the holder frame and slide it in the direction
of the arrow
►Screw in the 4 Torx T20 screws (1) until the motor can be slid
further
►Place the belt on the motor shaft
►Tighten the belt by pulling the motor in the direction of the arrow
and secure the motor with the screws (1)
Check belt tension: It must not be possible to push the belt in further
than 7 - 10 mm from the position shown
