Hybrid Vehicle: This wheel-
chair accessible vehicle is built
on a hybrid chassis. Hybrid
vehicles utilizes combustion
and electric motors to propel
the vehicle. Using the strengths
of both combustion and electric
motors translates to improved
fuel efciency and reduced
exhaust emissions.
Electronic Control System:
The electronic control system
provides simple one-touch
activation of conversion power
functions. For your conve-
nience, the power features can
be activated using an OEM re-
mote keyless entry transmitter
or one of the interior switches
detailed on pages 12-14.
Ramp Access Passenger Side
Power Slide Door: The control
system activates the passenger
side power slide door for ramp
access. The slide door and low-
ered oor conguration provides
56" clear vertical passageway.
Note: The driver-side sliding door
is lowered to provide clear pas-
sage also.
Ramp: The fully automatic power
ramp provides 29-1/4" usable
width. The power ramp can be
manually operated (backup de-
ploy and stow electrical override).
Electrohydraulic Power Kneel-
ing Rear Suspension: “Kneel-
ing” is the lowering motion of the
electrohydraulic rear suspension.
The kneel feature reduces the
slope of the ramp when deployed.
Lowered Floor from Rear
Axle to Toe Pan: This feature
provides additional headroom,
and further reduces the slope
of the ramp.
Ground Clearance: The
lowered oor results in reduced
ground clearance. Be aware of
limited ground clearance.
Ground Effects: Exterior
color-matched ground effect
panels conceal the lowered
oor and lowered sliding doors.
Forward-Facing Wheelchair
Tiedown and Occupant
Restraint System: Floor track
(anchorage point) provided in
the front passenger seat and
midpoint lowered oor areas
can be utilized for restraint of
wheelchair passenger(s).
FEATURES

tems can be purchased (option).
Note: Wheelchair capacity may
be limited based on the dimen-
sions of specic wheelchairs and
vehicle payload capacity.

seats are equipped with quick-
release seat base attachments
(making seat removal and instal-
lation procedures simple).

OPERATION
Before Operation
Before utilizing wheelchair acces-
sible features, park the vehicle on
a level surface away from ve-
hicular trafc. Place the vehicle
transmission in Park and en-
gage the parking brake. Power
function control switches can be
activated only if the vehicle trans-
mission is in Park or Neutral.
Terminology
“Kneeling” is the lowering mo-
tion of the electrohydraulic rear
suspension. The term “deploy”
(unfold) indicates the lowering
motion of the ramp to the de-
ployed position. “Stow” (fold) is
the raising motion of the ramp to
the vertical (stowed) position.
The terms “Open” and “Close”
refer to sequences of power
functions that will occur when
activated by the electronic con-
trol system. When activating the
Open functions, the power door
opens, the kneel system lowers
the rear of the vehicle and the
ramp deploys. When activating
Close functions, the ramp stows,
the kneel system raises the rear
of the vehicle and the power
door closes.
Control System
Power functions are managed
by the electronic control system.
The control system can be acti-
vated using the remote keyless
entry transmitter or any one of
the controls addressed on pages
12-14.

OPERATION
12V Accessory Battery
General Information
Hybrid vehicles rely on the HV
System (HV battery, HV inver-
tor, and HV generator) to provide
power for many vehicle systems,
such as the power train, HVAC
and others. Since this vehicle
does not rely as heavily on a
12V system like a conventional
vehicle would, the 12V accessory
battery’s power is reduced. Once
running, the vehicles onboard
systems will maintain the 12V
accessory battery. Refer to the
OEM manual for reference the
12V accessory battery.
Guidelines for Charge Retention
12V Accessory Battery
Items that will help prevent 12V
accessory battery drain, when not
in use:
Do not leave key fob in vehicle.
Do not leave any door open.
The conversion systems functions
are powered by the 12V accessory
battery and can impact the charge
of the 12V accessory battery.
Battery Maintenance Guidelines
& Recharging
In case of 12V accessory battery
charge loss, adhere to all OEM
precautions and procedures when
recharging the 12V battery.
12V accessory battery precau-
tions, location, maintenance
guidelines and recharging pro-
cedures have not be effected
by conversion. Refer to OEM
manual.

OPERATION
Power Door Manual Operation
The passenger side power sliding
door can be operated manually.
Unlock the passenger sliding
door and put the Main switch in
the Off position. Open the slide
door from inside or outside using
the OEM door handles. Always
open the door smoothly. Avoid
using excessive force when
opening and closing the door.

Page 18
OPERATION
Automatic Kneel System
Kneeling is the lowering motion of
the electrohydraulic rear suspen-
sion. The kneel system lowers
the rear of the vehicle. Lowering
the rear of the vehicle reduces
the slope of the ramp.
When the electronic control sys-
tem is activated to start the Open
functions, the kneel system starts
to lower the rear of the vehicle
at the same time the power side
door starts to open. When the
Close functions are activated, the
rear of the vehicle starts to raise
at the same time the ramp begins
to stow.
Kneel On/Off Feature
A kneel on/off feature is incor-
porated in the electronic control
system. This feature provides
the option of kneeling the vehicle
when operating the power door
and power ramp. The Ramp and
Kneel On/Off switch turns the
kneel system on and off. The
3-position rocker switch must be in
the center position in order for
the kneeling system to be acti-
vated. The Ramp and Kneel On/
Off switch is located on the center
console. See page 15.
Note: If the vehicle is in the
kneeled position (with ramp
deployed) and the transmission
is disengaged from Park “P,” the
ramp will stow and the vehicle will
raise.
Do not leave your vehicle in the
kneeled (lowered) position for
extended periods of time.
In the event the kneel system is
not functioning properly, have the
kneel system repaired immedi-
ately. Do not drive with the rear of
the vehicle in the lowered position.
Attempting to do so will result in
an extremely rough and unstable
ride.
Contact your sales representative
or call 1-800-488-0359. One of
our Customer Care representa-
tives will direct you to an autho-
rized service center.
