New features of the MPrint MW-120
The MPrint MW-120 is ideal for printing from your own
customized software. In addition to the standard features
found on the MPrint range, the MW-120 has the additional
three features:
■Character (font/text) generation is built into the MW-
120 hardware. No complicated bitmap image data
needs to be rendered.
■Brother’s own printer commands, based upon the
Epson ESC/P emulation are included. Simply send the
required escape sequences to change font size, font
style, print position etc.
■In addition to the IrDA and USB interfaces found on
some of the other printers in the MPrint range, the
MW-120 has an RS-232C Serial interface to provide
the widest compatibility of connections.
Please note:
The style of serial connector used is of a
special type. Brother can provide a
special cable to convert this connector to
a standard D-sub, 9 pin serial connector.
Brother can also provide developer information, ESC/P
command reference and further technical information.

Nouvelles fonctions de la MPrint MW-120
La MPrint MW-120 est idéale pour l’impression depuis
votre propre logiciel personnalisé. Outre les fonctions
standard que l’on trouve sur toute la gamme MPrint, la
MW-120 possède trois fonctions supplémentaires :
■ La génération de caractères (police/texte) est incorporée
dans la machine MPrint. Il n’est pas nécessaire de traiter
des données d’image bitmap compliquées.
■Les propres commandes d’imprimante de Brother,
basées sur l’émulation Epson, sont incluses. Il suffit
d’envoyer les séquences d’échappement nécessaires
pour modifier la taille de la police, le style de la police,
la position d’impression, etc.
■
Outre les interfaces IrDA et USB que l’on trouve sur
certaines autres imprimantes de la gamme MPrint, la MW-
120 possède une interface série RS-232C qui autorise la
plus vaste compatibilitéde connexions possible.
Veuillez noter : Le connecteur série utiliséest d’un
style spécial. Brother propose un
câble spécial pour convertir ce
connecteur en connecteur série D-
sub à9 broches standard.

Neue Funktionen von MPrint MW-120
MPrint MW-120 eignet sich hervorragend zum Drucken
aus verschiedenen Anwendungen. Zusätzlich zu den
Standardfunktionen der MPrint-Serie bietet der MW-120
die folgenden Vorteile:
■Der Drucker enthält einen internen Schriftfont.
Für erfahrene Anwender und Programmierer
■Der Drucker kann über spezielle Brother Drucker-
befehle (basierend auf der Epson ESC/P-Emulation)
angesteuert werden. Senden Sie einfach die entspre-
chenden ESC-Sequenzen zum Drucker, um Schriftart,
Schriftstil, Druckposition usw. zu ändern.
■Zusätzlich zur IrDA- und USB-Schnittstelle, die auch
bei anderen Druckern der MPrint-Serie zur Verfügung
steht, ist der MW-120 mit einer seriellen RS-232C-
Schnittstelle ausgestattet, um bestmögliche
Anschlusskompatibilität zu bieten.
Hinweis: Der MW-120 ist mit einer speziellen
seriellen Anschlussbuchse ausgestattet
.
Als Sonderzubehör ist ein Datenkabel
erhältlich, mit dem der serielle Anschluss in
einen 9-poligen seriellen Standard-
